They backed out of the attack on us. Carrot or stick? I say carrot, Stick just encourages them to join in after all.We don't though, we have a Casus belli against them for their treachery
Something that hasn't been discussed yet, but since we are sending our Red Banner Mercenaries against the Highlanders on top of setting our Policy to Offense, it is incredibly likely that one of the War Mission will be diverted to assist our Vassal.
So we don't really need to send assistance.
They backed out of the attack on us. Carrot or stick? I say carrot, Stick just encourages them to join in after all.
They totally planned to take a swing at us, but after looking at what happened, decided that taking us from both the north and south at once is suicide. You know...
I think this is a good time to gift the Thunder Speakers. Reward them for not turning on us, show we appreciate it, ease their concerns that they'll next, and begin the process of peaceful subjugation.
Won't do much good. Lowlands is already magnificent agriculture property. They are more likely to be appreciate having someone back them so they don't get raided every other day. Right now though, they would just like some help cleaning upI want to send assistance to teach them STRONG OPINIONS ON AGRICULTURE so that they have a reason to be grateful to us and not only fear us, thus cementing loyalty.
Also, cultural exchange.
Your lowland vassals are currently cleaning up the situation in the east and would appreciate help but do not need it.
Or we could just elect another blunt instrument king.I want to send assistance to teach them STRONG OPINIONS ON AGRICULTURE so that they have a reason to be grateful to us and not only fear us, thus cementing loyalty.

Is quite funny considering that baby grew up to be our first heroic intrigue character. You mean especially the baby.
First Heroic Intrigue character, AHOY!
I am pretty sure our Lowland Vassal is more focused on the Xohysirri Remnants. I would not expect too much help there. They totally planned to take a swing at us, but after looking at what happened, decided that taking us from both the north and south at once is suicide.
Because:
Highlanders are fighting:
-Hathatyn Colony
-Northwestern Lowland Vassal
-Valleyhome
-Redhill
Thunder Speakers would be fighting:
-Stallion Tribes
-Heaven's Hawks Tribes
-Stonepen
-Valleyhome
-Redhill
-Northwestern Lowland Vassal
They buggered off on the sole reason that once our main army is back they're fucked even if they did damage.
For once in their life, they realized that fighting a superior power is just pain.
I nominate you as Prophet Citino! You know, in retrospect this:

Yeah. Now that megaproject is out of the way and Xoh is smashed, the lowlands combined can't fight us. They're taking climate damage every turn and we aren't. Plus, we have both the best infantry and cavalry in the region. And they have trade disruption preventing them from full bronze production.Actually, best bet is if the TS do attack during this fight. The HH and ST would be too busy fighting the TS to be thinking of rebellion, which gives us time to spam more roads and finish the palace.
Actually I sort of hope this war continues for awhile at a low boil. I didn't think the provinces are going to want to break away in the middle of a war so it buys us time to make more trails and generally pull the country back together.
But he's our ass!So Phygrif's response was "Nice! A good woman is like a good horse: the more effort goes into getting them to accept the harness, the better the ride at the end of the day."
...He's kind of an ass
...Is that not how popularity works? I have had several experiences tell me that the popular one is usual rude and obnoxious. But he's our ass!
Still find it funny that he's probably going to be one of the most beloved kings we've ever had, even though a large part of the player base hates him.
10/10, would elect again. He's just the sort of horrible person that somehow makes it hilarious rather than horrifying. So Phygrif's response was "Nice! A good woman is like a good horse: the more effort goes into getting them to accept the harness, the better the ride at the end of the day."
