it makes you more approachable but not feudalism
sheep don't make sense in terms of feudalism because sheep aren't hierarchical. for all that there is a head ram

Also that is partly the point, authority and power are ephemeral things to a flock of sheep, any such power is a product of negotiation, they perfectly embody the lack of a state.

*pulls out a magnifying glass*
*peers through it; bends closer*
Even its anger is convincing...

the problem is essentially just that feudalism is such a foreign idea that none of us (or at least none of us americans) can take it seriously. Same goes w/ conquest for the sake of conquest; fear of independence in others to no purpose; etc.
also the fact that you keep posting sheep, make bad sheep puns, etc.

I just want to put in on the record that I'm both american and belive in maximillian's sincerity. Carry on.

We should get into a golden age as soon as possible. We're overflowing on four separate stats and we have multiple large stat drips coming in that'll see us overflowing in the remaining ones soon if nothing goes catastrophically wrong. We're going to need the large stat dumps that a golden age offer us or we'll have to start building megaprojects just to avoiding overflowing into Martial.

Take a more symbolism focused look at it;
Where do sheep figure prominently in history? Religious iconography, pastoral poetry, and romanticst art.

It perfectly captures the ideals I am aiming for.
I know that but we don't really oppose religious and romanticist ideals
so they don't register on our public consciousness of you other than as a peripheral
feudalism and expansionistic aims for a non-near term pragmatic purpose or ultimate goal of establishing a global federation are what we oppose and thus what seems trollish

all else is decoration

@Academia Nut please tell me that giving the Khem Warding is causing them as much trouble as them giving us Astrology is causing us? I'm bitter enough about this vote that that would be a balm to my soul right now.

Since the tally makes it seem likely that we will soon be at war with the TH, you should probably start browsing your Dead Horse memes to be ready for it.
Honestly, this is a little mindblowing to me.

The pacifists are deliberately voting to go to war against an opponent much larger and more powerful that the one the 'warmongers' want to run over, and our invasion route is vulnerable to the backstabber, not to mention our core provinces.

Is the supervolcano still in play?

Also how long till the Bronze Age collapse?

Is there anything we can do as a playerbase to prevent locking, because it's not fun if we keep doing this again and again.
Any quest this big and this popular is going to have baseline level of salt and tears that occasionally. This is stuff like people voting for options that don't turn out well or backfire, people having different views of how the story will go. Except in this thread, the last issues often intersect with real world politics.

All of that adds up to a thread that's locked even more than We Shall Stand in Awe was despite people being intentioned most of the time and missing some of the more toxic personalities from that thread.

why do you assume that the people voting for war are actually and entirely pacifists?
That isn't what the vote is about nor is a dislike of war the strongest reason for why most people were voting against shattering the HK, integrating their land, and executing their nobles

I am fairly certain that there is a quite significant opposition to both romanticst and religious ideals in the thread.
And I am perfectly aware that mine is a futile quest, but I accept it all the same.

Can you please stop? This is basically the same kinda thing as people radicalizing the more calculating people who want to subjugate the HK for strategic reasons by conflating them with the ones who have lots of hate for the HK.

It is not respectful and just leads to salt.

It's the hallmark of a good vote when faction lines break down like this.

Brother fights brother. The blood runs in rivers as friends turn on each other. The innocent mingle with the guilty and are devoured alongside them by the madness born out of the darkness of their hearts.

All for the glory of our fell master @Academia Nut !

Yeah, as much as I feel bad for both AN and any and all mods that have and will look over this thread, the fact that people continually get so invested in their choices is the hallmark of an excellent story. Good job @Academia Nut and sorry to both you and @ManusDomine for our feuds causing the both of you much trouble :)

[X] Yes (Forfeits the CB against the Highlanders, declares war against the Thunder Horse, brings Yenyna out of retirement, ???)

Gulvalley is at 4/5 Loyalty. Worrying.
It's because the thread chose not to help them rebuild at all. We have been giving them the bare minimum to fulfill Lord's Loyalty, which is like giving a cancer patient's project to raise money for healthcare that dime you found on the floor a few minutes ago as opposed to actual amounts of money to help.

Pfft

More like Taking a wounded man out of a car crash and not paying his healthcare.

I am reducing my Salt Levels by imagining how Smug I'll be if I was right.

After a particularly ego-shattering WoAN, a dozen of posters on Sage's quest photoshopped mustaches into their avatars.
