[X] We have the highest stealth

Use dispel.

Scout a bit ahead of our team forward enough we can get close and see whats going on with our 3 point better stealth and they won't give us away but close enough we can run back if spotted ( basically don't have them sit in this spot and not move have them come a little bit forward with us but not too far into range of being spotted), check what is making all the noise stay out of sight and be cautious.

You can in fact make contingency plans by the way. They would look like this:

[ ] Charge into the clearing, wielding herrings furiously.
-[ ] If it is a of swamp beastie and you see no friendlies, do X.
-[ ] If there are Leaf ninja fighting allies, do Y.
-[ ] If the floor appears to be made out of sleeping bunny rabbits, perform manoeuvre Z.

Wouldn't it simply be easier to check out the situation then decide on a course of action so when it is "if leaf nin back off" we don't back off 1 chunnin killing 3 of our gennin.

Well yes, but I'm assuming you want an update longer than 2 paragraphs. As a side note 1 chuunin wouldn't be enough to take you guys out.

Do i just not understand the roll system? I though someone with a 2d advantage over our skills would firmly crush us? So essentially, good game if we run into someone with offensive and defensive skills of 7-8 or better?

There is only one of him and three of us, we are peak genin for combat, Hazou gets to reroll a physical roll that led to his death, and Keiko can get boosted rolls in life-or-death situations.

The roll system follows what makes sense in reality, not the other way around. 3 on 1 has significantly better odds and than 1 on 1 when the 3 have trained to work together. Put another way it is hard to counter-attack properly when pressed from 3 sides at once.

What @Jackercracks said. Mechanically, it means we would give you bonus dice on your rolls and/or give the chunin challenge dice on his.

Goddamnit.

OK I'm going to write a more detailed proposal for the people who want to actually get that XP buff for well-written plans. Better than "Dispel then run in stealthily".

This is not a plan if you vote for it you are an idiot:
--Dispel while expecting immediate counterattack
--Sprint to the disturbance for most of the distance but stop a short distance out to approach stealthily (~30s)
----Hazou's 6-Stealth and 4-Awareness means he takes point to accurately assess threats. Wakahisa takes the rear so he doesn't un-stealth us
----Discuss plan while approaching to flesh out problems
--Wakahisa summons 2 Water Clones which Henge into Shikigami and Inoue
----Goal here is a flanking maneuver: the clones reveal themselves before we do to draw fire and help assess threats while we ambush from the side/behind

@Velorien Clarification please, can Water Clones follow standard if-then statements like "If there are enemy ninjas posture and attempt to intimidate them into retreating"? Or even better if-elseif-else statements?

With 2 clones we could have Keiko-clone and Nobby-clone as point men, real Keiko and Mori as a second string sneaking 100m behind them and us flanking slightly from the side. If Keiko and Mori get made we can still do our thing, the thing we based the whole original build on, and come from the stealth with a surprise attack.

[x] dispel
-[x] while preparing to dodge
-[x] if nothing changes:
--[x] stealthily move towards the noise, being wary of traps and ambushes, find out what's going on, if source is friendly:
---[x] if able to help:
----[x] help
---[x] else:
----[x] return to base and find someone who can help/make the most of the situation/salvage anything at all from this clusterfuck/write an obituary
--[x] elif source is unfriendly:
---[x] if we can take them:
----[x] if they look like they're worth interrogating:
-----[x] stealthily cripple/otherwise incapacitate the target and drag them back to Inoue Sensei
----[x] else:
-----[x] stealthily assassinate the target
---[x] elif we can't take them:
----[x] return to base and notify the appropriate people
---[x] elif we don't know whether we can take them (chances look worse than 70% in our favour):
----[x] return to base and notify the appropriate people
--[x] elif source is neutral:
---[x] if we gain more by helping them and can do so:
----[x] help them
---[x] elif we gain more by capturing them and can do so:
----[x] capture them
---[x] elif we gain more by killing and looting them and can do so:
----[x] kill and loot them
---[x] else:
----[x] return to base and notify the appropriate people

@MadScientist Do you think we should make water clones at all? If there are enemy ninjas having water clones in a more obvious place will give us more time if nothing else.

@faflec ehh, sending in a water clone first might help, but would also cost chakra that could be used for substitution. I wouldn't discard the tactic, but I'd certainly look for a better one before committing.
