Additionally, the Toad Sages require that Hazou complete a technique hacking project under their supervision to prove that he is ready to leave their instruction. You may vote in a project at your leisure (or multiple, and the Toad Sages will pick the most beginner-appropriate one). TH mechanics are forthcoming.
Will this be its own vote, or folded into an action plan?

[X] Training Plan: Hazo, Hackerman
Chakra Adept Stunt (-250 XP)
TH 0 -> 9(-90 XP)
Total: -340 XP

Should be viable after FOOM XP comes in.

Temporal Runic Array 150+

Runic Array

The final evolution of the Temporal Rune, instead of a single central rune, utilizes a runic array to increase the speedup factor significantly. Speedup is defined by the number in the name. 100 being a normal rate of time passing. Uses the natural number of runic elements (however many that may be) lasts the natural duration, and covers the natural amount of space.

You should make this be "whatever the natural, 150+" amount of time boost, is.

No, I mean, like buy the stunt + TH 10 all at once, as opposed to buying up to TH 9 and getting TH 10 next update.
The risk of getting distracted, I guess? So if SC XP permits, I'd much rather get it over with now so there's literal 0 chance of fumbling it.

As for the jutsu project, how about something for tilling a field quickly and efficiently?

For the next chapter, I propose the following: we do one paper seal research cycle. Once that's done, all of our runes should have expended themselves. We destroy all runes and runic prototypes, pack up the substrate (by the way, am I correct in assuming we can't reuse that?), return to our previous research site, and do the same there. Once that's done, we should have fully covered our tracks in terms of leaving runes lying around (please correct me if I'm wrong here) and we move to a new research site. Going forward, if we do 1-2 runic research cycles, followed by a paper seal research cycle, at each site, we should be able to destroy all the evidence before we leave, without spending too long at any one site. I'm not actually sure how dangerous it is to stay in one place for too long, perhaps we should talk to Kei and get her to optimize a schedule for us.

Anyways, if you couldn't tell, I'm a little paranoid about getting caught by Akatsuki because we stayed in the same place for too long, and/or them tracking us down and finding abandoned runes at old campsites. I'm probably not going to lobby for this too hard in the future if no one else cares about this, but if the worst comes to pass I will tell you I told you so.

The full-size explosive rune was bigger.

No.

Assuming Hazou researches the variant that extends edged weapons with an invisible, hypersharp cutting edge, it's safe to assume that the seal will generalize to relatively normal edged weapons like kunai and axes instead of being specific to his gauntlets.

Hazou is now eligible to buy the 250 XP "Chakra Adept" stunt which makes the Technique Hacking skill available for purchase. Levels of Technique Hacking require a teacher to purchase until level 10 is reached. Additionally, the Toad Sages require that Hazou complete a technique hacking project under their supervision to prove that he is ready to leave their instruction. Can we vote to spend the next 14 XP to get TH up to 10 in a training plan or do we need to wait until it comes in after the next update and then spend it?

[X] (THing) Baby's First Jutsu
  • A noncombat, modified version of Earth Rend (or Spine of the Earth?) that tills fields rough enough that civilians would otherwise find it difficult/impossible to work.
  • Less Chakra-intensive MARI
  • A sturdier version of Mud Hut (more compact walls/ceiling)

Actually, I think we should definitely talk to her about this. If Kei thinks it's sufficiently safe to stay in the same place for 30 days at a time, that allows us to relax that constraint on the temporal runes.

[X] (THing) Baby's First Jutsu

[X] (THing) Modified MEW
  • Multiple Earth Wall variant that produces stone with a slightly different composition than the usual MEW granite
    • literally just slightly different in any way, so we can get veterancy on creating jutsus that create stone with specific mineral compositions

Same policy as seals with respect to links?

[name]
A modification of Earth Rend that is non-combat viable, but great at leveling ground. Intended to be used for NOBURI. This redesign(?) is teachable to other ninja without sharing Earth Rend.

@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped
Are you guys going to keep the TH mechanics that Asuma spoke about where the ostentatiousness of the ninjutsu name affects its actual stats?

I'm leaving my proposed name blank for now.

What do you think happens if someone tries to step into a noticeably slowed or sped up area? Seems like funky things could happen at the interface. Substituting out is probably (?) safe because Substitution is weird but if we can get someone to run into a slowed down zone I think bad things might happen to their faces. Even better would be running full speed into a sped up zone. Suddenly your front half is going twice as fast as your back half.

This would obviously be hard given that chakra sense is a pretty common technique among S-rankers but it might make time runes great area denial techniques if we can combine them with anti-substitution runes.

Have we started thinking about making MARS work with runes? That is, paper seals that activate runes?

> Trying to Substitute into a Time Rune's AoE causes physics to glitch, and your avatar is yeeted towards the horizon, ignoring friction. Spaghettification during this process is both normal and fatal. Do the Konami Code via handseals to reverse this glitch (disclaimer: this only works on AugJEV software. No solution has been found on the FtD software, plausibly due to the Dummy Sage DRM).

It really would be fantastic if we could somehow cook up an entirely non-combat "Ninshou no Jutsu" and call it the "Clear Communication Technique".

*holds out hope for mechanics making that feasible*

Sorry, missed this. What's the problem here? Do you think lower duration will be harder? I don't get it. It's more convenient if the runes only last a week
Pretty much this, yeah:
These runes are definitely getting hard, especially with Hazō's strict limitation on how long the rune can last.
We should go back to the easiest duration and try to crank it up as high as it will go, or at least see if two weeks is easier than one.

This would be genjutsu in combination with time dilation runes. You need to chill people out (Sunny Days) and then get them to slow down. T125 modified to only impact cognition would have the net effect of forcing people to spend 25% more time thinking about what they say.
