We need to make very good use of the two turn grace period to prepare a successful Nemesis Action against the Blot, as it is in our best interest to remove him as soon as possible, so that he causes use as little trouble as possible.

I think it would be funny if, after their first clash with Russ, the Blot drops in for a nice brunch with Doof.

No, I mean it. Just a nice brunch.

There are paralles with the Toon Force and with the Mysterious Force.

Part of me would like for LA to be a... canvas again, though I admit I've not got any good jokes in mind for it atm.

Revenge. Agree with the Blot to send Russ to LA as a measure of revenge against Doom for being boring (and small e, evil)

...You know what I just remembered? We have someone else besides Wile E. in our Employ who could help Russ against the Phantom Blot: Goofy!
After all, Goofy has plenty of Experience against this Guy. He and Mickey fought him together VERY often.
For that matter, I wonder what Goofy's Reaction is gonna be to PB reappearing and preparing to move his Actions to our Territory.

Hmm... we had that company retreat a few turns ago.

Wonder if we could do something similar except instead of letting everyone relax its getting everyone up to speed on all the threats and getting ready for trouble or somesuch.

I dont know if this has been answerd befire but how much bearing does the disney canon that exist outside of Gridlocked have on this setting?
Is there a lost empire under the sea? Opar in the jungle? A magic mirror etc...

It's been answered many times. None, those are in non Gridlocked DVV. This quest has zero, zippo, nada. Maybe, at best, a reference, if the QM feels it's funny.

Someone needs to make a negaverse Doom omake based on this.
I have been summoned.

Russ has a nemesis... I feel something inside of me. It's a warm, bubbly feeling, rising like a geyser from my stomach up through my body, making me feel... content. Is this... pride?

On another note, Phantom Blot! Disappointing we can't have him as a hero unit, but I'll take what we can get. A bit nervous about using Doofania as a battleground... eh, so a few more explosions will happen then usual, it should be fine. Besides, as long as we keep throwing Russ at Blot every few turns, he shouldn't become too persistent of a problem and we can avoid any maluses on national actions. Also, other toons joining in would make this experience all the more wholesome. (On a related note, I fully support including Goofy and/or Wile on this, as well as recruiting Mickey to help us out.)

Another benefit: Doom has turned into an action sink when, as has been pointed out, he's a bit outdated. Blot may be the Kryptonite bullet we need to more seriously cripple Doom.
I'm sorry and I'll try to reign it in for seemingly minor things like P&F failing their roll but for pretty major things like this I'm going to do things like this

Partially because I do think at least some of my complains are valid but also because venting about this stuff let's me get it off my chest and allows me to calm down and get back to actually contributing far quicker than if I just stewed in my negative feelings
Here's a tip: whenever you feel like you need to rant, install at the top of the post something like: "Warning: Rant ahead. Skip if you do not want to listen to angry ranting."

Personally, I'm just excited to have an enemy on our plate who doesn't want to commit warcrimes or destroy the world. This one'll be fun!

He's 1000% going to jailbreak Inquinator at some point, but I just don't have it in me to get worried about that. If nothing else, it might lead to a simple Martial challenge we could throw Hego out, which is fine by me. Let my precious boy Hego have his Golden Age fight.

Plus, while the Blot's stat-block may be spooky, a number of people have noted that we are uniquely well positioned to fight Blot, and boy are they right. Hypothetically, if we had a national Intrigue action to uncover the lair of the Phantom Blot, and we assigned Russ and Wile E. through the His White Roadrunner trait, we would be rolling with a:
14 (Doof Intrigue) + 38 (Russ Intrigue) + 3 (Russ Loyalty) + 5 (Secret Keeper) + 10 (Tooned In) + 26 (His White Roadrunner, Intrigue) + 10 (XP) = +106 (And maybe a little extra for Wile E.'s Loyalty, not sure if that's included.)

The Blot, for reference, rolled at a +85 this turn.

We won't always be able to stack every single bonus against him like that, but in a fight against a Toon Supervillain Nemesis in our own territory? If he's looking for a worthy challenge, we can actually give him one. And isn't that the secret to any healthy nemesis-nemesis relationship?

Does anyone have an example for when Doom made a diplomacy check? I need both his stat for it as well as the modifiers

Decent Success

Doom has successfully warmed up the higher-ups of Bakaemono to his large-scale projects. He should have no problems getting the parts he needs for further Cog production
I think this should be one?

I have mixed reactions wihth the phantom blot here. he is....Very evil, but he is not interested on us... He just want to be Russ nemesis...

I feel like another king just moved in.... and he is not interested in playing the game. Just his game. Blot game.
You know, we could make a TV Show called Russ & Blot. Just have a camera drone follow Russ around, we edit the takes later. Russ would love being in a toon show, and the Blot would love the popularity.
