Why not 'Promising Sealing Prodigy'?
Invoking the Out has problems because we'd like to be able to tag this even when we aren't hitting SSA etc.
The old text was "Invoke when Hazo comes up with a novel seal design or use for an existing one, improves in his abilities, or comes to a breakthrough in his research."
(It isn't clear to me why we got to tag that in the exam...)
But just changing the word to 'prodigy' with the same text works and works well.
Invoking the Out has problems because we'd like to be able to tag this even when we aren't hitting SSA etc.

- Get a few folks together and host a party on the Goketsu estate.
- Run the guest list by Mari to make sure we aren't snubbing anyone unintentionally. Goal is to showcase Goketsu pride, but not snooty opulence.
- Invite the Goketsu, Kei, Snowflake, and Ami, if she's in Leaf. Additionally, invite Clan Heads that are Hazou's age, and their teammates from when they were genin. Neji, Lee, and Tenten as well. Summoner peers Ruri and Aika are welcome too. Harumitsu can come if he wants.
- In good fun (IE, with minimal arrogance), discuss with same-age peers who they think is making jonin/special-jonin next. Make some lighthearted interclan bets on the future careers of peers.
- And if any of them need to hire a jonin-grade sealmaster for something they know who to contact.
- Get a few folks together and host a party on the Goketsu estate.
- Seal research once healed:
- Prime does next Minato seals. Follow Hazou's intuition.
- Shadow clone does Directional explosives. Follow Hazou's intuition.

I always understood that to mean "they figure out stuff about us from context, like Jiraiya being good at sealing but getting cocky about it, or Maito Gai being obsessed with Youth to the point he depends on it," not "they get to read the name and description and infer things from that"
It would get very meta and a bit unsimulationey, if you ask me. Except you don't ask me, but I still volunteered that opinion.

I think we should specify if Prime is doing this, and I don't think we should follow the SOP. That means taking 5 days of prep. I think we should reroll a -6 Callig/Sealing and use no prep and no SSA.
How do you feel about multithreading Directional Explosives at the same time we're finishing the next Minato seal?

If Prime is doing it, would Hazou have time for the party? Or do you mean to start it after the party?
If anyone voting for me doesn't have strong objections to DE I'm fine with it. Should be a quick project and Hazou-grade Rocket Boots sooner than later would be nice.

The fifth jinchūriki seal is objectively the harder one, but given his superior veterancy in the jinchūriki chain, Hazō thinks that they're around the same difficulty for him.
The construct senses changes in environmental chakra -- like with other chain seals Hazō has seen so far, it clearly is a partial step towards the chakrascope-like later seals.
The Hyūga have the reputation, by far. Whether or not they actually are the richest, HDK.
To clarify, this is because Hazō used SSA for an extended period of time (>1 hour). Using it for a couple of minutes for a single question would have been fine, but the test comprised of many, many questions. Likewise, a single seal infusion doesn't cause an SSA-headache, but channeling it for a full day during sealing research absolutely does cause a headache.
The challenge was below level-appropriate, and there wouldn't have been severe reputational consequences for losing given his youth.
The plan specified to do the check after sealing research was completed. No project was completed in 595. You'll need to vote in the check at some other point.
Walling up settlements and building roads are two separate initiatives. As walling up settlements is the Ministry's primary mission, it's safe to assume that's been continuing at speed (constrained either by money, amount of Earth Element ninja, or people's willingness to do till-n-fills).
What is a "level-appropriate" challenge? It's a jounin exam, Hazou's 16. Lmao

Given that the highest TN was 60 against Hazō's 74 Sealing, he could not fail even if the dice gave him straight -12s. So that could be a start. The fact that he could afford to sandbag is a good indicator that it wasn't very hard for him.
I figured we'd party before the SSA Consequence was gone. Plus nothing says we can't seal research for the workday and go out afterwards.
I thought there was a chance he could fail for the first rolls. Since the TN was 45 and he wasn't using SSA for them. He only got 3 chances so a -6 would have meant he failed.
