Voting is open
Voting closes Saturday morning at 9am eastern time, so not being around after that won't matter much.

I'm in CEST, so that's 3 pm for me, and I'm normally online for a few hours before the deadline at least. I also need to go to sleep earlier tonight, around 5 pm est, and in my experience, a lot of planning happens after this point.

Are there QM posts to this effect? I'm checking in QM chat to make sure I have a clear picture of where everyone is, but it would be good to have existing references.
If Hazō steps a zone away, he is off the entrance area and on the grounds, which are all earth. He can do this without being seen by the crowd while their vision is fully obscured by the tipserator mist. Edit: But depending on the angle and where he goes, he might be seen by people who have left the crowd.

Based on eaglejarl's map we should be able to step forward into the mist and onto dirt. If we can't do that and need to move to the side, we should pop a misterator while moving to the side, then go along with what we need to do to escape otherwise obfuscate our prior location.

Though... @eaglejarl, @Velorien, @OliWhail, are any of the proctors we are aware of Wakahisas?

There are people who have already left the crowd. So why don't we do the same and just leave towards the labyrinth under the cover of others leaving as well.

Why are we risking detection?

Because we are currently standing at the spot the mist visibly originated at.

Ugh, Wakahisas.

I'll be making edits to your plan.

Do we have actual smoke bombs?
Seconded @eaglejarl

I think there has been some kind of a understanding problem. Or maybe I missed something.

If we are being hidden by the mist why don't we just:

Other people are already breaking of from the mob so it's not like we'll be the only one.

We could escape to the back of the house, hide like a mole so the first couple ninjas pass us and then continue onto the maze.

Yes this is extremely frustrating because that map is rough and not at all to scale.

The point I think is that we have about 10 seconds until the crowd hits the door, and at that moment in time we do NOT want to be in visual range of the front of the house or we risk chance of disqualification. with a -30k penalty.

Hazō cannot currently see anything that leads him to believe this would not work.

You have not seen anyone wearing a barrel.

No.

If we don't actually want to leave the area so as to seem less suspicious, the we should pop a misterator, move to the side, and then move perpendicular to the crowd so as to make it seem like we were in the crowd and escaped the danger zone before everything went to shit.

Argument: We've popped mist before immediately prior to this Event (as a distraction). I feel that if we do it again it'll arouse suspicion.

If we arent leaving the area we should spend a FP to Substitute through an open window near the door and open it so this is less of a cluster fuck.

Proctors have been instructed to blame "Anyone who might be plausibly involved in the incident", so if we are present its an almost guarantee we are on the chopping block regardless of whether our henge is still up or not.

EJ's current understanding of the geometry of the situation, for reference:
So, path going from the gate to the door in a curve past the pond. Steps all along the front of the porch. Three proctors on the east end, at the top of the steps and in front of the pillars

By way of answering @Sentient Tree: while the undisguised proctors who have not dispersed to cover the grounds for recon could hypothetically all be very good at Syrup Trap, Hazou does not know any of their specialties.

Uh, can't we put flour into maceraptors or something to achieve a similar effect to smoke bombs.

We could spend a FP to make sure we have it. Though maybe something else than flour, dust explosions is not something we want.

Speaking of dust explosions, can we make a seal to do that. I don't know, maybe a maceraptor that spits out sawdust and a separate seal to provide a spark for ignition on a timer. Could be interesting if we attach it onto a kunai.

You guys have fire-log macerators for a similar purpose

(REN is asleep. Explosions go off in the distance.)

REN: (reaches for the light switch seal) I hate this fucking kid...
What makes you think Ren wasn't the one who threw the explosion, hmmm?

If someone does want to stay in the area, I might recommend changing Hazou's henge to add a visible bruise to obscure his identity as a ninja.

If I was Zabuza I would have thrown the explosion to herd the wast majority of the genin into my death trap that I just set inside the mansion so I could trigger the 4th Ninja War.

Good thing Zabuza can't harm us anymore.

Hmm, would busting through the doors be something that would help?

Make it so people aren't crushed against the wall as much?
