Pah. Orochimaru is currently playing high stakes conversation games with the Nine-Tails; he knows better than to piss me off. He's been sending me the good stuff for weeks now, because he is smart enough to realize that propitiating the Dread Lord of All with a little candy is way cheaper than having your everything eaten by rabid wombats.
Also, I find myself with a craving for candy canes, now that the holiday is over and I've eaten all of mine. :/
[X] Forget all these disloyal options and stick with Shikigami-sensei's plan
[X] Plan We Are a Team
[X] Make a sincere emotional appeal to Inoue-sensei asking that she stay.
-[1] Address Mori and Wakahisa. "Mori, Wakahisa. I am conflicted. I do not fully share Inoue-sensei's doubts in Shikigami-sensei's plan, but I also admire the advantages of going with her. Surrender to Zabuza is suicide, as is attempting any form of coup. I cannot make the decision for us, but in any case, I believe our sticking together is the most crucial thing. Discarding many jonin and chunin level allies feels unwise, but a life on the run with Inoue-sensei offers many opportunities, and an escape from certain current dangers. Please share your thoughts on this matter."
Well, it's been nice knowing you, everyone. On the bright side, this will give me back another three hours on Sundays, and too-many hours per week spent in GM chat.

There was a questionnaire I had somewhere, let me find it...
Well, here's one list (the posted information about sealing blanks explains some, but not all of it):
1) Can you seal liquids inside?
2) How much chakra does it take to seal an object inside? Does it scale with the size of a sealed object? With its weight? With both? Is sealing organic matter harder than inorganic?
3) What is the biggest thing you can seal into a scroll?
4) Does the size of the seal matter? Can you seal bigger / heavier objects into bigger seals? What about a long thin object (a shaft of a spear, for example) - can you seal it into a small seal?
5) Can you seal living objects (frogs) into sealing scrolls?
6) What are seals made of? They can be drawn - is the ink special? Are there different sealing inks? Can seals be printed? Can they be branded onto something? If a metal was worked into a form of a seal, would it be usable as a seal? What if you made a series of channel / impression in some surface in a shape of a seal - would this work? What about if you filled the channel with something? If you filled it with special ink (if it is used for seals)? What about shadows? If you made a projector that would make a shadow puppet in the form of a seal - will this work as a seal? What about light in the same shape?
7) Do seals need to be charged? If yes, does the seal need to be charged immediately after it is created? Can you make a seal and activate/charge it afterwards? Can you charge it overtime or do you need to charge it in one go?
8) Can you seal seals within seals? What about inactive seals?
9) Does time pass for a sealed object? If yes, then does it pass at the same rate as for the rest of the world?
10) When a seal is broken - what happens to the sealed matter? Does it get destroyed? Released? Released but damaged?
11) Can you bend seals (sealing scrolls)? Fold them?
12) When you unseal an object - how does it appear? Does it "rise" from the scroll / seal? Does it appear wholesale, materializing above the seal? (I think there's canon evidence for both, so there might be different types of seals)
13) If you seal something big into a scroll, then place the scroll into some confined small space that the big sealed object can't fit into and unseal the object - what happens?
14) If the sealed matter "rises" from the scrolls, how fast does it do so? What happens if it encounters an obstacle? What happens if you destroy a scroll / seal while the sealed object is not yet fully released?
15) If the sealed matter "appears" above the scroll, what happens if you seal a cage inside, place something fitting inside the cage above the scroll and do the unsealing? Does the cage appear around the object? Does it push it aside? Does it fail to appear at all (if yes, what happens if you destroy the scroll)?
16) If you seal something moving into a scroll, does the momentum get preserved? Momentum relative to what? The scroll surface during sealing? Center of the planet?
17) If living objects can be sealed inside the scrolls and time passes on the inside, can the seal be broken from inside? What does the sealed being experience when it is sealed?
18) Can storage scrolls be set to unseal on time / set to trigger on chakra pulse / set to be triggered remotely? (OOC: There is canon evidence that they can, strong one)
This leads to exploits like these (also an explanation for why I ask the questions from above):
1) Assuming gas sealing is possible:
a) Production of pressurised gases for various military and technological purposes. A very simple setup. An airtight box has a sealing scroll (tablet, coin, etc) inside. Seal is activated (via some sort of chakra conductor - remote activation from outside the scroll should be doable). The gas inside is sealed, and we have vacuum (very useful on its own for many technological purposes, such as metallurgy). The box is opened and gas flows inside. The box is then closed, and the seal is released. Total pressure increases. The seal is then activated again to store gas at a higher pressure.
b) As mentioned above, vacuum creation for various technological and warfare uses can be achieved.
