Yes, but no.

Even assuming 1:1 power equivalence to the JCA Rat, we would need a man-sized Buzz Lightyear toy (see giant Gnomekop vs normal action figure Gnomekop).

In the other hand, it seemed to create a picture perfect clone of the Chinese man who sealed Shendu in the first place when used on his statue. Dizzo Quetzocoatl.

the material and size are what matters most.
Thr rat talisman mimics everything else .

so if we create a Doof the size of a building made of steel he is for all intents and purposes Doof but as durable as steel and giant.

however I don't think it's going to translate over into this as it's very easily gameable

Wonder if shedu's statue self will be sold at the auction. Also the mention of the chan dynasty when Jackie chan adventures was set in the modern era feels like some kind of time paradox maybe from that book of time relic from the demon world episodes so maybe investigating Doctor zone either this turn or next turn might be a good idea

Jacky chan adventures isn't canon to DVV this is just a very heavy handed reference to the show

A couple thousand is less than pocket change. It's what we handed Janna on the company debit card we issued her.

And since Technor does want Janna to take time off for herself, and Max needs a break too, plus our cute Visigoth Pumpkin always deserves pampering, why not let the Doof troop enjoy New York?

I mean, that's what I was saying. If the auction is good, Max can enjoy fine food and stuff. If not (or even if it is), make sure we book a five star hotel and given them a couple thousand each to go have fun. (Really I'd love a quest update consisting of nothing but "Doof Troop has fun on the town.")

Kranz Martial Check: 23+26=49
Khan Martial Contest: 17+55+8+10 (Duck Rage)+7+5=102
Critical Success
When you roll less raw dice than the enemy and STILL get a critical success. Kranz's luck has really run out.
Quest: You Made Me Love Xanadu completed!
A gargoyle beast has decided to follow you home! He may be assigned to a hero on a quest for a bonus to Martial, but only if the quest takes place at night!
Ancient Mongolian documents have been recovered! You might want to let someone take a look at these!
Ancient Mongolian relics recovered! Temujin feels more at home now that he's recovered some treasure from his homeland.
Jī Talisman of the Shengxiao Set recovered! This talisman grants its wielder flight and telekinesis!
Max's preferences have been revealed! Max Goof wants a quiet life and greatly dislikes going on quests to the far reaches of the Earth! Can you blame him?
Guess we know what learning actions we're doing next turn (unless those documents are a personal action).

I wonder if we can rig up some remote system where max can advise Janna over the internet, so he can still help out on quests without being dragged into the wasteland.

With an overwhelming "WAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!" of rage, Max pulls the talisman out of Kranz's fingers, winds up, and sends the toon slamming through four walls, two trees, and the top of a mountain. Through the holes, you can see the distant form of Kranz rapidly disappear into the night sky until it is nothing but another twinkling star.
You know, it's annoying that Kranz kept out rolling us, but I think it was worth it just for this.

Would Max as "The Kid In The Chair With An Internet Connection" allow Doof Troop to kick in?

Huh. We have six different assignable things for quests, right? The potion, the car, the staff, the wings, the amulet, and the gargoyles beast. Four out of six grant flight. Neat.

[X] Khaldun

Okay, so in regards to Max; I propose we do a Talk with the Bossman, take him on the auction trip, and then after that we put Technor to work on him to help him deal with some of his crap. Also, we now know that he can access Tooned-in in special circumstances; so Russ may be able to teach him how to do it at-will.

That´s a good idea.

Even if Max doesn´t want to deal with Toony shenanigans, accessing *Tooned In* at will will allow him to avoid them better and get his desired "normal life" (although I still think that his fixation on "being normal" isn´t really healthy atm)

Ehh, putting Technor on him shouldn't be needed. Max likes things like SPLIT/SECOND. Putting Max on that would be more useful action economy-wise.

Comedic control would honestly help Max more than just about anything else we could do.

Edit: Not to mention it puts back Technor building a giant robot. Which, again, is a giant robot.

we don't want her to have it as Doof will not allow her to be in a situation to use it.

Doof himself should have it during the auction and we can pass it around as needed defaulting to Doof to give him a measure of self defense ability
I disagree on the Vanessa front. Telekinesis and Flight are abilities that lend themselves very well to uses outside of combat, and are ridiculously handy to have. Just the abilities of "ferrying random heavy thing from point A to point B", or "lifting heavy thing to help with construction" should give a nice effective bonus to Stewardship.

Edit: then again, somebody pointed out the talisman is actually Temujin's, so. Maybe he'll lend it to us occasionally?

Yes, and having Technor identify the issue and point Max at someone who can theoretically help him with it is something that needs to be done in-character. We the questors know that he has a potential solution. The characters don't.

he has to be on quest but yes.

They are more valuable in a fight .

I have a feeling we'll be able to equip it as we wish.

I mean Khan already called dibs on other stuff and didn't call out the talisman

It isn't that much of a leap in logic for Doof. He knows that Russ can avoid comedy and we knows that Max doesn't like Toonforce shenanigans. If we don't know the latter it should come out in Chat with Bossman. There isn't even any proof that Technor knows about how Russ can avoid comedy.

Besides, a better LOVEMUFFIN is needed quicker than a Max fine with his Tooniness. Also, robot for a potential quest to the Tempest Domain.
