@Arathnorn Hey questions about Esoteric Transportation Zaibatsu RA

1. Would Wasabi or QMS get their speciality Bonus on it
2. Since heroes can refuse actions they dislike, would Wasabi refuse any Zaibatsu RA's do to his history with Yokai and in San Fran?

Do we know how fast GalFed communications technology is? I'm writing an omake and the specifics of the scene kind of depend on that, and I'm not sure where else to ask.

Janna has a bunch of fun personal actions, I wonder if we can put her on the Manuel of Witchcraft and Alchemy this coming turn? Maybe Commit Identity Theft afterwards, although planning two turns ahead is folly, but getting her actions done would be great.

Edit: nevermind got confused, one more turn of studying magic for her, and then the cool book.

My take about negaduck plan:

-He plans to create a new food crisis by attacking the kings, that has invested money and resources in solving the previous food crisis. It could even attack the Us goverment.

Why?, because negaduck a this point wants atention, he wants to be the big duck, the big bad, after Darkwing death, he needs something to fill him up.

And so by creating a new crisis attacking one the core needs of people, he will have the public eyes on him. And he will be the most scary and annoying thing for people to worry about.

OR b, this is a distraction for a bigger plan.

----------

So after the previous update:

-Well Shego got Drossel, its bad. But meh at this point is a race with the other kings to get the ¨lootboxes¨ that are present on the quest, and with other problems and stuff happening around, it was bound to happen at the end of the end, Doof has to lose something to earn something we could have got Drossel, but we could have lost something or someone in the process.

-My other bet is that jakes sister is the new american dragon.

-Nice toffe lost income, and his plans got a bit derailed for a bit. And negaduck crew`s got stronger.

-Probably negaduck has a lot more heroes that we have planed around. At this point the guy is probably a decentralized king, and we are dealing with a pseudo gang lord.

-Mmmm, its Fred still aroung for hiring on this quest?, i think at this point we would benefit for just hiring him, to do stuff for us.

-We are last on the franchise wars, maybe we could use the Silphium, and the dinasour meat; to release new types of microvawe food.

-I mean DEI has the most rare spice on the table, Although we don't have the best cooks around...maybe Kan Know a recipe with it?. I mean he probably have heard of a dish thathe eated it during his time.

Common Chef Kan sound cool, and it could add another stat to this already multifacetic mongol warrior.

So we're clear, that wasn't Negaduck attacking Toffee's crops. The mention of Cedric, implies it's actually Lord Phobos, Toffee's main rival in the dimensional wars.

WAIT HOLY SHIT I JUST FOUND THIS from back in the Magic Auction Quest:
Winnifred Occult Check: Spit one last curse
87+30+20+20+5+30 (Dramatic Last Words)=192
Doofenshmirtz Occult Contest:
33+4+20(I do the cursing around here)+45+30 (Hallowed Ground Bonus)=132

You feel a terrible wind whip through the cemetery as the witches begin to chant. You can hear Puck try to drown them out with his own witty repartee, but for some reason he sounds like he's coming from the other end of the tunnel.

"Hear me well and hear me wise, though meet we now with our demise. To stone we turn on hallowed ground, but peace, respite will not be found! With my last breath I do intone- thine doom as well, will come through Stone! I damn my soul now unencumbered. This city's days, I say, are numbered!"

Something has been sped up.
To Be Continued in: Twelfth Night
As Winnifred finishes her spiteful verse, the light and smoke grows to blinding intensity.
...That transparent part right under "Something has been sped up" wasn't there before, right?

So, in regards to the Franchise Wars: We'll for sure want to step up, new recipes, maybe a stance on lab-grown meat, or both at once. We also may need to do some stuff to kneecap the Zaibatsu. And possibly Khan.

Remember two things.
1. We need to manage our funds.
2. Next turn is Negaduck prep, which should take priority over anything else.

It may be worth it to avoid going all in just yet. An entry action is good, maybe a sabotage as well if we can spare the funds.

I'm pretty set on doubling up for the Franchise Wars, and then spend a third corporate action on whoever Negaduck is sending at us, although if its Quackerjack I'm not sure it's even worth doing the Mr Banana thing, I don't like the coin flip even if it succeeds we'll have totally disabled him, the chance of him being even stronger isn't something I'd rejoice. If it's him I might even argue for a triple down on the Franchise Wars if we can afford it.

