Hivemind:Do we have a preference on Righteous Face Punching Redux vs Floor is Lava? If we cut Floor is Lava I think I'll just go full steam ahead on "Hazou spars with any Jounin or Chunin he can find in addition to : Lee, Gai, etc."

Cut floor is lava. Sideways training is great, but sparring is likely to be more immediately instructive.

I have done so.

Have done the sparring in a way that isn't just running around looking for people throughout the city, and trying to convince them to spar us after rudely interrupting them doing whatever they were doing.

To all: I will not be making any edits to my plan.

If anyone no longer wishes to do this, go vote for one of the others or the interlude suggestion.

Is 250 words which is a good size for a plan.

Not really super optimized for a week of time expenditure but OTOH the sword of temporal advancement needs to get-a-swingin' at some point.

Put link to @Radvics seal loudout prep that we can hopefully finish within the next day or two.

Uh... For what it's worth, it's >100 hours of work to go from "post-exam loadout" to my linked sealing loadout. My guess is that timewise, building this loadout will take ~2 weeks of full time work to complete, ~1 week if all we do is eat, sleep, and seal with no research, training, or social schenanigans. I would be incredibly surprised if the QMs let us get 100 hours of work done "off screen between actions" over the course of 2 days, especially as 2 days of no sleep nonstop sealing will only get us halfway there. I figure extending your plan to a week means Hazou puts in ~20 hour days and spends his "unable to sleep, crying over Akane" time scribing seals. At the end of which, while not having advanced all his goals as he had hoped (e.g. Tsunade, Pangolins, civilian uplift), he's at least supplied for seals for his team. That gives him ~10 hours per day to act towards the action plan (which I think is just barely adequate for what he has planned) and ~10 hours per day cr- supplying seals for his team, which, combined with asking Kagome to provide some of the explosives, would be enough to get us there.

Huh. Yeah okay, that works. I didnt look over the numbers too carefully

Well, hopefully your plan will win then and we can spend a week on this. Although, it will incentivize people to NOT spend time on a montage later in the month IMO, if we spend a week doing this

[X] Action Plan: A Week to Do Things.

Speeding up time is good. Incredibly minor version increments on plans are even better.

I've been pretty busy these past two weeks, with a new job and some unrelated stuff eating all my spoons. Voting and the occasional oneliner shitpost is all I got, I'm afraid.

Don't worry! Oneliner shitposts are the key to eventually becoming a meme! (apparently)

Also, I remember vote counting tallys doing weird things: can if I vote for Vecht's plan, will it unvote for my plan? And if I vote for both, will it lose the position of my plan?

Edit:
Did some testing. It seems to work by just adding another vote.

@MMKII, if you want drinking, you could try to call into reality that Mari vs. Tsunade vs. Hana drink-off I envisioned somewhere in the last two thousand pages. Mari wants a rematch with Tsunade, Hana is coming to Leaf in a few days, Hana and Mari are in conflict — it'll be hilarious. Maybe add Anko there too.

"No" and "probably not", respectively. The tally setting the QMs use ("by line") works as approval voting, but the ordering of voters is sometimes unintuitive. I think you'll stay as the plan's "author" if your vote for your plan is the first vote for this plan (i. e., if nobody goes back and edits a post preceding your plan with a vote for your plan), but I'm not sure.

My only worry is some sort of social faux on behalf of Hazō.

Also, do we have a clear list of people to invite to game night?

@Radvic Any chance you could ask to check things through with Jiraiya/Mari/someone else, just in case?
What things? Making our seals? Doing sealing research? Using "floor is lava" to travel the village? Asking Jounin to spar? Game night?
answering yes means I will not put any in.
I don't want to add a general "check things with Jiraiya/Mari/someone else" clause on account of it either being too vague to be useful or too much "Hey Mari/Jiraiya/someone else, run my life for me," but I could see about making sure its ok before doing either floor is lava, game night invitations, or asking Jounin to spar as those may impact our social status.

The latter two, then. Basically anything socially related :p

And also because we have no idea where some people live for sparring/game night.

I mean, what can we really do to avoid this? Have Hazou seclude himself in a sealing lab and not interact with anyone outside the family? That's not how the world is changed.

Incidentally, I agree with the observation that Hazou was very explicitly and somewhat unusually observant of his fellows' behaviour this chapter, including subtle nuances of expressions and social cues. Maybe we can build on this somehow? "Throughout the training, Hazou makes an effort to observe other people and attempt to intuit the reasons for their behaviour."?

Challenge her to a drinking contest and nominate Hana as our champion?

"It's an option. I'm not saying it isn't. But whatever we do is going to need careful handling, like Sunny herself. She's got a vote, but she's also got zero political capital in Leaf, and the demerit for her in involving herself with Leaf politics is that it could ripple back across her medic-nin activities as a whole. I don't need to tell you what her losing her veneer of neutrality would do to her international work."

As far as Hazō was concerned, it would be worthwhile even then. Damage done to worldwide medical efforts would be a horrible thing to risk, but… Jiraiya was the only leader remotely open to Uplift. They needed him as Hokage. The world needed him as Hokage. With his support, there was a chance that Hazō could finally start acting on his ambitions. A chance to change everything—forever. The alternative was Hyūga Hiashi, a Byakugan user without vision, and the cycle of hatred and war continuing until there was nothing left.

In the next entry in my continuing series of "are we the baddies?", this bit of insight into Hazou's headspace is both troubling and reflective of how he's behaved up until this point.

Potentially undermining worldwide medical efforts that probably help more people daily than Hazou has helped in his entire life? A worthwhile risk in order to increase the chance of Jiraiya maintaining power, in turn maintaining the chance for Hazou to get the ball rolling on plans to save everyone forever.
