On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

The eldest dwarfs of the hold, those who advised the King for the entirety of his reign; Ancient Gormak, the Guild Master of the Metalsmiths and oldest Dwarf in the Karak and possibly the entire region, High Priestess Moira, his Grandmother and faithful follower of Valaya, and Lord Klausson, who's stern countenance does not falter even now are offered places of particular honour, behind only his Clan and Kin. These three elders, along with his most trusted advisors, allies and friends watch as the shroud-covered body disappears into the depths of the vaults, the mournful chanting of the Gazulites echoing through the cavern.

I was re-reading the update and just noted that Moira is "offered places of particular honour, behind only his Clan and Kin".

But shouldn't Moira be part of the "Clan and Kin" section of the procession, since she's Otrek's grandmother?

Her daughter may be Otrek's mother, and have married into the Clan. Depending on dwarven kin definitions that may or may not count.

I'm actually to see how Brangga's Bread and Baked Goods fared in the intervening 210 years. The plaitling that was running the place at the time is an elder by now.

It's possible, but I doubt it. You see a LOT of people in two hundred years. and we were there for only a couple of weeks.
And it's not like she's a stranger to elder dwarfs, being in Karaz-a-Karak and ranked 3rd. She probably sees her fair share of elders every day.
Yea, that is fair. I have no idea why I instantly grew fond of her and her shop.