Edit: 6 Funds is a lot but jumping up to five points and then cutting someone else down would be great for our standings.

Now that we know who it is, we get an ultra-effective special project to deal with them.

Problem is, we have ONE turn to do it.
Personally I'm hoping for the electric man, because he seems easiest to disable, just shut down the power, and don't give him any Normbots to suck up. Second easiest best would be Bushroot actually, because going full greevil to get that +20 diplo to convince him to not attack us would be great, but also because it's an excuse to get some more environmentally friendly stuff up. It'd be a nice little public opinion boost and I love me a mystery box that ??? intrigues me.

Our second-highest Martial unit has an electricity gimmick. But, that said, yeah, Megavolt does seem easiest to deal with. Although, let's be clear, all of them are terrible options. I'm just praying we don't get water man. Also, Known, I just realized how appropriate your sig is here:
If it sounds like a duck, acts like a duck, and is clothed like a duck, it's probably a bomb-crafting supervillain.

Negaduck aside we've been heavily advised that if we jump into the Franchise Wars we must invest early and often, so now that we have, we really can't just let it rest for a turn unless something world ending comes along. Besides, wouldn't you guys like an additional +5 or +6 to our Funds from winning? Or at least the second place prize?

Honestly if we get a second Overbearing (Widgets is our thing) I think we should start working on figuring out how to make Overbearing into Monopolistic, cuz I'm not sure how that works but I suspect it requires more than just making more advertisements. Probably requires buying more restaurant chains?

I wonder how we can make Widgets Monopolistic?

I'd argue Negaduck counts as fairly world-ending. He's one of the most dangerous people on tbe continent.

If I had to do 3 Corpo actions I'd like em to be
Enter the Franchise Wars
Research a Market
Negaduck Prep

Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe Peter Pan as well if we're willing to spend the extra 3.

There are a lot of good Corperate Actions, and while Franchise Wars are important, we shouldn't cripple out other industries to do so.

Arguably the FW is the most important thing to focus on, as efforts to remain on top will get us Dominant or Overbearing in restaurants, and with potential good synergy with food/agri if we spend that last action to jump it up to Thriving and get a +4 there. Negaduck is very important yes, and everything else is secondary currently, but I think the FW is a very close secondary. Once Negaduck's event passes I think researching a market or focusing even more on the FW would be best.

I really don't think this is a good time for Peter Pan, it doesn't cost us anything to wait until Sinatra publishes Golden Oldies. Besides, the extra money is better spent on dragging down the other competitors in the Franchise Wars.
Current Franchise Wars Standings
The Zaibatsu Triad: 6 (+3)
Captain Kernel: 2 (+0)
Louie's Place: 5 (+3)
Chef Skinner's: 3 (+3)
Doc Hopper's: 1 (+1)
If the usual is +3, the Zaibatsu are just an extra push away from winning. Louie's winning in two turns.

Luckily, the war doesn't end when a team reaches 10, at that point they have to defend their position and keep knocking others down until at some point everything stabilizes. I'm not sure on what that means, but I suspect it may be that it's when a team maintains top spot for a certain number of turns, dice rolling every turn to see if it continues, or if there's a firm end point we just don't know about. Or the first point mixed with one of the last two.

The Franchise Wars are the most important if we invest heavily in it. I do not want us to fall behind in other areas for expansion because we spent everything on the franchise wars. We have quest to do, businesses to buy, tech to make, issues to lobby, and other industries to invest into.

There is a delicate balancing act here; and unlike the Franchise Wars these aren't gonna potentially backfire if we roll poorly or get ganged up on. Trying to win is fine; but investing everything to quickly is not.

That's a relief, yeah. Looks like we should Decry the Competition and Focus Group Test a Recipe. Bump us up a relative +4. Probably should also take an Affirmative stance on Lab-Grown Meat. While we're actually naturally sourcing our frog legs and dinosaur meat, we've got an edge on lab-grown meat even if we haven't actually grown any yet. We've got the mad scientists.
