No argument from me, but this isn't something we get to decide. I do want to note that they weren't specifically on the list of available forces, although that doesn't mean we're not allowed to use them.

I think the plan still works without one Summoner, but two would be pretty bad. We might have to go with Mari/Akane SCs in that case.
 
Isn't Shikamaru going to propose the mission, not us? It seems weird to be voting this in if Hazou isn't actually in charge of... well, any part of this

At the very least we should be capable of expending enough chakra to Reverse-Summon a Kaiju's worth of rock if the Boss Summons are any indication

Ok, 1st we need a tuneler summon for hazou, with a tuneler summon we can open with mew bombardment,
By shadow clone, this will bait any jounin in the facility if there any. Afther we neutralize the main treat, another shadow clone can use living roots to fin the underground tunnels and the tuneler doggo can make one or more entry points. Then we can proceed to assault the facility with the summons and take the scroll/whatever they are protecting.
 
Could we not just use tunneling Pangolins and strap gross amounts of explosives to them?

If they get stopped, the explosives help collapse the ground and helps with digging. If they reach the city, then it's gone. Not sure if it should be all at once or one at a time, but I don't see why this can't work.
 
To be honest, fuck the pagolins. They will be uncooperative or try to gauge us since they are in fact not pleased with their current predicament. So i rather not have to deal with them if ist necessary.
 
Might it be a good idea to see if there is anything that can be offered to the pangolins that would bribe them sufficiently to allow Naruto to learn ghost scales. I submit that buffing friendly s rankers is the way to go.
 
That update indicated that they were retroactively displeased with the bargain. That asking a favor would not go well. I propose looking into whether the village of leaf has anything to offer them that would make teaching it to Naruto worth their while despite that. Essentially apologizing and trying to make it up to them.

To be honest, we can drop this idea to kei ponder herself.
Ultimely we dont need the pagolins another thing kei can lavrage to stregh ger personal position, our relationship will never amiable again, those bridges were burned, but increasing kei's military police power is usefull regardless.
But teaching that justu to naruto would only make things worse for kei.

I feel like we were told at some point that a Pangolin could bring a body back with them, but I'm not entirely sure. Maybe it was that they could eat it?

My broad expectation would be that everyone who moves from Path to Path has a mass budget and that it's sufficiently limited as to be prohibitively difficult to weaponize. Moreover, I expect that chakrAI accepts some things for reverse-summoning and rejects others based on whether or not they'd be game-breaking an opaque set of rules which appear to be totally arbitrary.

I would not have expected Kakashi to be able to reverse-Summon a boulder where Hazo could only manage a large stone based on their chakra capacities/skills as Summoners. This is both intuition as well as the fact that Summoning is a stunt not a skill so you can't level it, and we've never been made aware of an ability to expend extra chakra while Summoning. I would have expected that to come up during Summoning training. That it didn't implies (to me) that either it was part of the big list of Things Not To Do If You Value Your Life or that it's just not possible.

The case where I'd expect Summons to be most capable of transporting material would be the Snakes and maybe the Toads, as swallowing things and regurgitating them is part of the shtick. If swallow-unsummon is an instagib regardless of how badass you are, I would have expected to see the Toads using it at the BotG. Maybe it kills the Toad?

This would be really weird, because the Summon is not its real body, it's some sort of chakra construct shell thing. Maybe there were no Toads who present who could do that to Akatsuki, or maybe it doesn't transport things back to the Seventh Path
 
Here's my (bad) take on reverse summoning mass limits:

Hazou, when he's all drunk on the fundamental truth of the universe, calls it 'Wayshredding'. This reminds me of skateboards. If you're on a skateboard shredding your way around, you're standing on the board, you can carry some things with you, but if you tried to tie a wagon to the skateboard, well, good luck shredding with that much dead weight attached.

Accordingly, the amount of mass you can bring with you is directly correlated to how radical your wayshredding is, obviously. We need to get Hazou dressed in peak 90's fashion if we want to truly push the limits of our fourth dimensional skateboard.



But no seriously I do think that wayshredding is likely something of an active motive activity, and that the mass limits are less a question of chakra envelope sizes and more a question of how much 'inertia' you can have before the technique risks not having enough oomph to succeed. No hard evidence, but that's my impression.

  • Discuss with Uplift, then pitch battle plan to Kei and Shika to optimize and deliver to Asuma.
    • Proposed team: Mari, Kei, Noburi, Akane, and Summoners/ninja Kei or Shika recommend
      • Noburi can be deployed or refill from Leaf.
      • If Noburi is in the field, gain additional summoner and on field refills
        • Chakra would be more limited.
        • Drain other Summoners on 7th Path?
      • Operate Skytower out of reach of enemies, but close enough for Summoning
        • Disguise Skytower with sky-colored cover.
        • Against fliers - Mari with genjutsu, or Condor Summoner for defense.
    • Send SC with Skywalkers to bombard the island.
    • Then SC drop down and engage.
      • If Noburi is in the field summons will take the field simultaneously, if not we'll deploy summons after SCs pop
    • If chakra is depleted and resistance remains, move Skytower twice and start again next day.
      • Not ideal, reinforcements could show up.
    • Suggest 'contest' idea to any involved Summoners, help them acquire one-time contracts
      • The Summon with the most kills/greatest contribution from each clan receives a prize (favors, interesting foods, resources, better deals in the Summon network, etc)
      • Tower could use resources for one-time contracts
  • Hang out with Kei and Ami at the same time (let there be carnage)
    • Get some sick views from above the Hokage monument, provide peppermint tea and pastries
    • Ms. Mist Ambassador, DRAGONWAR is progressing pretty slowly. Assuming we get Asuma's approval, could one or two Kurosawa/Mori Sealmasters come contribute to Great Seal research? Alternatively, when he's healed, Hazou could make another model in Mist.
      • No one minds foreign Sealmasters creating mysterious sealwork inside their village right? (Joke)
