So. Gantu found out what was going on. And was unable to free the captives. He was also able to infer that the greater population is unaware of what is actually happening. That paints a bad picture for the number of captives and the capability to transport them easily.

I'm a little surprised that George was merely exiled rather than disappeared.

We already had a long time to talk about buying the lazor due to waiting for the card reading. About everyone wants to buy it. May not use it right away but we want it.

I'm not sure what ticks me off more. Them being fully willing to have him die by exposure or that they didnt just make sure he was dead in the first place.

If this is what stands between your society falling apart and not you shouldn't take any risks.

...Besides, you're killing them either way, better to make it quick and relatively merciful.

Emotion is ... a more primitive fuel source than fossil fuels?

Huh.

Huh.
I mean, hard to get more primitive then kidnapping children and forcing them to live in fear to power you're society.

It'd be one thing if they were just sticking emotion collectors in movie theaters and letting them absorb ambient stuff, but their actively terrifying children to power their homes. That's messed up.

Burning some oil or whatever is a million times more civilized then literally powering you're society by non-consensual terror of minors.

The light you seek shall not be found
So... does this mean that no matter what we do we won't be able to find Star?

Because it would be very annoying to spend actions seeking her out just to be told "Nope, it was never going to work because the reading said so"

From the rest of the prophecy what I'm getting is that some point in the next year someone, presumably Demona, is going to carry out a plan which will fail but break the Masquerade around magic as a result and then she'll come up with another plan which involves Star

That sound about right?

Bruh.

We could also us Hego, but I think we'll want him on Stewardship.

Khan knows the language, and also nothing of the history of the world for the last 800 years. I expect Ludivine to have better odds actually getting anything out of ancient maps of global networks or recognizing ancient clans or anything like that.

Or just for normal Learning check things.

A good Inator is a good Inator, but a Mystery-Inator could be anything! It could even be a good Inator!

We already have a list of locations from SheldrakWe already have a list of locations from Feldrake. We don't need her here we need her doing science or putting together the Dino calvery

While you aren't wrong by any means whatsoever, something about the way Gantu phrased it ... it felt more like him looking down at the monsters' tech level, as opposed to their morality level, which was a separate issue he also looked down on them for. 'Course, that's just my reading.

I'm not sure what surprises me more: Gantu charged in and left almost without any sort of repercussions, or that Waternoose still has his arms attached and that Gantu did nothing. This does not bode well. At all.

"I said I quit! I've had it up to here with the way you treat your workers! Overtime shifts with no extra pay, calling us in on holidays, no time off in the last two years!"

"My boy, the economy needs-"

George told Mr. Waternoose exactly what he could do with the economy, and got so caught up in his own ranting that he continued on for a good five minutes more. He aired his grievances with everything from the lack of healthcare to the low quality of toilet paper in the bathrooms, and how they never managed to stock durian juice in the vending machines!

"...and I can't take it anymore!

It's a sad day when we have better benefits than the otherworldly monsters in our closet.

Baljeet has shown that unionization is a clear threat to Monster, Inc.

So all we need is a intrigue+stewardship hero unit to infiltrate about a week before we start punching things openly. Then they're facing a three pronged attack (employees, customers, us).