2) One needs to know what happens a storage seal is destroyed:
a) If the matter inside disappears, then seals could be used for stealthy excavation, evidence disposal, garbage disposal, as cooling systems (by removing hot heatsinks from existence).
b) If the matter inside reappears destroyed (i.e. its structure destroyed), then a variety of effects could be observed based on its manner of appearance (same can be applied to matter release from scrolls in general):
ba) If it "rises" from the surface of seal, i.e. appears gradually (there is strong evidence that at least some seals work like that (see Sasori's water cutters)), then it could be used to:
baa) generate pressures, up to and including inducing inertial fusion which can be achieved if large amount of matter (water would work just fine) was to be released in a small volume of space that is hard to / impossible to destroy (expand)
bab) Generate acceleration. Depending on how quickly it rises (even if it decelerates to full stop when fully appeared), it could be used to accelerate projectiles or lift objects
bac) As ablative armor. Pretty simple idea, really. Put a seal with a cubic meter of water in front of a fireball jutsu. When the seal is destroyed, water gets released, and jutsu gets absorbed by water.
bb) If it teleports, i.e. appears all at once (the evidence for this lies in how the objects appear to be at rest after appearing):
bba) Alloy creation and chemical reaction catalyzation. Pretty straightforward.
bbb) Defence bypassing. Again, quite obvious. It doesn't matter if the enemy has armor when the spear you are screwing him with will teleport directly through it.
c) If the matter appears intact, then all the previous uses remain the same, and new ones appear, such as used for seals in construction / assembly. Also, this (and below on the same page).
3) One needs to know if unsealing matter in confined space (i.e. 2 litres of water from the seal inside a one litre bottle) is possible. If it is, then, well, see point 2, all that is possible, but can now be reusable. If it's not, then delayed seals (traps) are very viable, as are various other tricks, such as, but not limited to:
a) Effective anchors: seals on the ends of cables, unsealing only ones past narrow passages, anchoring on the other end.
b) Very effective sealants (very useful for future spaceships and generally when confinement needs to be maintained). When there's a breach of armor, seals in it (stacked perpendicular to the surface) release and fill in gaps.
4) one needs to know if seals can be puts into seals. If they can, well, regenerating ablative armor, and drastic increase in effects.
For ready made designs (reusing stuff I made for a different quest earlier); assuming some stuff:
1) Blade gloves:
Up to five different chemicals releasable under pressure (this thing should be able to withstand more than a hundred of atmospheres), with chakra-controlled nozzles (for aim and to adjust flow) + a pop-up blade + armored braces. Comes with quick and easy reloading mechanism.
2) Rocket propelled grappling hook / missile on a tether:
It has three prongs, each of which is equipped with a sharp blade about 12 cm long, and has a De Laval's nozzle for the maximum fuel efficiency. The prong itself is made from two identical but mirrored parts that are welded/stuck together. I didn't have time to draw the connecting mechanism (if not welding) or how the flexible tubing would connect to it. Assume that metal bellows are used (there are such small bellows in real life, I have worked with them)). Each prong is equipped with a stopping plank, on a spring. When the grappling hook is released from the seal, push the prongs away from the central shaft. Afterwards they prevent the prongs from closing back. Here is the drawing of the prong:
The prongs are connected by a ring. Here is the picture of three prongs on the ring:
The central shaft that makes the whole thing aerodynamic look like this:
To control the direction of the flight of the hook I was thinking about controlling the flow of gas through each of the three tubes. Run three thin wires through the cable and connect them to the tubes - direct the throughput of each with chakra. Something along the lines of puppetry, only with real wires relaying the signals (thus lessening the need for chakra control / chakra consumption).
When assembled, the grappling hook weighs around 1.5 kilos (Assuming everything is made form solid construction grade steel). In closed form (with prongs closed) it looks like this::
Do I need to explain how this works? Ok, the simple idea is this:
1) We make laminated sealing scrolls (to add springiness and hardness to the paper) on perforated paper (so they tear off the roll one by one). Each strip of paper is numbered and have some area we can write on to mark it. We seal them into a sealing cartridge.
2) We release them one by one (from the bottom of the scroll player). They go to the right (they move counter-clockwise in the player), being pulled by the high friction roller and the expendable spikes (they fit into perforation on the paper, they extended via seals).
3) When we need a scroll, we play them back. We don't seal them back in (it's impossible since they are full), we wind them around the right roller (like they are winded around the left roller normally).
4) Empty scrolls are either discarded or pushed back into the seal (if we can get the seal that can hold multiple separate objects working).
Basically? Space travel should be relatively easy to achieve in Narutoverse with (not so) basic storage seals, and research. And space is the ultimate high ground.

Good point. We need to either experiment on our own (Bad Idea) or find a seal master willing to reach us. Also should decide whether to give Mori a Sealing boost.
On another point, maybe we should revisit the weapons discussion for Hazou while we wait. His Encoded Programs would be amazing if he picked up some technique-rich weapon style that doesn't solely depend on strength or speed. Single-handed rapier type weapon sounds great. We don't really use hand seals much anyway.
