Hmm we'll want to integrate GulValley next turn so that we can start on that Megaproject to increase direct Trade. It'd increase communication and completely screw over the Trelli. Increased Trade ties will also ensure they don't suddenly decide to attack us.

We already kind of have our ruling families married, so I want to see if we can fuse our nations. Sure, we're incompatible now. But given time we can absorb some of their more wanted traits like that awesome megaproject stuff, and if we trade enough we can change their religion to suit us. At the very least it'll make our nations inseparable.

It seems kind of impossible on the face of it, but the Xohyr did something similar and everyone hated them.

Well, Megaproject is a must for one Main. With Stallion Tribe integration in the lead, we pretty much have to change policy if we want to keep the peace. That leaves one secondary.
We can switch it to Megaproject Support, leaving us with a Main and a Secondary. The Main will have to be used for New Trails since we'll be at Centralisation 2 after Gulvalley, leaving us with the Secondary. It's then a question of whether we want to use that Secondary to double the Main New Trails or to get us to maximum Stability with Proclaim Glory.

I'd like to once again point out that Enforce Justice is an amazing action so long as we retain the Wildcat Prospecting social value. We're actually at a scarily low Centralization value, likely dipping into red next turn if we do a full-power Wildcat along with our current Integrate Stallions.

We're also eeking dangerously close to maximal stat overflow after we Integrate Stallions. We'll want to deal with that problem by starting up a Golden Age.

Unfortunately the idea of staying on Offensive for a Double-main Raise Army is non-viable due to our lack of Wealth. We'll be at Wealth 2 going into the next turn, which is low enough that along with our current economic system we really can't take any wealth-costing options. While the problem is quickly fixed from Econ overflow, that won't happen until after the admin roll...

Well, I guess it depends on what the Hero/Genius admin guy does. He might just take over the turn anyway...

Because this is the second time in a single century that they tried to jump our bones in the middle of another conflict. And they stole our iron.
I had a thought. After we've thoroughly defeated them, can we ask all their metalworkers + families to come work for us permanently? No further tribute.

They'll figure it out again from the few that escape our grasp. But it should slow their metal knowledge for awhile.

Heck, why don't we go nice-Timurid and brain drain their best artisans in general?

No. Sure, we can integrate them. But finish the dam. Finish the lowland canal. Then do the PttS or whatever.

Who is living in that area west of the Swamp Folk and south of the HK?
It's probably desert. Remember that even though not!Earth is nearly geographically identical to earth, everything is shifted about 6-10 degrees south. This is what gives the Ymaryn (Ymar?) their warm, wet climate that has much more in common with the Mediterranean than with the Caspian basin. By that same token, those areas to the southwest which are dry scrubland and steppe in the real world are likely straight up desert in this one.

@Academia Nut How do these affect Loyalty values? Would it be possible to have the bonus value (if they have one) listed?
Lord's Loyalty
The ties between the People bind tight, and while this increases the obligations of the superior, it also makes the subordinate more likely to listen.
Pros: +1 Subordinate States, subordinate states less likely to break away
Cons: Minimum force commitment in defence of subordinates and allies increased one step, worse consequences for failure to assist

Vassal Lords (Five): Subordinates states less likely to break away

Rather than so many new trails, I'd rather bribe the Storm Wolves so we do not have to fight them.

Ah yeah, forgot about the ordering issue.

Well, I guess it depends on what the Hero/Genius admin guy does. He might just take over the turn anyway...

Forgot about this as well, so I guess we'll just see how it goes.

So how exactly are we going to nom the HK from a mechanics point of view?
So what happens if I understand it right is that next update is the main turn. We spend time building things up and whatnot.
Then comes the mid turn and we handle the stuff there. Then on the following main turn we get a 2 to 3 turn long Treachery CB against the HK.

So we use that in our first offensive war ever to go get rid of the backstabbers.

I will say this: If this is an Alternate Universe version of Earth (like Asia is to the east, Europe to the west and beyond that the Americas) I hope Zealandia is a thing if only to spice up the world some.

In Civ games the primary reason why I prefer Continents, Fractal and Pangea map types over the Earth one is to make exploration more unpredictable.

I hope this world hold surprises for us too.

Just a reminder: Infrastructure currently gives us free +2 progress/turn. That means an additional policy is equivalent to about half of our [React] Build More Aqueducts but every single turn, and without any econ cost.
You want to pound that button hard, don't you?

Getting that many free cities that fast without any understanding of how to manage them is going to fuck us, though.

Scale your ambitions back and plan on shaking up our entire form of government more slowly.

Especially since changing these policies off of infrastructure will be horribly action-expensive when it blows up in our face.

It's sorta alternative universe Earth, but at the same time, it isn't. It's weird, ya know?

I would say it's a sister planet to our Earth.

Hmm we'll want to integrate GulValley next turn so that we can start on that Megaproject to increase direct Trade.
Definitely not.
  1. We don't have the Centralization for it, period. We are going to be at 2 cent already.
  2. We don't have the population to fill all that space. All of our True Cities would instantly pop, and there go our free policies.
  3. We are about to start a War; why would we try for another megaproject right before it?
On top of all that... is all the low hanging fruit we have already REALLY not enough for you? We want to take a double-main Expand Trails. Same for a double main Expand Forests. We have trade missions to send out, and trade goods to gain dominance/leadership in. We have a Dam to build, and subordinates to influence. And so on.

Why should we rush to integrate Gulvalles to unlock a Direct Trade Megaproject there? How is that a priority that supersedes everything we are doing right now?

if I had to guess it's overwhelmed. CA gives us a penalty, the two king legacies we got gives us a larger bonus. so we are scarier than if we had neither, but not as scary as if we didn't have CA.
I'd guess if people thought they could take us, we'd be an extremely juicy target. If they didn't think they could take us, then the King legacies would make them unlikely to change their minds. So basically Nomads. Actually, does anyone know if the Nomads ever use Take the Crown CB or just attack?
No. Sure, we can integrate them. But finish the dam. Finish the lowland canal. Then do the PttS or whatever.
Of course, it won't happen overnight. The idea is to do stuff like increase trade with them, keep sending Trade Missions and generally diplomance and get a closer relationship. This is like extremely long-term, and we'll obviously be doing a lot of other stuff in the meanwhile.

also, @Concho117 Heaven's Hawk is further west of the Stallions, not North of them like that, the mountains don't cut off our territory from the Steppes. Stonepen, which our northeasternmost core province, would be exposed to them.

Quick, appease Yanyan before she realizes that we're out of not!Egyptian generals to murder!

Steel? Steel!

We're low on Martial right now. justasplanned.jpg

[X] [React] Megaproject - The Games

That moment when you stalemate in a huge war and commemorate the event by inventing the Lothlorien-Wales-Assyrian Olympics

[X] [Policy] Trade (+1 Wealth/turn)
[X] [Policy] Innovation (Extra innovation roll each turn)

This seems like a good compromise between appeasing the Guilds and keeping our science going.

[X] [Bonus] Upgrade a random value

Cross your fingers for We Have Reserves, everyone!

I meant basic geography-wise and not the actual history/culture (after all, we have the Khem instead of the Egyptians). The rest of the world is unexplored so we don't know for sure but I hope it's not a carbon copy.
