But I don't want five more hero units! Much less more than five!
Considering the QMs have said they feel like we have too many heroes and wouldn't want to bloat it too badly because it might just become too much (out-of-universe reasons), I'm sure they will give us a benefit from the critical success that is not just giving us even more slots on top of what we'll already receive while also being a benefit worthy of a critical success. Perhaps a boost to personal actions? Or the ability to have a hero do a personal and national action?

So your rage while amusing is in my opinion misguided.

Figured that the emoji would indicate that I was being somewhat facetious when I posted that, but I do think you are right about it not giving us access to even more hero units.

I don't see it allowing us to put heroes on nationals and personals, we would munchkin that too easily. I could see a boost to personals happening. Maybe it'll give a boost to the nebulous Council we don't know anything about yet.

Upon finding new information...I'm still in favor of having P&F do Greevil power this turn (we could ELIMINATE Technor's malus!), but, the turn after this, solidify our hero structure.

In a freak misunderstanding, Phineas and Ferb have cast all our hero units in a single block of reinforced concrete! Our heroes are now one solid structure! What a calamity!

Say, anyone know where the set of Power Armor we got for Doof is described the best? Have been thinking about doing a HeroForge model of it for a bit now.

What do you think would be a more "Doofy" color scheme for the armor? His official corpo colors (purple with green highlights) or essentially his "normal clothes" as color scheme layered onto the armor?

My mental image of Doof's power armor is that it is bulky (not , say, Fallout power armor bulky) and in DEI colors. There isn't really symmetry in it. The weight and the like is evenly distributed but the functionality and appearance isn't.

Public opinion increases slightly!
Public opinion boosted significantly
Public opinion slightly decreased!
slight public opinion increase
Public opinion moderately increased!
Public opinion has been marginally increased!
Moderate public opinion increase!
Public opinion has increased!
Public opinion has decreased sharply!
Slight Increase: 2
Slight Decrease: 1
Marginal Increase: 1
Neutral Increase: 1
Moderate Increase: 2
Significant Increase: 1
Sharply Decrease: 1

Conclusion - We probably aren't back at our starting position but Doof wasn't popular to begin with.

Man do I wish we could power through the Flubber backlash.

It's important to remember that you can't just add and subtract public opinion. MiH has been pretty clear on that. We have to consider what caused each drop and what might counteract it. Right now, the LOVE MUFFIN thing made us seem irresponsible, just like Flubber would have. We need to show how responsible we are, which... I don't really know how we'd do, exactly.

I wasn't going to suggest Flubber, I'm just of the opinion we could survive Ludivine stumbling into it before the LM fiasco by using up +2 NA's. Now we're in the "people will actively try and kill us" range if we bring up making power plant.

Once we get the otherdimensionator working, we can just do Flubber research in an alternate dimension and tell that to the public.

Maybe not telling it to the public, but we should be able to make a Eureka town (I only watched the first episode).
