AHHHHHHHHHHH!

[x] The On-Ice-inator! Doofenshmirtz cryogenically freezes himself for two months as a proof of concept. Next turn, Mirage is in charge of DEI! King stats and National Actions will be changed to reflect this!

Yeah, but at least Mirage has a high Intrigue, and...What? I don't grasp your meaning here.
We know that some actions are not going to happen because they are not possible. Of the actions we know ARE possible, there's galfed computers, because the computers will still exist (some have suggested that the data may be deleted, I don't think that's likely), and coven, because we know we lowered the DC. the stuff we don't know the status of is the DoI, and the Find kat actions. Both of those are intrigue. If we have two less intrigue, Doof's higher learning is more important.

We don't actually know that the actions are not going to be available, its just the wording of the experiment to not leave holes in case the action disappears.
All 4 actions will probably be available next turn

That makes sense... I'm going to risk it

[X] The Duplicatinator! This inator replicates the effect of the last five inators rolled, all at once!

The lightsaber-inator
One of your heroes' hands is replaced with a robotic prosthetic filled with neat ACME gadgets. They really should know better than to play with lightsabers.

Remember with the Duplicatinator a failure would be a crit fail for any of the actions so the chance of crit fail, specially if the DC increases is way higher with Doof than Mirage
Same for Coyote and Monogram if their action is still available
Alan already critfailed this action. As long as he doesn't manage to actively harm our real-world assets by tinkering with code, the difference between him failing it again (with Mirage) and him crit-failing it again (with Doof) is basically irrelevant, he can't really do any more damage. At least under the probabilinator, he might have a chance to salvage it.

Monobrow's action is almost certainly scrapped because he botched it bad enough to get caught, and Wiley's action... Even if it doesn't get scrapped, it doesn't look like he can succeed even with Mirage's modest +12 anyways. If he crit-fails, at least he's got Rubberhose, so he'll be fine.

At this point, it's a matter of nabbing as many crit-successes as we can (Gomez, possibly Alan, hopefully every other action), so at least we get some good with the bad. We'll never make it far if we're perpetually working not to lose instead of actually trying to win.

Just in case Monogram is repeating.

Can we handle everyone knowing about the super-probability-inator?

Info available in universe to everyone:
  • Doof does not do repeat inators
  • Doof's employees wore bad vests awhile back
  • Danville had meat rain from the sky recently
  • Things went extremly well/poorly back in Jan/Feb
If people see the meat and vests again, it's not to large a leap of logic to determine that the repeat and chaos is also DEI's fault. And of course Xanatos and Shego are able to tattle on us to their friends.

So, I did some math.

Monogram needs a 62 to make his action assuming XP is spent and we're using Mirage. That's kinda bad right? But for people who WANT Mirage?

[ ] Potion of Invisibility
Single use. The target gains +10 to a single national action where Stealth would be useful.

That knocks that roll needed to meet the DC down to 52. About a coin flip, more or less. assuming the action still happens of course. And that the DC didn't WILDLY increase as a result of the "Unmitigated Critical Failure!"

Personally I'm not gonna take that bet.

I don't think Inator rolls are public, and we have already been told that we won't be hit by added negatives from an Inator without being told first.

And what? They didn't actually complain the first time, and it's not like we owe them explanations. If anything, fucking with probability again is likely to make people less likely to attack Doof, rather than more.

Point of order, would this even apply to an action that is essentially about hacking?

We have been told that Inators won't cause any effects not listed in the Inator unless the QMs tell us first. PR hits were specifically called out. It's not gonna affect people's opinions of us.

The Doofania ilum-inator - Isn't it annoying when
it is dark and you can't see? This inator makes it so that Doofania is always well lit at night. It saves energy because street lamps no longer need to run. Good for agriculture. Bad for astronomy.

The Doofania delum-inator - Isn't it annoying when you wake up and the sun glares at your eyes from the window? This inator darkens the day in Doofania so it is like night. Increases energy used for electrical lighting.

If both effects are rolled then Doofania's day-night cycle is effectively inverted and the borders of the effect are under perpetual twilight.

@Arathnorn

BEHOLD! The Drusselstein-inator.
Your recent encounter with your homeland left you bruised and battered, and that made you think "What if this could be weaponized!" So you put Norm on it. That was probably a mistake. Now, you have a ray gun that will convince any King you target that they are in Drusselstein for the next 2 months. This can only be used once, so choose wisely.
Choose a target king. They are convinced for the next 2 months that they are trapped in Drusselstein and will take any and every action necessary to get out.

BEHOLD: The Chaos Reducinator!

Ever since LOVEMUFFIN tried to destroy Doofania, and several therapy sessions with Technor, you've been thinking. Maybe chaos isn't the best thing for you when ruling the Tri-State Area. Clearly, there is only ONE Solution.

Good: The next 2d4 natural 1 rolls on national actions will become 2s.
Bad: The next 2d4 natural 100 rolls on national actions will become 99s.

Natural ones REALLY drive me nuts, and getting rid of them for a time would be a great benefit. Would make planning a bit easier, and eliminating the 1% chance of failing no matter what would be really nice. The exchange of losing the exploding 100s honestly doesn't seem like too much of a price to pay, especially since it doesn't benefit us too much, since we generally aim to succeed, and don't bet on a long shot.

Really holding out for the On-Ice-inator. I feel it becoming the MirageQuest would pay off better in the long run to allowing complete chaos that the Duplicatinator would bring. I don't know, I don't think us risking a bare failure becoming a critical failure is worth it in the end.
