Given that Xanatos has come out in favor of the repeal, what disadvantages are there to using the Collaborate with Xanatos [SRA repeal] over doing it ourselves? I feel like if anyone could put the spin on the idea that our delay was a calculated response to important stimuli or suchforth, it would be Mr. Just As Planned, and it's unlikely to cost us anything we particularly care about.
...

Actually this is not a bad idea. Like, sure Xanatos will use it to make the SRA appeal work for him, but like... we don't have skin in this game, so throwing it to advantage Xanatos isn't a bad idea.

I would like to collaborate with Xanatos on other projects, under the assumption that we can't just keep collaborating with Xanatos on whatever project we want again and again.

It didn't seem like a one-off to me. My read on Xanatos is that he'd love to keep collaborating with us, up to and including subsuming our foreign policy. I doubt we'll let it get that far, but it's something to think about.

I'm not saying it's a one off, I'm just saying we likely can't collaborate with him on everything. Besides, I think it's important to come at the situation independently in order to provide an organic response that will be taken as genuine by the populace.

Ah yes, because being friendly with Xanatos will let him gain time travel.
I don't think that he will need us for gaining Phoenix Gate. But we will need to keep eyes open for possible developments in this area.

This is a insulting 'what if' based out of absolutely nothing. By this argument we should never make any diplomatic contact with anyone.
Never make diplomatic contact - no, not help others supervillians just for the power of frienship - yes.

Actually kinda acceptable, i prefer if we make our moves in this direction more covert and it helps. Kings will be aware and i bet population will care about dino meat more than about SRA.

I keep hearing arguments against lobbying against the SRA. "It's not our problem." "It's too risky." "It's not a big deal." "It'll just hurt us in the long run."

People.

WAKE. UP.

You're being hypocrites. If our power didn't hinge on the people, we wouldn't have used all those actions on improving our PR. We would have said, "Suck it up" and just let them deal with their problems. In fact, the entire new social media platform program is a PR stunt. We need the people of Doofania on our side. If we make too many unpopular decisions, they'll start rioting.

Another thing: the SRA is very much our problem. As I've said before, we've only said we seceded from the US. It's a statement absolutely no one takes seriously, not even us since we still pay our taxes! Thus, if we ever want people to take us seriously, we need to start playing on the bigger stage. Not to mention that since we're still technically part of the US, those laws apply to us to. If we don't like 'em, we should do something about it.

Also, counterpoint to people worried about supers taking on our "Evil" organization. That's unlikely to happen, since they can't prove we're actually evil and not eccentric. Taking aggressive action against us without that sort of evidence will just bring the SRA back and cause public unrest, which is the last thing any super wants. Besides, which is a super more likely to attack? On one hand, we have an eccentric pharmacist who helped lobby against the SRA and gives out jobs to supers who come to work for him. On the other, we have an "evil" pharmacist who did nothing to help supers and has no clear beliefs or policies.

If we don't take a stance on this, it will be like the Election of 1800. People didn't vote for Burr because they didn't know what he believed or what his policies were. If we follow a similar line of behavior, no one's going to trust us.

Plus, if we don't take a stance, Xanatos and Shego are going to see us as indecisive and someone who can't come through to help others with their goals, traits we need them to think we have if we want any sort of alliance with them.

I do wonder if Yosemite Sam owns his casino from that one spy movie.

Back in Action? Definitely possible, since the events of the movie and the workings of it fit this pretty well, but the plot of the movie hasn't happened.

That does imply Marvin is out there in space and probably seriously annoyed by the GalFed hovering around the planet he wants to destroy though.

She's the daughter of the Summer Fae Queen Titania. Anyone who killed her would have the wrath of Xanatos AND The Fay Court fall on their head like the meteor that killed the Dinosaurs the first time, and if it was sickness or disease or whatever Xanatos's money or Titania's Magic should have been able to heal it, so something fucky is going on.

