I've mentioned this before, but I'd like to send Russ and Max on the quest. Mechanically, this improves intrigue and diplo, which are important, and gives a chance to increase Russ' loyalty, since quests with Doof on them are on of the best ways to do it, but I think the real benefit is the narrative.

Russ is better at diplomacy, but only thanks to Tooned In, so if he's adding it to rolls, we'll likely see that in action - and so will Max. Even if it's rather unlikely to lead to a trait directly, it's a chance to see the Toonforce used for something other than making him a joke, and in some place other than combat. I'd like for Max to learn that kind of thing for himself, as it seems likely to help his problems with being the butt of a joke, but that's something he has to decide for himself. I figure if he's along, as the Toon that triggers tooned in, he's likely to get a front row seat, so he's perfectly situated to decide for himself if this is something he'd be interested in learning. And if not, we shrug, accept his decision, and make sure not to send him on adventurous quests.

Finally giving my two Cents to the Update...

Well, that was...um...a thing. I did NOT expect friggin' KRANZ of all People to do so well against GENGHIS MOTHERF*CKING KHAN!!!
...Then again, come to think of it, this DOES fit in well with his Character and his Appearances. Usually, he at first one-ups Arizona Goof (Fun Fact: In German, he actually IS called 'Indiana Goof', just to make the Reference as obvious as possible) in their Duels through a mixture of cheating and Ambushes, only to then lose hilariously and spectacularly one way or another.
I always loved these two Characters. Their Indiana Jones VS Belloq-Dynamic was always entertaining in the Comics.

The auction is going to take place during the day.
By the way, how does the "at night" requirement interface with quests that could conceivably be undertaken at flexible times? For instance, when we went to Doofania to explore Castle Doofhawk, there was no reason why in theory we couldn't have sought to enter the castle at night, but in practice there was no reason for us to choose to do so. Could we, if we'd had the beast then, traveled to Doofania with the gargoyle beast in a crate, and then explored the castle at night after it "unthawed," so to speak?

[X] Amur

I like the meaning of Kaldun more, but Amur just rolls off the tongue far better.

As for Max, yeah, I think that as long as we keep him on city quests he might be more agreeable. To prevent losing him just in case, we could start looking into what happened to land PJ in jail a bit if we got time. It's on our to-do list and if we're working on it then that's incentive to stick around. That, or stick Technor and/or Talk with the Bossman on Max next turn. Gotta bond with our No. 1 Janitor's son and all.

I think, in order to know how/why PJ of all people got sent to prison we need to either Bossman Max and hope it comes up or look into where exactly Pete buggered off to (since some have voiced the idea, that Pete essentially used his son as scapegoat for one of his zany schemes blowing up into their face).

But in general I´d like to do both Boosman and Technor for Max to address his frustrations and issues properly.

I think we just need to give max a turn or 2 to relax and not be attacked by magic, traps, or trips to the mountains or jungles. Let him be the "normal" kids he want to be for a while. Then dump him on a trip with aliens or spend time with phineas and ferb

Reading the Xanadu's Quest titles from beginning to end it said across the border, out of the blue, Mr Blue Sky, Turn to Stone. Is this referencing something?

Well. We know what Max's issue is. We know that Max can access Tooned In. We know Russ can access Tooned In. Russ is (relatively) Normal and a secret agent.

I wonder if Russ has heard of Chauncey Chips, or if Max knows about his...distant relative? Please tell me someone is familiar with this so I don't have to end up watching the Disney Junior version of Wacky Races for research to see if that even makes sense. Perhaps Goofy still has his kit from this? For some reason I could actually see Max pulling off the sunglasses / suit look better than his dad. Maybe it's the hair.

Max ending up being interested in apprenticing with Russ could end up being fun. Maybe even get him to start seeing his dad in a new light?

That sounds suspiciously like delayed gratification.

Maybe, but Scrooge had the acumen to back up his money. He went from nothing to the richest duck on Earth, and one incident (that he still hates himself for) aside he did it fair and clean.

There is a reason his first dime is so magically powerful - the first coin of a man like Scrooge is a foundation to what was once one of the surest things around. And there's a reason he was allowed to do shit like back the Gold Standard for the US - because a guarantee from Scrooge may as well be ironclad.

I dunno, an immediate curb stomp so hard that he needs to be scraped off the wall with a spatula in spite of his new mystic power would've made me laugh....

Yeah, and that ended up happening, but first he managed to defy the odds for just long enough to jerk us around - but not long enough to stop us.

On TV, you'd be right. In a quest, with the numbers and odds known, though...

"I've neva seen dis before!" Ludivine declares. "Ze magik has turned heem into a Toon duck, and coopled wit ze stress uv da adventure, eets like sum sort uv, uv-"

Duck Rage: Max gains a +10 to combat rolls and temporary access to the Tooned In trait due to overwhelming, inconceivable fury!

"Ah jes, zat. Zank you.
Did Ludivine just react to quest text?Is she known to act this way?
With an overwhelming "WAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!" of rage, Max pulls the talisman out of Kranz's fingers, winds up, and sends the toon slamming through four walls, two trees, and the top of a mountain. Through the holes, you can see the distant form of Kranz rapidly disappear into the night sky until it is nothing but another twinkling star.

"Hah. hah. Hah." Max pants heavily, as the transformation begins to wear off. You clap the boy on the shoulder. You have misjudged him. He has the heart of a warrior.
Of all the people to impress Temujin is not one he would have wanted to impress for a normal and not-exciting live. Genghis will recommend Max for future high octance martial actions, won`t he? Max + "Kung Fool" Dennis will be most loved lieutenants... Max will hate this and Doofenshmirtz maybe has to holdTemujin back from all poeple from recommending Max. This is going to be interesting.

Maybe we should keep the Rooster Talisman ourselves. It seems to fit us fairly well, and we could use the martial safeguard.

By the way, quick aside - Goofy just took Max to see something on Broadway and they both enjoyed it.

Broadway is in New York City.

You know, with the amount of road trips, foreign vacations, and adventures to the far-flung corners of the Earth he goes on, I'm surprised Max hasn't developed a trait centered around travel.

Maybe it's because he dislikes it so much he actively resists getting better at it, but he's had plenty of experience by this point.

I've been watching P&F and I've finally reached Norm Unleashed, did we ever get Khan to teach people how to throw hatchets from horseback?

This quest net you two new cards!

The Xanadu adventure and the knowledge you gained about Toffee's forces have unlocked a new paradigm!

😈 Monsters: Unusual creatures that are more often than not scorned by man. Some bear the title with pride.

Can someone give me the link to the DoofQuest cards document? I seem to have lost it
