While P&F failing was a surprise but buying Lee Industries has become a surprising feather in our cap since it offset the loss changing Insuricare cost us. We'll probably just have to focus on dinosaur stuff for money next turn.

Hego, LOVEMUFFIN, and Tobe all did a great job this turn. Hego and his do-gooder Dinosaur Mounties...inspired. And Lee Industries brought along some juicy stuff!

Our personal actions weren't exactly the best and I am....concerned about Dennis' roll. Oh and Phineas and Ferb let us down.

Really we should have seen this coming. What happens in every episode of the show? Something goes wrong with an Inator, causing the boys' project to get wiped away. Every time. We should have known.
 
Lizzy set about working on the programs for the doppelganger AIs you stole from the Sands Gala, and you discovered something… interesting. And by interesting, you mean infuriating. Despite following the plans and compiling the data successfully, the resulting bots were nowhere near the level that Sinatron was! In some ways they were better than Norm Prime, but in others, even he seemed to have them beat. Clearly, there's something you're missing. They were still leaps and bounds above your current AIs, and they're certainly going to be useful, but there was always something that held them back from the sort of fully autonomous, emotive intelligence you saw displayed at the Sands. You just don't understand, the code is the same in every way!

When you tried to put them into isolated systems to see if they would do better without having to run actual hardware, you were surprised to find that it made them even worse! In a relative sense, of course, but for some reason the mere act of putting the adaptive AI protocols into a specific physical chassis rather than keeping them purely digital seemed to improve their responses.

You now have the means to make highly convincing physical robots to masquerade as other people. Very useful. But the vexing uncertainty of just what is missing dogs you! You must crack this somehow, you must!

That honestly sounds like a hardware issue to me. Maybe we need some very specialized systems to run the code at its full potential?
 
So that translator...that wouldn't happen to maybe help with communication with a certain Miss Flugel now would it?

Overall I'm pretty happy with this. There was a lot I was worried about with this plan and I'm glad it worked out but for the one failure.

We've had a few really good rounds. I guess we were due for a loss somewhere.

Three. We are only miss this by Three. So close yet still out of reach. The Inator fail is just the cruel feet of fate that stomps on our already dying hand. Truly the Dice Gods are feeling very petty today. 🌧😔

Info on the GalFed's computers could be nice but I'd worry it'd open them to Earth's weird cyberspace ness.

Though if they already have something like that going on and it's not just an Earth thing (much like toons) I'd still wouldn't be too hot on it because it might attract their attention too much.

Like 'Where are the protected species getting GalFed tech from?!' kind of attention. Though it'd probably lower the DC of the new research stuff.

Unless there's some other rule I'm missing, isn't this a Bare Failure -> Failure? P&F's trait mentions that Bare Failure doesn't reduce DC, but that doesn't negate the existence of Bare Failures entirely, does it?

a 2 leading to success? Or is this a case of Dennis 'succeeding' but not getting anything out of the action? I think I remember it mentioned that a low Personal Action roll cant be that bad.

This does not mention that P&F cause Bare Failures to never happen, only that Bare Failures don't reduce DC.