Well, the Gargoyles also aren't around anymore...

Ooof. They are doing really well lately.

I blame us. We put out out own OS, and all the virtual denizens on the run slipped into our space to strike at him from. So MCP stepped up his game.
And he's voiced by Tim Curry.

"Yaaaaaaar! I'm escaping to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by corporate greed - CyberSPAYCE!"
These Teamo Supremo villains are proving surprisingly versatile without those meddling kids to keep them in check.

Anyone can go big when they're in the right spot for it.
Gantu's Background Monster World Adventures Arc is one of my most favorite things about this quest.

Wil E's enlightenment has been a treat too.
but it seems too on the nose.

Well, yes. Which is why it should be COMPLETELY EXPECTED.
Coyote on Farming cause dinosaurs are early birds.

This just in, Roadrunner seen leading a pack of Coelophysis.

(Though honestly they're old enough to probably still be reptiles.)
Bugs and Daffy are likely just actors.

Yes, but damn good ones. They completely changed their act to work with the times more than once.
Assuming this is Ducktales 2017 Glomgold, he is an absolute idiot,

No, it's the older Glomgold, the one who is a bit less toughie and smartie than Scrooge but not, like, nonfunctional.

This is not fear mongering. This is pure, hard fact

> Post is actually full of opinions and reaching to make historical connections

Really, it's not as if Doof has a duty to have an opinion on this issue so where's the indecisive bit coming from? This is literally playground logic where one kid talked smack about you and you gotta respond.

Please. We do PR moves to present a better face to the populace, and rolling out better standards of living (progress on food and power generation) is like 100x more effective than cheering on or ranting against some law.

We live in a nation facing severe food shortage, and the SRA is the issue that will make or break our rulership? Give me a break.

Note: this is not pure, hard fact; this is my opinion.

It's not playground logic. It's "if we want people to take us seriously, we need to get with the big leagues." If we just do nothing after being called out by Doom and all the other big names getting in on the action, that's gonna cause a huge hit on our reputation among the other kings. And if living quality was so important, why haven't we done it yet? People have been eating crickets and rats for months, yet no one has made very vocal complaints. Besides, we need to branch out into the super community, because that whole place is full of possible resources. Doof started his pro-Toon policies just so he could exploit Toonforce and other Toon-related resources. To not do the same for supers would just be hypocritical and dumb. Besides, that talent pool can very easily be turned against us if we get on the wrong side of it, and not doing anything for the SRA is not the right foot to start on.

The SRA may not be what makes or breaks us, but it will determine the amount of influence we have in areas outside our own territory. When you're surrounded by people who can very easily turn on you if you piss them off? Isolationism is not the way to go

Laser Pirate
[ ] Rob ENCOM HQ
DC 90 (Reduced by ???)

ENCOM HQ was broken into last week by what confused and disturbed bystanders are calling a 'digital pirate.' The so-called pirate sailed an enormous flying ship shaped like a skyscraper down Palos Verdes Drive into downtown LA, thus bypassing traffic, before staging a break-in by animatronic pirates. The 'shipscraper' or 'pirate building' was destroyed in the attack, but the Laser Pirate in charge escaped on some form of hover-dinghy. ENCOM is remaining tight-lipped about what, if anything, was stolen. Sadly, you may never know what-
The GIANT FLYING BUILDING was destroyed, that's despite beating the dice check by over 50%. This is someone who can clearly afford significant losses in pursuit of their goals.

Oof. Not unexpected. Hopefully we can smooth things over with Khan even if we do take an anti-SRA stance.
Why do we even need to smooth things over with Shere Khan? Not like we interact with him much.

