Someone brought to my attention that doing the Festival for stability and then kicking the megaproject would basically put us right into a golden age. Is that right?

Because that sounds like a thing we should do.

I'm...not sure how they thought that would work, since kicking would eat stability, and as far as we know the Temple isn't a land management project and so wont give us stab?

Question for those who know about this stuff, how are our neighbors getting fuel for their forges? We did it by having all the forests we need to do so, but most other groups don't really have that much wood. So are they just cutting down what trees they have for fuel, or do they have some other way of getting fuel?
Since they don't have our cleanliness taboo maybe they just burn dried shit?

No because kicking costs stab and the Temple is unlikely to payout in stability.

If you want Golden Age take Enforce Justice with Improve Festival.

E: *Thwack!* "Down my inner Magpie! Down!" Unfortunately it also could redline Centralization to 7. Need to be careful.
We'd be in the middle of a golden age and with overflowing or near-overflowing in all our stats. It's also rather unlikely IMO since we have enough walls that the action should be significantly neutered. Luckily the stability gain is guaranteed, and thus unaffected by the amount of walls.

In addition we've never actually seen what our Centralization or Hierarchy limit are for Oligarchic Ancient Kingdom.
We only know about Early Ancient Provincial Kingdom (Elective).
Hardly. Fertility covers that as well since it is about all things producing, not just the Human Womb.
It's about reproducing. It's not about shaping the land and harvesting from it, it's about reproduction in all things.

Nope. That doesn't work at all.
Enforce Justice and Festival does work though.

I'm somewhat sure he said that it'd require a crit-fail on the admin roll, but that was in reference to a stability minus action combined with a plus action. So yeah, confirmation would be best.

Because Fertility is moving away from Divine Stewards? Harvest is about working the land, the give and take of the natural world and what we have wrought upon it.
Fertility is mostly about just making a ton of children, with a side of needing to feed them. Harvest is what our civ has been about since almost the very first vote.
Fertility is about nature untrammeled.

It leads to more deforestration, which I am quite happy to let them do.

Our challenge is to make sure our sustainable forest harvests outcompete their short-term effort of cutting down trees to do whatever they want to do, like mass produce steels.

I agree. But that's not what we as a civilization do. We don't let nature run free, we manage it. We carve steps into the hills to make our farms. We burn the trees to give them new growth. We do not let nature run free, we study it and improve it.

We are a civilization. Fertility is anti-civilization, for she is nature unchained.

I wonder if the northern provinces supplement their blacksoil production with the corpses of their enemies.

Why are we voting for Enforcing Justice when we want to centralize further with building new roads? That's stupid. If you want a golden age, wait for Proclaim Glory instead.

Because there is a good chance that if we get to gold Centralization and pop into a Golden Age of Diplo/Art with a side of gold Cent we can find better options to lower it.

Because
1) Golden Age immediately. Proclaim Glory would require at least another turn and require a [Main].
2) We don't know what our current centralization cap is since we changed government type.
3) The best way to improve the cap is to push it, preferably at the gold level
