I'd rather wait for Marco and his copy of the scissors before opening the new action sink that other dimensions will surely prove to be.

We don't know when we're going to get Marco or if we will even be able to recruit him though. And the result will just be creating an other-dimension-inator not unlocking another tech tree according to the action listing. Plus I don't think it's safe to rely on only one way of getting in and out of other dimensions; that's a good way to get trapped somewhere.

Food for thought:
[ ] Upgrade PMC with Energy Weapons (Lizzy)
DC 65 (Reduced by XP)
57+20+26+2=105
Decent Success

Lizzy typically prefers to work with live weapons, but she made the switch to laser ones easily enough. Though her speaking skills left a lot to be desired, she managed to equip all the many divisions of your PMC with energy weapons and direct them through just enough training that they can use the things effectively. Your PMC has grown in effectiveness slightly, and now grants an extra -1 malus to attacks made on your home turf!
Heroes affect rewards, and Lizzy is bad with people. Another hero unit, like Hego, may have been able to squeeze more out of this action at the same level of success.

Now, as much as I love Hego, I don't want to assign him to all of our people-based Martial upgrades, because while the anti-crime dino mounties are both fun and useful I don't want all of our Martial assets to be exclusively focused on crime. Not when inter-dimensional invasion is a concern.

So I'm not sure I really regret sticking Lizzy here over Hego, but we should keep things like this in mind in the future. Especially as we expand our hero pool to the point where every turn isn't a desperate game of hero unit Tetris to avoid failures.

The point of it is to potentially lower the DC of the other-dimension-inator. It is fairly likely that we'll be able to recruit Marco. We do have Janna and the Devil Girl was seen in 'Doofania' a year or so ago.

Besides, I'd rather build up our martial capabilities before we potentially have to deal with extra-dimensional threats. Learning options like zero-point energy, sublight drives, cloaking, better dinosaurs, ect.

I'd rather wait for Marco and his copy of the scissors before opening the new action sink that other dimensions will surely prove to be.

Assuming Marco'll be receptive to recruitment or allow us access to the scissors he spent years to get. Besides nabbing scissors from Toffee will be fun! It'd be even more fun if Shego and Xany colab with us! Some good ol supervillainy

Meanwhile Toffee is about to join Xanatos in the paranoia club.
Toffee : He refuses my corn offer only to give me a subtle threat a few months later with his humanoid coffee machines and new reptile meat market.
Getting the consumer base preemptively used to our eternally harvestable source of meat. Get used to immortality, son. Its going to be a wild ride!

Brilliant.

Here is a potential scheme against Toffee.

1) Somehow damage and/or delay Toffee's ability to meet his deliveries on time. This could take the form of damaging key interchanges/freeways/truck stops (a high risk high reward option especially if anyone is injured) that lead out of his territory, or from more surgical attacks against his warehouses or trucks. (much safer)

2) In the short run he would have to decide between facing the consequences of failing to meet his deliveries (income and reputation loss among businesses), or using more magic/scissors on earth to compensate (potentially lowering the DC to steal them).

Hmm...well, I do understand that we have enough on our plate at the moment that we should be careful about collecting more enemies. Oh well, I suppose Bellweather can wait as long as she doesn't do anything that we'll need to obviously respond to.

Although speaking of reaching out to the other kings, maybe we should try Shere Khan? He's interested in fusion power, we're good at science, if we combine our strengths we might be able to forge an alliance with a reliable king and solve our energy problems at the same time. It's been hearws since I've watched Talespin, but from what I recall that Khan was very willing to stick to any bargains he made.

And for a plan against doom:

[+] sabotage his batches of concrete and cement with bags of sugar to make them unusable.

Edit: keyword being unusable, heaven forbid he uses anything less tampered into something people will use

I'd be down. Maybe put Technor on it while Goofy does something about campaigning for Flubber...

As I said earlier:

The "Cazador" is also a mercenary trying to find Star. At this point, there is a very small list of people who A) have the resources to find Star or B) are trustworthy enough.

As a "King" we certainly have the resources, it will just take us a fair amount of time. We have also proven to Janna that we are trustworthy, which is something which will go a long ways towards convincing Marco.

It will (likely) take a while to convince Shego about Toffee. Knowledge of the Occult only goes so far in explaining a Lizard is on a war of conquest over the multiverse and we need to steal a pair of scissors that our group of dimwitted ninjas managed to deduce the presence of. Xanatos would likely be more willing to collaborate, I would be very surprised if he wasn't at least peripherally aware of the Phobos/Toffee war. He would have a better Intrigue score, but the success would depend on if Xanatos saw it as worth it to steal the scissors. We also don't know how exactly the collaborate actions work and I am not sure that this would be a prime time to test it out.

