Dropping to negative Econ would fuck us up and drop Stability anyway, while mills will give us innovation rolls which are currently being boosted by Patrician-supported Traders.

@Killer_Whale pointed on discord out that Improve Annual Festival means this victory will be celebrated. Overflow math aside, I want this battle to be remembered properly, dammit.

How about let's not risk starvation? Tens of thousands armed man going hungry isn't a fun situation. Especially stretching supply line across the entire lowland, which is insanely complex already.

Traders are NOT currently boosted - people voted to switch the boost to Yeomen last turn.

And we get MORE econ by just letting our overflow work then using Mills. I'd rather take the stability and more econ then less econ all by itself.

Reminder to all voters: Mills ends the turn with one less econ than Festival due to overflow. It does provide innovation rolls and 3 LTE, but it does not provide stability and effectively costs us 1 econ once the turn ends.

@Academia Nut
How many phases are left in this turn?

If this is the last phase, there's absolutely no reason to take mills. If there's one left, I'd say it's still extremely questionable, basically acting as insurance if we get another unusual econ->martial conversion.
Two phases and it becomes marginally reasonable, 3+ and it becomes actually reasonable but something must've gone very wrong.

Kinda hoping we get a Legacy for completely destroying someone who attacked us with a Take The Crown CB.

Something like "You gonna come at the King, you best not miss"

Overflow from wealth into econ(and mills eats wealth) actually means we get more econ with festival than mills.

Reasonable, but i don't know if we are ending this turn or entering another phase. I understand that overflow occurs dead last in a turn? (This starts to sound like overly complex Japanese card game.)

Finish the quest, boost the Patricians and through them the Yeomanry for the additional Martial score to help speed run the mountains so we can get to the Highlanders as quickly as possible.

Poke, poke. Hey, Listen! :V

Apparently using mills actually has us at less econ overall than going for Festival. Mills eats all the wealth that would overflow into econ and then we end up with less. Festival apparently gets more done.

Even if there was a risk of starvation, I have to assume that our Genius Martial/Excellent Admin/Excellent Diplo heir would try to take steps to mitigate it. Foraging for supplies in conquered territory, trading with local tribes, stretching rations to lower dependence, etc.

No, I will not stop gushing over this man. 10/10 husbando.

If we take the Horse Mountains the Ymaryn Empire will be huge for its day (even if it is technically mostly vassals). It would stretch from the mouth of the Danube to the highlands of Iran. Also we will control one end of the Salt Road.
