probably, i take issue whit this in pacticular:I don't think (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) that @Dictator4Hire's point was necessarily counter to yours, it's just a matter of timescales
However, we also need to emphasize that we will never give up on them reconciling with one another because one day we will find a way for both of them to come to the conclusion that they want and can truly become a family
... On second thought, maybe we should ask around for a second opinion, just to be sure
We do however have experience asking Keiko for help convincing herself accounting for the maluses *from* her being the source of itKagome is the second, thrid and fourth opinion.
Noburi was already invovled.
Akane knows what's going on.
Ami is Ami.
And Hana would gladly get Mari murdered.
The only one left I trust is Cannai and we can't summon him for cuddles.
Major lore on The Five."You imbecile!" Keiko's hands slammed against the table between them, knocking over cups of half-drunk tea. "Do you not understand!? A monster is sealed because it is too powerful to slay! Too powerful to be defeated! Every seal is a recognition of surrender by the human race, a delaying action fought against inevitable extinction! Do you not imagine we would have destroyed them if we could, a thousand times over? Even the Sage—"
Probably also lore on the Five. Gross."By the way," he said, "you should probably know that, partly as a consequence of that whole seal thing, I am now in a four-way relationship."
Keiko's smile disappeared.
"Hazō, you are not the first to attempt to romance unspeakable eldritch horrors that have taken up residence in their brain. It never ends well. If you find them demanding you prove your love, say by attempting to free their fellows, I urge you—"
"Oh, don't get me wrong—I think you've done great things for Leaf and I believe that you plan to do more great things...if you stick around, and if you don't get executed, and if you don't utterly destroy your relationships with the other clans because they don't view the world the way you do and you aren't willing to consider that your views aren't necessarily correct and their views might also have value. Your adoption tickets idea was brilliant and it's going to make a big difference over time. You got Ebisu to talk me into reviewing the training the clanless get, and you were both right: Many clanless are able to keep up with the clans if given the right resources and support. We're working on improving the curriculum and providing tutors. I'm already seeing results.
are you on mobile or desktop?@Shrooms Update on Ebisu's clanless training project. Apologies if this is already accounted for; I am unable to find your ongoing projects post as the link is broken for me.Major lore on The Five.

Mobile, but I've had no problem accessing it from this device previously.
Huh, it broke for me too. Weird because I looked at it just fine a week or two ago. Let me try updating my signature againMobile, but I've had no problem accessing it from this device previously.
Yeah it's fixed.Huh, it broke for me too. Weird because I looked at it just fine a week or two ago. Let me try updating my signature again
EDIT: Should be fixed. Idk what changed
STEP 1: "Hey Tsunade, would you like multiplicatively more Medics?"Assuming ACE works for Noburi and we survive 3 more months, so he gets 2 internal CP -- what's our strategy for getting Asuma to let us teach him SC? Or are we just gonna treason it up in the Seventh Path?
Might want to get his med stats out of the 10s for that then...STEP 1: "Hey Tsunade, would you like multiplicatively more Medics?"
STEP 2: Profit
He should have that by the time ACE would pay off, right?Might want to get his med stats out of the 10s for that then...
At 19/19, he would need 550 XP to get to 30/30. He has 122 XP right now. He has 3 months until ACE, at an average of 4 XP per day (lets say), that's 360 XP for 480 total. So no, even assuming his pyramids weren't going to be hellishly complicated to rebalance.
I suppose he could just wait a few more months after getting 2CP to get his medical abilities up to snuff and then talk to Tsunade about it? 30/30 might still be considered trash idkAt 19/19, he would need 550 XP to get to 30/30. Honestly, I don't think it's respectful of Kei to keep beating this dead horse. Kei has stated her choices regarding her relationship with Mari and we should respect them. IMO This isn't something Hazou should be fixing.Hm. Maybe, maybe not. We know that the Second Isan Arc forced Kei to confront her nihilism and depression. We know that Kei is undergoing a sort of proto-therapy with Akane to be "guided back into the light." If we could get Akane in the same room as Kei and Hazou when the conversation happens, maybe Akane can help?
Treasoning it up is the easiest option so I'm for itAssuming ACE works for Noburi and we survive 3 more months, so he gets 2 internal CP -- what's our strategy for getting Asuma to let us teach him SC? Or are we just gonna treason it up in the Seventh Path?
Kei's perspective is definitely not 100% rational, did you notice her bitterness at being sacrificed for the well-being of a preferred sibling? That's a lot of resentment being aimed at Hazo for being more valuable, and it brings to mind parallels between Kei's relationship with Ami and how the clan treated the two of them.I definitely think Mari was faced with an impossible situation and somehow finagled it and deserves major props for that, but I feel like the thread/discord is being excessively harsh on Kei. In her shoes I would probably be pissed too, tbh. Is her perspective 100% rational? No, but people seldom are and frankly I think she took it better than most would. From her point of view, even if it was the 'logical' decision, that resentment was already there and you just can't help but wonder what Mari's real motivation was. I think she has the right to be upset, personally, although I do hope they work through it one day since, from my perspective if not hers, I don't think the decision was made with malice, and it surely weighs heavily on Mari.
Wouldn't worry about that too much. This isn't a case of Keiko being actually upset with the actions themselves. This is a case of her being really irrational and petty, knowing that, and not caring, because it's Mari. We haven't earned her ire that much.Didn't expect Kei to drop Mari so easily. We should make plans to prevent her dropping Hazou for his future actions, and contingencies for if it happens anyway.
