@Paperclipped how would you feel about a plan that had us trading some of our gains we got from Oro to convince Naruto to trade some of the jutsu that Jiraiya left to him?

Alternatively how would you feel about using some of our gains to try and recruit a technique hacker?

Both of these sound good, but the latter would be very underspecified and I would have no clue where to begin with that alone.

It's been brought up on Discord that it's incredibly unlikely Kagome wouldn't lose his shit about this in some way, shape, or form. So, I'm going to have to change votes to head off that inevitable shitstorm. :V

Does anyone have an action plan that has Hazou saying "actually, I don't want this handed to me. I want to learn how to make such a bioseal, myself. I want to learn it, earn it, make it mine."

Orochimaru may actually respect such a reason.

We've been back in Leaf for long enough to have asked Gaku/Mari, no? I don't know how long it would take them, but there are fewer and fewer chuunin around.

And we could have sent a request to find out to Noburi while travelling home or prior to entering.

If we need to vote it in again so be it, but it would be nice if we could get QM notes that some parts of the plan weren't actioned and will need to be put in another plan later, or that it's been accepted and Pilot will execute as soon as he's able.
 
Plan that I think would be fun, give us some more powerups and, advance project necromancy
Plan to add relevant sanity checks but would like the more conservative players to suggest exactly how they would like them to be phrased

[X] Action Plan: Trading secrets for ultimate power
  • Naruto
    • Go over all the rewards we got from trading with Oro
    • Meetup with Naruto and offer to trade him whatever he might be interested in for jutsu that Jiraiya left him
      • Hazou knows how Naruto feels about him but he thinks Jiraiya 's clan should have some of his legacy
      • Hazou understand that he might not want him to learn them but we would be willing to promise to restrict them however Naruto wants
      • We miss him and we're hitting a wall on figuring out how to get him back.
    • Talk about Hazou's struggles on trying to get the rift open
      • Hazou has some vague thoughts that combining a custom justu with seals we might have better luck
      • Hazou knows that Minato was able to combine the two disciplines to incredible effect
        • Based on how complicate the Bijuu seal Hazou wouldn't even be able to begin to understand any notes he left
        • But if Naruto knows someone who might be willing to teach Hazou we would like to know about them
        • Or if he knows of any beginner level resources we might start to study
  • Sealing
    • Take a day to begin working on the Bijou seals with Kagome
      • Discuss how weird Naruto's "seal" was
      • Hazou has some understanding of traditional biosealing from his most recent discussion with Orochimaru.
        • What's on Naruto feels like it's on a whole different level than what he understands biosealing is actually capable of doing
        • He thinks that to truly crack the Bijuu seals we might have to start exploring biosealing. He wants to see how they can start safely experimenting with the discipline

The rewards that Mr. Orochimaru gives us is kinda not interchangable. Do we even know what kind of jutsu is left to Naruto other than that rasangen jutsu?

TBH, I think the kind of jutsu Naruto can give us will pale in comparison in what we will gain from Orochimaru.

Also, Naruto is next to useless on questions of technique hacking. If we want a TH, we can get one if we try, and so far we did not really try.

Hell, Mari got a TH to develop a jutsu for her. Why don't we ask that guy?

  • In the hours prior to meeting Oro a second time:
    • Have Kagome run having a snake enter Arachnid territory so that one of the strongest people we know can help kill the dragons by Kumokogo. if she says no, inform Orochimaru of this.
  • Sealing
    • Now that Hazou's done with the administrative nonsense, he can work with Kagome on Minato's Seals. Have at it! Invoke at least one FP on any particularly difficult things, and freely use them to reroll if it's necessary.
    • Meet up with Ino and catch up on the local gossip. Mention the difficulty in finding a telescope that would make it relatively easy to check on the Great Seal on the Seventh Path from a distance. Does she know of any that we could borrow, or anywhere we could commission them? The Aburame glassmakers don't know how to.
      • If we can get one in a reasonable time frame, do so and take Kagome to the seventh path to look at the great seal from a large distance with skytowers.
  • Scaling
    • Arrange, with Mari and Kagome's (as a sealmaster himself) help as to phrasing, meetings with the various sealmasters of Leaf to purchase for use (not research!) their seals in Kagome-level quantities
      • Search particularly for seals that would play well with MARS, to improve loadout
      • Things to offer in exchange, in approximate order of desirability to do so, to the limits of our capacity to do so: Money, influence, a vetted sealing project within X timeframe (intended to be after effective sealing is ~80, so 2 years or so?), providing seals for tower requirements (The X storage/explosive scrolls required monthly of a sealmaster), our time (in the immediate sense), missions in the near term taken for their benefit
    • Go over all the Oro rewards

Anyway, doing it this way makes it so we can give everyone what they want. Paper gets a plan he likes, we can vote in doing play-politics stuff with Ino on Thursday for Vel, and then we can have Noburi go punching on the seventh path on Sunday for eaglejarl!

It may be useful to inquire the hiring/adoption of a TH to decode the fourth's notes. Plus, we need a TH.

That's beyond the scope of this plan. I'm not interested in making a plan with seven scenes. My planmaking goal in general is to keep it simple and keep it focused -- I intend to possibly elaborate later on methods to get seals from the other sealmasters, but little more than that.
