For specifics: The Rising of the Shield Hero is the source. Very good show, but be warned: The feelings will hit like a Mack Truck, this isekai gets deliciously DARK.
Maybe bring this into private messages?
Feel free not to include me in that, as I read only part of the manga a while back, and stopped reading when the bird goddess came out of nowhere like the Koolaid Man.

The Rising of the Shield Hero isn't Disney (or as Mace Windu would say, "Not yet"), so talking about it in this thread is derailing.

Ninja'd.

Edit:

I mean, could we not talk about "My Isekai Adventure: Slavery is good, actually?"

While I will say that if you're saying this from limited knowledge, you're practically trying
to get a flame war started, and if you're saying it from in-depth knowledge, you're correct, this sort of thing starts flame wars, which is a bit of a hypocritical thing to do when you're saying something is derailing.

So in a desperate attempt to.change the subject to.something more thread friendly...If we do manage to figure out how to give superpowers reliably, are there any things we might want in particular? I've read in a few places that plant powers might be good for agriculture, for example.

I have a few evil plans in particular with plant powers, some of which involve trolling places we have yet to know IC.

Psychic powers are godly.

Techno-organic adaptive powers. The ability to copy technology one sees, making it a part of your own biology.

Point that at our Inators and the Quest ends.

Even if he absolutely loves working for DEI why would he tell us about his superhero gig? We're aren't his fiance. We are his employer and his personal secrets aren't really relevant to the job of researching stuff. We'd need to actually recruit other members of BH6 in a martial role before it becomes relevant.
Not really a supporter of remaking BG6. I feel dealing with the individuals (in the sense of managing their potential traits/personalities, not in the sense that I don't like them) is too annoying, and getting all the members together is too much effort. That said, I'm fairly certain it being implicitly confirmed that it is indeed a possibility at all kinda implies the QM would very likely give us some leeway for ways to find out about Wasabi having a short stint (like, a week or so at best) of being a superhero rather than making us wait until we get every single member to learn it.
Wait, brain blast! I figured out who Tobe's date is going to be!

NEGAVERSE PUCCA :ogles:
Didn't she already marry Garu? I thought that was the implication in the tarot reading that said Tobe had to find true love.

Edit: Yep. Says so right here:

"I'm afraid so. The only other possible interpretation of this configuration would be that some sort of unreasonably powerful feminine figure is currently living with your former rival as the finale of some sort of amusing comedy of errors."

"AAAaaaagh!" Tobe broke down crying. "It's true, It's TrUUuuuhuhuhuuuuu! Garu… settled down! Now that he's with Pucca, he doesn't want to fight me anymore! I have no eternal rival! I am ruuuuuhuhuderlehehesssssss!"

There's this planning power from, I think, PS238, in which the wielder basically has a second subconscious that constantly makes plans for various bad things, such as bringing an umbrella when it rains or preping for various forms of alien invasions.

Put that on someone like Mirage, and we'll have a budget Contessa.

So, if we master Superpower Genetics, here's my thought process:
Genetics --> Super Power Genetics --> AI Dopplegangers --> Profile Norm ---> Transfer Norm into an AI duplicate --> Use our Genetics knowledge to add human organs and parts turning him into a cyborg --> slowly replace his robot parts with human parts until he's a real boy! --> Give Norm Squirrel Powers, so that he can still be squirrel powered! ---> Profit!

Speaking of genetics, I have a quick question. How come most of the thread talk regarding getting rid of Jumba's "Hungry for Science" bit has been through using his personal action for chaotic invention instead of putting him on Human Genetics? Is there something I am missing about that?

Because personal actions don't take up National Actions, and we're still not sure if we want to start genetics next turn because of everything else on our plates. In the mean time, his personal action gets rid of Hungry for Science while leaving our national Learning actions open next turn.

There was the pattern recognition power, but that kid had to basically live in a white room or he seizured, there were also various stripes of super-geniuses, but nothing that can really be classified as "super planning"

Gotcha. Thanks for the quick answer.
Who's been saying that?

The only stuff about jumba I've seen is large herbivores vs human genetics.
It's one of those things that has been stretched out over a hundred or two pages. Talking about Jumba in general isn't that big a topic compared to other things, but the topic of interest when he is central has seemingly usually been about how good or bad his Personal could be for satisfying his bit of being bored.

It's in the PS238 Jumpchain, called "Always a Plan Ahead".

It might describe the abilities of someone that doesn't have powers, or might just be fan-made.

If we do manage to figure out how to give superpowers reliably, are there any things we might want in particular?

Made a list of powers for our current Hero Units:

Doof - Spontaneous Combustion

Goof - Super Goof

L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N. - No

Monogram - Wall stick for acrobatics

Wile E. - Slow Motion on himself

Khan - redundant

Russ - Hammerspace

Norm Prime - Squirle girl package (got Tobe'd while making this)

Hego - Shove the rest of Team Go into his genes

Dennis - Thermal Manipulation for grilling

Technor - Geokinesis (Drywall repair)

Max - Randomizer

Mirage - Intangibility

Vanessa - Gorgon

Janna - Finger-print manipulation

Jumba - He'll do it himself

Ludivine - Accelerated Perception?

Lizzy - I know the best fit but I don't want to deal with that.

Tobe & co. - Shadow clones?

P&F - Bulgarian folk dancing

Janus Lee - I want him to be a dragon instead of lizard

Kitsune - Pyrokinesis

Wendy W. - Blue-Tooth

Alan - EMP?

Roddy - Geokinesis

Tom - He's good as is.

Or, we could just hire Milo Murphy? He already has that power innately. Through training. And experience. Lots and lots of experience.

Well, size shifting would be a good martial/intrigue power and Voyd showed us that a skilled portalist is busted af. Other than that I'd like to see what self-duplication does

Pucca married Garu, duh. But NEGAVERSE PUCCA is entirely unknown on her relationship status.

To clarify, a traditional in-universe Negaverse is a parallel world where everyone switches moral ideologies. Darkwing Duck becomes Negaduck, Shego becomes the only good member of Team Go, that sort of thing.

I was halfway though the thought of "Is cyberspace really as high a priority as we're making it out to be?" before I remembered there are two territories w/ future robots.

Don't matter how much we diminish ENCOM's market-share, if the MCP hacks into Tempest we are dead.
