Ok, this is useful. 1/2 of the Stamina roll means on average the impact of a losing combat roll is decreased by 150, and 1/2 of the Strength roll means on average the impact of a winning combat roll is magnified by 150. Pretty nice to compensate for botched rolls and fighting against enemies at our skill level. If Akane hits in combat (i.e. if her Taijutsu beats the opponent's combat skill) then she gets to roll Strength d100 (capped at skill level) and add 1/2 of the result to her taijutsu roll before determining success level.
If Akane is hit in combat (i.e. if her opponent's combat skill beats her Taijutsu) then she gets to roll Stamina d100 (capped at skill level) and subtract 1/2 of the result from her opponent's roll before determining success level. If she reduces it to 0 she takes no damage, although her henge and/or protective pangolin jutsu will still be disrupted.
Nah, you're crazy. Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough is the perfect name.Maybe we could just call it Youthful Fist for short?
We don't need to go through the whole thing every time.
This is what comes of introducing someone to high-level martial arts with the Righteous Face Punching Style. That's, uh. Quite the mouthful of a style. "Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough" is quite the mouthful, and the acronym "YFotMBTiRSaT" is a pain to try to remember.
Let's just hope that it happens under Jiraiya's protection. As quirky as Gai and his team might be, I doubt he'll take any more kindly to traitors or missing nin than any other nin.I can't wait until we meet Team Gai.
This is going to be amazing.
[X] Meanie.
I wonder what would happen if we all were simultaneously struck with the stupid and voted that in.
*desperately googles a mythological beast that is really strong and tough*
Based on the last time that a vote was unanimously insulting Eaglejarl?I wonder what would happen if we all were simultaneously struck with the stupid and voted that in.
e: Ah, that's not intended to be an insult or anything, just to be clear!
Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough
My dude, Behemoth, no?*desperately googles a mythological beast that is really strong and tough*
Ooh! Good idea!Re: macerator, for cruel and unusual option, instead of glass, how bout using obsidian? A chunk of rock goes in, shards sharper than modern scalpels come out.
Also our writers are truly on a roll today. Today is a good day.
Actually, does Hercules count as a mythical creature?
We should perhaps use this as a model for ourselves.Random thought that other people have probably had but I wanna make it explicit in the thread: the letters Jiraiya gets from his readers serve as a component of his informational network and also as a way to become aware of people he could recruit as informants