Ugh...God, we need some new Intrigue actions. Because, looking at our current spread, i'm seriously considering looking into OREGON (Probably Kitsune's job).

Also, who's in favor of having Von Drake build us a suit of power armor? I want to see what sublight drive+exotic vehicles does, and other units can handle those better then she will, so, might as well use her applied sciences skill. Plus, if her trait activates, the two other actions she could do are laser cannons and normbots...Both of which would ALSO activate her trait, and which we want done anyway.

I'd be happy to have Von Drake build us a suit of armor. Though if we are attacked at the Auction, Xanatos might reveal his suit of armor, which could lower the DC.

And lowering the DC could lead to !!FUN!! things.

Or everyone else on the planet would make it very clear to the aliens we antagonized that they are not with us and we'd be crushed faster than if Hopper the grasshopper started a war with Lizzy. If it was any other king starting an interstellar war, would you prefer binding ourselves closer to the idiot who bit off a galaxy more than they could chew or appealing to the interstellar party in the interstellar war?
Oh sure, if they could do that, they would. However, I intend for us to be the only ones with spaceships in the unlikely event we actually start an interstellar war on purpose.

Who would be better with Exotic Vehicles than Ludivine, assuming Dr. Jookiba is on Sublight Drives?

If things get nasty during the auction, we definitely are jumping to David´s aid to show him our willingness to work together closer.

I see. +20 to genetics and vehicles, nice. Means that we can get him and Jookiba both working on dinosaurs on the same turn.
Maybe the turn after next. For now, I really want to see what the reward is for doing sublight and exotic in combination. In fact, another part of my plan is to buy out Wyndcomm next turn, just in case we get a spaceship. I don't want to start exploring beyond the solar system yet, but it'd be nice to have the tech in place.

Janus' trait only applies to learning actions; he doesn't get a +20 to vehicle martial actions or the like, unfortunately.
Thankfully, my plan puts him on exotic vehicles, along with Jumbaa on sublight drives. I want to see what's behind those question marks.

As an update to the list of things people have possibly seen in Rival Reports...

2015 Jan/Feb: Buy out a rival corporation: ACME; Research Greevil Tech; Hire Genghis Khan?
2015 Mar/Apr: Solve the Food Situation; Develop a New OS
2015 May/Jun: Declare Your Territory Toon-Friendly; Buy Disney
2015 Jul/Aug: Combat organized crime in Doofania
2015 Sep/Oct: Combat organized crime in Doofania; Buy out Mendel-Grumman Corporation
2015 Nov/Dec: Combat organized crime in Doofania; Research Greevil Power Solutions; Research Flubber; Attempt a hostile takeover of Insuricare
[DOOF spotted at Sands Gala with a lovely companion (Shego?) - talks to Toffee, Xanatos, Winston Deavor, Trevor Trengrove, Janus Lee, Liv Amara]
2016 Jan/Feb: Combat organized crime in Doofania; Poach people from Kronos; Develop a flying car
2016 Mar/Apr: Form a Think Tank
2016 May/Jun: Research Dino Domestication
2016 Jul/Aug: Dinosaur Cavalry; Campaign Against the SRA; Rebrand Insuricare's anti-Super Policies; Develop a new Social Media Platform; Buy Lee Industries
2016 Sep/Oct: Dinosaur Farming; Release Revolutionary Coffee Machine

Based on the timing, it looks like Shere Khan's ventures into fusion might have been sparked by a fear of DEI getting there first (Khan began research in Jan/Feb of 2016, immediately after we'd worked on Greevil Power Solutions and Flubber). In that context, the fossil fuel magnate trying to develop a revolutionary power source makes sense - he's concerned that if we get there first without him moving into other areas, his entire power base will crumble.

We can see why Judge Doom has been after us - one of our first actions was to buy out ACME, and only a couple of turns later, we declared our area Toon Friendly. In that sense, he probably thinks we made the first move against him. It is very possible that he didn't think our support of Toons was genuine, but was something we're using to wear away at his PR after looking into ACME's records and finding things that might implicate him in the murder of a former ACME Chairman. The timing also explains why he decided to attack us for only caring about Toons, bringing up Supers as something we didn't care about - he could see we bought Insuricare.

Are there other actions from our rival Kings that are explained by what people see from us? Anyone clearly reacting?

Where would the Sands Gala fit in?
