Obviously, S-rankers shouldn't even be a level we should think about taking on, even a high end chunin could beat us right now let alone a ninja strong enough to be comparable to the Sannin or Hiruzen. I'm all for improving our seals and making them stronger but you're crazy if you think that'll be enough.
Jiraiya can use our seals.

e: Also, notice I mentioned sniper rifle-level macerators. That wasn't a mistake. They can't target what they can't see.

That....really doesn't pertain to the situation at all unless you're assuming Jiraiya will just always be there when Hazo faces off against a high end opponent.
I think the idea is that if there's an S-ranker we want to kill, we don't have to be the one doing it ourselves. We just need to kit out the guy who is doing it until they can't lose. Which, well, it's not like we're missing-nin forced to stay away from safe harbor anymore. If an S-ranker can target us while we're in Konoha we've got bigger problems.

Also that even if we have to kill an S-ranker ourselves, we have no need to engage them to do so.

Speaking of seals, I actually had an idea for one and I wanted some feedback on it. You remember how Kagome has a special seal that sends out explosions in a specific direction? And how some seals like the skywalker can be used multiple times? It would have the same properties like those.

What if we made a directional reusable/multiuse "explosive" tag that doesn't actually detonate itself. The idea came from thinking about Kagome's box rings he uses for his explosive punch style.

Basically the idea is the seal shoots out a directional explosive pulse in a ideally a cone away from the user. We could use this with special gaunlets and boots to have explosive punches and kicks. The idea is you slot it in to to the knuckles/bottom of the foot, you prime it as you punch/kick at an enemy, and it shoots out a pulse on impact doing a ton of damage. For the boot I'm thinking a thick piece of leather that has the seal gouged in and filled with ink to prime, than slots indeep enough to touch our bare feet so that we can flow chakra to it. Same thing with the gaunlets, though the detachable bit with the seal etched in would be the knuckle guard

I'm not sure this would work, largely because while making seals with materials other than paper is possible, (I don't think) Kagome or Jiraiya know any seals in that lexicon.

Also I believe the reason explosive seals are destroyed on use is because the point of origin is on the paper, meaning to get a boom the paper goes squish. Directional seals still have this problem, meaning if we were to make these totally-not-rocketboots we would first need to make explosive tags that generate an explosion at coordinates separate from the tag. That by itself would completely change the setting, as you could just arm people only trained to the point of sensing chakra with ranged explosive tags (Rats from now on), and taijutsu as a discipline becomes practically meaningless.

Edit: oops just realized explosive doesn't start with A. Maybe I should chill with the overtime...

[X]Hazo makes a civ quest, but gets annoyed as the rest of the cast are too hung up on his "internet" idea despite it just being the set up for his brilliant online text based "questing" game idea: the plan

*eyes glaze over build debates*

I disagree that Taijutsu should totally be ignored in the long term. One can get it to like 50-60 range and let our insane buffs take care of the rest.

We can create more buffs with Sealing equipment. Win.

Personally I'm a fan of raising sealing and socials to 30 as our xp plan after getting shadow clones
Socials at 30 is an interesting idea. It looks, at a glance, like it'd play havoc with our skill pyramid and make it, say, hard to get PEA up to 30 without raising other things to 20, but it's not out of the question.

The current plan involves the Empathy drip we'll set up (come to think of it, the tourney's over so this might be a good time to start that) raising Empathy to 20, but if we raise some other things like, I dunno, Substitution or Living Roots to 20 then we have a lot more leeway in what we raise to 30.

Maybe I'll do a big effortpost today with an in-depth analysis on skills on "How 2 Git Gud."

I think the most important thing to git-good is to figure out ways to break Action economy. The ability to sustain more buffs or stack more debuffs on an enemy is paramount to punching above your weight class. With Shadow clones and summoning we have the start of a path to breaking the system. The problem with these are they take an action to cast. So when fighting against an S-ranker the goal becomes finding away to survive there initial attack. To solve this we need to look at @MadScientist idea for action really seals. By developing a seal that can proc other seals in response to a chakra pulse we have the ability to release a devastating counter attack as a supplemental action. We can have multiple airdomes cover us at the same time that flash bangs, earbusters, and pangolin peppers macerators all debuff our opponents.

We already have two seals that open up this tech tree for us. Casino seals are able to take an input and produce an output at a distance. LBF gives us the ability to research seals that interact with other seals. Combine the two to develop ARS plus the chaos suit and we have a devestating seal tech weapon

My first reaction to 'Let's break the action economy wide open' was 'If the QMs see their system getting broken easily, they'll fix it'. My second reaction was that you were talking about Shadow Clone and Summoning and I withdrew my first reaction.

I think it's tentatively viable to use Casino chakra-sensing and LBF seal-activation to create a seal setup that creates a defensive barrier/debuff attack as a Reaction. If we get that off, then we can spend a turn setting up either PEA or go directly into Shadow Clone or Summoning, depending on the situation.

The simplest way to break the action economy is already in line with "level Chakra high for clones".

Get a summoning scroll.

I don't see why our SCs would be shit? Assuming they have the same skills as us, not enough chakra to repeatedly boost, and their equipment works (except seals because I don't want to take chances with clones of seals), then they're still working with gauntlets and roki and can probably still PH for a single round.

Our earth clones are shit. Shadow Clones:

They're pretty chakra expensive, and if they die the mental trauma of dying gets sent back to Hazou.

This could be a very costly mistake.
