Eew. That will never, ever happen. If
@Velorien tries to write it I will fly over to Rightpondia just so I can take his keyboard away. Incest, even when there is no blood relationship, is vile.
Finally, motivation to organise A QM meetup!
More seriously, while you won't be seeing incest in MfD both out of respect for
@eaglejarl's wishes and because it doesn't make sense for any of the characters, my own stance is much more permissive.
On an MfD level, Keiko is recovering from attraction to Mari. So is Kagome. Noburi is recovering from attraction to Keiko. Hazō is recovering from attraction to Akane, who once came close to being adopted into the clan as well. None of those people are ever likely to backslide (though Hazō getting over Akane may not be quick or easy), but nor is adoption for political reasons a magic wand to change what's in their hearts.
On a fictional level, as an anime fan I've been forced to slog my way through more non-blood-related incest subplots than there are stars in the sky. Most of them are relentlessly dire, but, perhaps by sheer laws of probability, a few have been as compelling as any well-written romance, so I know it can be done. Besides, it's something like the third law of fanfiction that
any pairing can be written well by an author of sufficient skill.
On a real-life level, none of us choose whom to love, and it's not like anyone would ever want to want
a relationship subject to both devastating social taboo and uncompromising legal sanction. I'd never advocate an incestuous relationship because of the sheer number of failure modes (whether psychological, social or biological), and my gut reaction to inter-generational incest in particular tends to be fairly similar to eaglejarl's, but I am still sympathetic to those who face the
exact same kind of discrimination in civilised countries that, for example, gay people face in backward ones.
@eaglejarl @Velorien @OliWhail Have the renovations progressed to the point where the Goketsu household has a room suitable for a "Quiet Room"?
I was considering that those that aren't social butterflies would appreciate somewhere they could relax and read without feeling social pressure to be around people during game night. Rules include no voices higher than a whisper without mutual agreement of everyone present, and chill vibes. Books provided or welcomed.
There are plenty of rooms designed with enough soundproofing that nobody can hear the screams, if that's what you're asking. Hazō is welcome to suggest a non-terrifying use for them, though it seems to me like the hosts can always retreat to their rooms, and the guests not turn up, if they don't want to socialise.
