Week of skywalking makes it hard for anyone to follow - never lose track of the team, never get spotted by Mari. Would need week of skywalkers, chakra for all day flying summons or Kisame passing skywalkers over 7th Path.

They don't have any way to detect us high up on SWs. We're not visible from the ground. It makes more sense do to this early since that means the other countries won't have heard yet and won't be looking for Goketsu Hazou.
Waiting just gives them time to mobilize.

The 7th Path Squirrel Clan is decently well informed about stuff.
Getting the Scroll is possible, but even Mari will have a hard time convincing them if the Crows are involved. Also she dead.
But there is a "Second Conclvae" and the Kangaroos are there. Maybe Kanga can actually tell us more.
She sounds lovely, I am sure Mari will be fine:

Honestly, given the stakes, and the need to plan and integrate with the rest of the team, any update that spends a chunk of time moving past the next day or two is out for me.
I would like to not ask, but talk with Kei and Snowflake about giving shadow clone to people, since they'll have strong feelings on it and we could address that in advance.
I would also love for us to do the capacitor rune TODAY, so that when Noburi gets there tomorrow he can tell us more about how he interacts with it, so we can refine our knowledge for future attempts, but that's mostly just wanting to check one more thing off the list, and scribing seals is at least cute integration bait.

It'd be nice to get the Squirrel scroll, but I'm concerned that if we're running around doing that we won't get enough research done, since we have to be settled down to do research, right?
Good point. I think that this is a good reason to stay near the coast or even set up a base in the southern oceans, say in the Nanmen (off the map).
Sending, say, a dog summon would give away the fact that we're nearby. We should consider carefully before sending summons in.
Yup. If we kill Akatsuki and then Orochimaru steals the rift, we can probably go kill Orochimaru. It shouldn't be harder than killing Akatsuki
Fair point. However, the Seventh Path was made stronger than the Human Path (see Kamehameha saying that the Seventh Path can't be influenced by Externals) and seals still work on the Seventh Path. We could try the anti-seal rune, but I'd be surprised if it were possible.

You gotta remember that this isn't the modern day with instant access to information. The other countries will only hear about this when their spies in Leaf report to them, that's several days of travel time at least. Could be weeks unless Naruto makes a public announcement.
Then their hunter-nin aren't waiting around for a mission like this, so they've got to be contacted and sent out... a week shouldn't be enough time for them to be on high alert yet.

Might I recommend we claim we have letters from Naruto, but not show them to the Toad Sages unless it's needed to convince them? This would give plausible deniability on the freak chance Itachi/Kisame somehow manages to corner them, or otherwise lets them honestly say that they have no concrete evidence Hazou's telling the truth. Not a huge deal but would give them a bit of flexibility in future interactions, and the cost of doing so IMO is minimal.

It's been a week since Mari left Leaf (unless I misunderstood that part), we are going to travel to the mountains in Sand thats probably 1-3 days, we are going to to stay there XX days.
Us running out of a city with a Jiraiya informant with ninja speed triggered a series of events that destroyed Jiraiya's eastern network (or it was already fucked, but whatever). Yeah different situation, but we should probably still be careful. (No @faflec it wasn't Mari, it was Ami)
And I am not even saying we should't go. Just that everyone is aware that we are going to be in a place that is surrounded by two major nations and the Akatsuki support nation (plus minor nations I guess). How all those nations are going to use their "intelligence networks" is a complete unknown factor to us.
Anyway, the plan does ask the Team, maybe they say no *shrug*.

This seems like overkill to me, in what situation is Itachi going to make the Toad Sages testify about our doings on the Seventh Path, such that "I swore not to discuss that" is not a sufficient answer?
This undercuts our credibility in the moment, possibly leading to worse outcomes. I don't want to make this change. It feels like we're making ourselves less convincing in the moment for basically nothing.

I don't imagine it will take very long, but yes, that's true. Technically Hazou and Kagome could likely research in a base camp while the others gather intel, though if we need to move on we'd have to leave the base behind.
With the power and skills of our current team Uplift I don't think it would take very long though. 7 ninja, 3 of which are jonin level combatants, Mari SC army, and so on. Mari to gather intel, Hazou to track, etc.
Huh it could be an issue if the Squirrels are near Crow... or it could be an opportunity, perhaps...

Can we tell Noburi to summon them to the Human Path so they can look around? I think that having the Toad Sages confirm that the family isn't being followed or manipulated is safer than sending Canvass to do it.
Will they be able to find it? IIRC it's kinda in a random patch of wilderness.

You recently recorded is getting a bunch of TH XP, correct? Can we include that in the training plan, since there's no downside to increasing it until it hits a new pyramid level? 100 TH XP -> going from TH10 to TH14, I believe? (4 levels of 50 XP, at double cost)

There is a downside - we stagnate sooner

There's no possible way for Hazou to beat them as it stands, there's nothing he could've done against the previous one either
(That being said I personally have no problems stagnating more often, I'm just saying why other players are not jumping at the chance to consume all our notes.)
