If Akane hits in combat (i.e. if her Taijutsu beats the opponent's combat skill) then she gets to roll Strength d100 (capped at skill level) and add 1/2 of the result to her taijutsu roll before determining success level.

If Akane is hit in combat (i.e. if her opponent's combat skill beats her Taijutsu) then she gets to roll Stamina d100 (capped at skill level) and subtract 1/2 of the result from her opponent's roll before determining success level. If she reduces it to 0 she takes no damage, although her henge and/or protective pangolin jutsu will still be disrupted.
Ok, this is useful. 1/2 of the Stamina roll means on average the impact of a losing combat roll is decreased by 150, and 1/2 of the Strength roll means on average the impact of a winning combat roll is magnified by 150. Pretty nice to compensate for botched rolls and fighting against enemies at our skill level.

Teeth of the Trickster God
Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough

Sigh...I suppose Hazou and Akane are now both officially CHUUNIn enough for the ninja world.

The style won't really help Akane to punch above her weight class but it will help her survive it. Meaning we need to level Taijutsu heavily if we want offense from her that way. I'm leaning more and more towards getting her an actual fire jutsu.

Re: macerator, for cruel and unusual option, instead of glass, how bout using obsidian? A chunk of rock goes in, shards sharper than modern scalpels come out.

Also our writers are truly on a roll today. Today is a good day.

Random thought that other people have probably had but I wanna make it explicit in the thread: the letters Jiraiya gets from his readers serve as a component of his informational network and also as a way to become aware of people he could recruit as informants

We should perhaps use this as a model for ourselves.