ENCOM

Given ENCOM's whole deal, I am not sure if this falls under Martial, Stewardship or Learning. There may even be an argument for Intrigue.
Regardless, we are looking at a stat at 58.
They also have a hero with 34 in the same stat, loyalty in the 50-74 range.
Damn ENCOM's got some bonuses. I've realized something though:

Up to and including November/December 2015 ENCOM received ZERO bonuses to their rolls. Not even from stats, they had only the raw unmodified dice roll every turn. Then in January/February 2016 they did nothing at all. Or at least, nothing publicly. Then next turn (March/April 2016) and every turn onwards they have that same massive ( 58+34+8 for a total of PLUS 100, which unless they roll a nat one basically makes them immune to failure) bonus that leads them to triumph after triumph.

Something MAJOR must have happened in ENCOM in Jan/Feb 2016. A company does not acquire such a massive increase in competence simply, I suspect an outside force was involved.

I think we need to start looking more into ENCOM, something sinister is afoot.

Who here wants to bet that this is somehow connected to what happened at the Sands Gala?

ENCOM announced the release of its newest operating system: ENCOM Legacy. In complete defiance of everyone's expectations, it's actually… really good. That's not even an exaggeration. It somehow managed to remove all of the incredibly annoying things that were present in previous editions while modernizing the latest iteration of the OS. It has been rolled out for free to every ENCOM user in the world, regaining them a lot of goodwill and raising expectations of a serious OS war in the near future.

Both had the same stat. Which likely makes it learning or stewardship, since that is where our "develop" and "Patch security" fell.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that in my last post. You're right, I went a little overboard saying it was facts. Sorry
The feelings were there and that's what do I like to see so I am fine with it. Going further to the topic when do you think will be best to take the stance? This is my suggestions.
The best time to take a stance is either this turn to not be considered coat chaser and firming our allience with Xanatos and Shego or at turn November/December to be appropriately be the final nail in the coffin as every other King's should already have taken their own stance and that is when the Gala incident happens which had instigated and allowed this whole thing to be possible in the first place.

The crickets and rats are the alternatives to going hungry so I presume people are fucking grateful. Wtf. We aren't feeding them military rations (which would be a crime against humanity).

And uh, disagree that failing to respond to a slur from a known rascal 'King' barely worthy of his name tanks our reputation, but hey, that's just my opinion.

Apart from my usual comment about fearmongering, if these supers actually turned against us due to an attack from Doom of all people, are we not better without them? Imagine, for example, Janna doing that. We love Janna. Janna won't do that.

Nor would the people I'd rock with. They should be able to see as we are, not as a mass-murderer would like to paint us ot be.

OK so I had a scary thought what if Xanatos isn't Xanatos.

If Fox is dead that means Xanatos didn't win. Which leads me to believe that someone else is playing the part.

Xanatos had the tech to make perfect duplicates of himself and others hell we see Coyote whom when is not a damaged robotic head is Indistinguishable From the real deal and we haven't seen Owen do anything puck magical.

I think Maybe Thalog won. Killing Xanatos and the Gargoyles and taking over Xanatos enterprises. Either repairing Coyote or replicating him to play the part of Xanatos while he rules from the background.

this is a rather large problem if it is true. We really need to confirm he's not arobot.

I can get on board with that. We can recruit Wendy and have Phineas and Ferb work on our new social media platform this turn, and when we reach out to Shego this turn, we can explain what it is we're doing. This should help smooth over any diplomatic problems that delaying would cause between the two of us.

Tank? Psh. F*ck no. Inconvenience in a way I'd rather not deal with to prevent a headache? Oh, most certainly

And about the food? That was kinda my point.... was that not clear? I'm not the best at wording things sometimes

It happens to the best of us.

Also, Do you know where the calculator is located? I just need to know the percentage of a DC 90 roll with a +50 bonus

Edit: added the loyalty bonus
I'm sure you're good by now, but for the future:

If I had to guess? Once the MCP realized someone was actually competing with ENCOM in a way he couldn't sabotage digitally, he stopped completely ignoring the User side of things while letting ENCOM's incompetent human board do all the work, and started using his ludicrous processing power to recapture his User market share.
