I want to be surprised that Snerra has been receiving visions. Visions that apparently lead her to create this Not!Anvil of Doom. But I'm not really surprised.

Eventually, no matter when we tackle Gromil Chain, we'd probably be ultimately spending the favor in Ravnsvake unless the thread chooses for some reason to never touch Alchemy ever which I don't see happening. IC too, I can see Snorri making yet another Talisman for Gimli, after what happened to Orra.
It's not that, the issue with Gromril chain is that we have to have gromril chain researched by Turn 38, otherwise we won't be able to fulfil the comission for the Cult of Valaya on time. That is a limited amount of time, which all of this is going to eat up, making it impossible to reach by then.

Now, it is not unknown for Runesmiths (or/especially Runelords) to be late on commissions because of !!RESEARCH!!, but that doesn't mean I want to be late, or vote for plans on the assumption of being late.

Karstah in particular has been great to watch.
Yeah, Karstah is the one that sticks out in my mind as well. One of the biggest issues (and part of their charm) Dawi as a race have is that they can't just Let It Go. And, with that it mind, it is so astounding to me how much she's helped Snorri move past his loss from centuries ago.

There is work to be done here, helping the Hold and more importantly, the Miners, recover all the faster.

Okay full cop I really like Ylva a whole heaping lot for all of this, but there is excellent reason to pick Norgrim. Both are about helping Dawi, but Norgrim is sort of about going out to find them and bring them to the door while killing what threatens them while Ylva is about going out and finding them and caring for them in the home. In this tortured metaphor anyway.

I'm happy it doesn't have to be in a plan, as I might end up abstaining. I'd be happy with either of them.

I don't see much reason not to do this, but we will probably need to Defense In Depth this little village again because even if its within Kraka Drakk's walls I can't see Snorri not building up shitloads of earthworks and other gubbins.

I want to do three actions into chain and one into the red liquid to finish it this turn. We can one turn Orra's request with two actions next turn and probably finish another mat sci at the same time or more rune metal.

Also wow we need more Ravnsvake favor asap. We have 60, and we need 70 for everything.

I'm of the opinion that we really ought to get all of the info we get before we hop into Akazit, which is locked anyway, and given what it is it's probably not going to see primary use till after the Valaya Armors. It seems the most in character, get's us a snazzy new specialty at Exceptional which is a great basis for getting into Akazit and will improve all our work with it and give us the easiest time expanding and learning it. But it will take more Ravnsvake favor so we have to take the Gimli commission, but Happily! We already have discussion on hand for this.

I have an idea for Triage design as well. The thing about accepting it is that while we can't give Orra her eye back now, we can write in a difficult request to make one for her at any time after researching Secrets of Light. I also want to do part 1 now, both since I was struck with an idea, and because this set up lets us finish Gimli's and her's next turn and from what I see people want to do stuff for Orra now.

I'm less interested in comboing the legs than I am the arm, and I'm pretty confident that Valaya + Stone modifying the Master Rune of Unyielding will focus its protective and regenerative aspects. So in this case, we get confirmation on what multiples of a rune does for the legs and she gets to go fast which I'm sure she'll have fun with when it comes time to murder that dragon. The idea of our first Eye also being Orra's really appeals to me in light of this so there's a good reason to poke Secrets of Light after the Valayan and/or Gazul commissions.

@soulcake I'm sorry to make your life a little more difficult, but I'm hyped about helping her and so dove in immediately.

In terms of Zufazul and Dronril, we're probably gonna have to push those back unfortunately. Both are really helpful for Alchemy, but in all fairness that's their primary use case that I see. Zufazul would be the one out of those two most likely to help with the Valayan commission, so we should try to squeeze those in around Chain and Valaya's Basket Runes.

Becoming fluent in Eltharin costs 50 Kraka Ravnsvake favor in total, while acquiring the books necessary to get "Gain Specialty: Alchemy (Exceptional)" costs 40 Kraka Ravnsvake favor. We currently have only 60 favor with them, which is not enough to meet that 90 favor price.

I like this plan a lot. It makes progress on the rune metal and builds up the foundation for alchemy.
 
In light of our most recent issues, I am thinking turn 35 could be expended dropping two actions into Gimli (His needs less overflow in my estimation) and Orra's commissions and taking the Valayan commission. They run out at the end of turn 35, and we'd be able to pick it at the start so that's fine. If people want I can just slap it into my plan and call it a day, no big deal.

Anyway if we do that, we'll have in hand come turn 36; a lot more Ravnsvake favor, a better grasp on Chain and its difficulties, and the ability to do Valayan Basket Runes and Zufazul and Dronril if it turns out that chain's a bust or finish chain over turns 36 and 37. Why I dump so much favor into it too.

I don't like putting one action into the request this turn. I'd rather do both Orra's and Gimli's next turn with two actions each and get a bit of overflow into it. Just more efficient and let's us do the liquid this turn as well. Idk if that rune combo would work? One run has to be the rune of prosthesis which is an engineering rune or is that available as an armor one? This plan is a bit better actionwise with the two requests.

I think I prefer Yiva Hearth Hands as Firekeeper.

Not only is she a great healer, but she also takes part in the development of knowledge and structures to further help those in need (adopting new techniques and supporting the development of Valya's Springs. I'd like the Hearth Guard to not only be out there defending those in need, but also helping spread knowledge and supporting long-term projects that would have a beneficial good. Having someone who has done all that as our Champion, I think, would be a good way to get our group of eclecticly skilled Dwarfs to think how else they could support the development, spread, and implementation of whatever their expertise is.

Right, I was assuming you were going to put just one action next turn into Orra's reuqest for two total. I kinda want the liquid done because we're getting monster gains now with journeyman of the odd and it's might get us rune metal or valaya's runes progress again. Good point about the favor though, that'll speed it up a lot.

I really want to do zufazul as well, but if I'm honest with myself its more for Akazit stuff than Valayan stuff even if out of all of our mat sci it probably has the most direct potential benefits to the Valayan stuff since it can probably be a Rune Reagent. I don't think its a huge loss though if we push it off past the Valayan commission, if it turns out chain can be done over the course of turn 36 and 37. And if chain can't be done over those two, then we can just pivot to Valaya's Basket and Zufazul and Dronril.

Yeah, I just think that 3 actions total is going to be fine for her commission vs 4 so I'd just squeeze it in there this turn. Plus I just want to know what it'll do and getting cross progress on other stuff is always nice to have earlier lol.
