90 skytowers = 2*90 5SB seals
so 200 seals total

During the construction, we alternate between two seals - a lower construction platform + the level being constructed. Once that is done, we recycle the lower one to rise another stage.

Oh, and the wooden frames and ninja wire might be part of the deal as well, I'm not sure. The 'extra 20 seals' indicates otherwise, but we can't rely on that without word of GM.
The deal is 110 Skytowers/Pantokrator's Judging Eyes/5SB for goldstuff. The need for additional 5SB for construction is irrelevant to the deal.

Is this for the 5SB idea to protect our facility? I find it questionable as to whether or not that would actually work. And would it dry in time? Does a 5SB even work on liquids?

Might want to test it in the Seventh Path before we actually try to implement it. It'd be a waste of time otherwise.
The QMs previously confirmed that it would work, long ago in the before-time, before they realized how terrible an idea it was to answer questions without requiring us to experiment.

The illusive paint reference.

Paint (sections of) the walls (if one contiguous layer of paint is too much volume). 5SB the paint layer.

Agree with testing before hand though.

Would almost certainly work if the paint was applied to a large roll of burlap cloth.

Well, we're about to have a lot of time where about the most interesting thing we can do is literally watch paint dry (aka post Rampage or post Rampage the Revenge), so this is probably a self-solving solution; just make a bunch of our 5SBs then!

I would argue that tomorrow in-game we'd be best served replenishing our depleted stockpile of explosives/Goo Bombs/Banshees/etc.. After the Event, though...

We actually probably need to do that during the rest day regardless since we might not have enough 5SB to cover enough of the building in Round 2.

Edit: Also we need to get various ingredients for unspecified mischief as well as interact with a few choice chunin candidates that would potentially be willing to shoot themselves for us in Round 2 after some lengthy negotiations and promises.

We need 110 5SB.
"So," Keiko said carefully, "the upfront payment will be three pounds of diamonds, the full-time availability of Pankurashun and five elite pangolin of my choice, plus the training jutsu for each member of Gōketsu and five other jutsu of our choice. After that, we agree to a monthly payment of sixty pounds of gold in exchange for ninety of the Pantokrator's Judging Eyes." She paused, considering, then nodded. "My clan leader will probably be angry with me for doing such a poor job of bargaining but I suspect he'll accept the deal rather than shaming me by forcing me to go back on my word with such an important ally as the Pangolin Clan."
Keiko went to the 7th Path and did a quick deal. Next month you owe the pangolins an extra 20 seals but they are giving you half the payment now. Keiko got a pound of gold (all they were able to put their claws on immediately) and more will become available over the next couple days.

"Each Eye is a set of five seals," Kei pointed out.

@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail Is it a total of 110, 5*90+20, 5*110, or 2*5*90+20 seal creation actions?

As long as its at most~500 5SB in total then its doable over the course of those 3 days, and we need not concern ourselves with it until Post Event 5.

Basically this. Hazou and Kagome managed to get the first shipment of 90 Eyes in...what, a single night? Hazou himself should be able to draw enough seal blanks to fill the order, and Jiraiya can infuse them in the Seventh Path at some point.

Other side note: KAGOME'S BIRTHDAY

Thats in December?

Do we get him something or do we make him something?

Edit: Ooooooh good point about the Pangolins likely being experts at underground defense

I just want to avoid going back on our part of the deal - to team Uplift, a skytower is more than a 5SB set, it includes the structure.
"I've still got a skytower in my scroll, and I'm carrying a half dozen sets of 5SB seals," Hazō said. "You guys?"
"Still got my skytower structure," Noburi said. "Three sets of seals. Keiko?"
@faflec You're probably right in that the second 5SB set for construction isn't considered part of a skytower as it's reusable for other towers, so let's forget the 2* factor.
But do the 5 component seals of a 5SB count as one unit of time/effort or five? Do we have to produce 90 structures? That might be ambiguous.

Sorry for being paranoid, but better to get confirmation on the number than risking failiure.

And last time, we had leftover 5SB sets and didn't have to create all 90 from scratch during that one all-nighter...

I'd love to do that, but we don't have the force of a rampage behind us; we won't know when we're getting attacked ahead of time.
I agree, it's not terribly applicable to our currently highly offensive situation. It's definitely something we should keep in mind for the future though. Any time when we can lure enemies into a particular area it could be a nice ambush tactic.

Are any of Keiko's summons particularly good at trapmaking? Could she make a brief contract with one over the next day, to prepare for the final round?

We have a Pangolin engineer. I do not believe that an engineer in a military society would not have good trapmaking skills.
We should slip him a sketch of the facility and general terrain description so he can brainstorm during the rest day(read: Aspect bonus for prepared defenses)

It's 5 x 110, if I understand what you're talking about correctly.

Ninety Five-Seal Barriers per month is the initial deal. This month we owe them twenty more because they paid us half the payment for the previous month upfront. Each Five-Seal Barrier consists of five seals. That means five hundred and fifty seal-making actions.
