You're lucky I was reading the thread. Verloren indeed.@verloren would it be possible to humbly request another half day or so to adjust the plan based on the information we just received?
Thank you very, very much! You're lucky I was reading the thread. Verloren indeed.

WE'RE ALL GONNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE–they are intelligent they are sapient they are plotting they are going to herd all the dangerous chakra beasts to us and cause a stampede and pin us down deep within the cave and then drain us to death one by one while we can't escape too distracted to notice this was all a–

@Paperclipped @Velorien @eaglejarlThe Vampiric Attunement bonus on MedNin rolls is increased from +½ AB to +2*AB. This bonus can be passed to another medic
Massive edits to the plan in light of recent revelations about the continued existence of the chakravores[x] Action Plan: Another Golem's Den?
Word Count: <299
- Dispel
- Sanity-check with the team.
- Secure the pool, close off deeper tunnels with MEW, and set up a trap perimeter
- Search for any chakravores in the grotto. They're still at large.
- Noburi, see if there's anything in the water -- be thorough, take your time.
- Avoid using ES to study the grotto lest we trigger something golem-like.
- Examine the crystals -- are they functional PS substrate?
- Use chakrascope and MS8, any similarity to the Honey crystals?
- Are the seals burning up like they did in the Honey cave?
- Test chakra adhesion/repulsion, any difficulty?
- Grab samples -- ideally broken off already, to test ES on later.
- Once the grotto is cleared, the research team (Noburi, Hazou, Kagome) using Vampiric Dew, chakrascope and MS8...
- Examine everyone's chakra system and chakra regeneration, before/during/after they enter the pool.
- Noburi goes in last, he should first discern if the pool would have a deleterious effect on his chakra system
- Test if using the pool water in Noburi's barrel has any effect. Be careful of bloodline interactions here.
- Does Noburi think he could replicate the effects of the pool with his bloodline/medical ninjutsu?
- If the water is determined to be non-chakra containing, store some for later.
- After everyone has had the chakra pool effect applied, continue hunting down the chakravores.
- Everyone be on high alert concerning your chakra reserves
- The drain looked to be short range (1 Zone), so if you feel your reserves dropping, Substitute away
- Engage the chakravores with RW, MW and Taijutsu only, no ninjutsu.
- Although enhancements like CotWG and SotS should be okay to use.
- Noburi should focus on activating more misterators, detecting more foes, and wresting any drained chakra back from the chakravores.
- Any regular beasts can be engaged with mist drain.
I would suggest applying it to only half the team. Just in case it causes some sort of weakness.
How about having them test if there's any weakness resulting from the effect? What are we expecting here? Like something only the chakravores can hit?I would suggest applying it to only half the team. Just in case it causes some sort of weakness.
I could easily see how a phenomenon that makes our chakra substantially more efficient could interfere with our ability to cast or chakra boost until we had time to adapt. What are we expecting here? Like something only the chakravores can hit?
Wouldn't Orochimaru have noted that?I could easily see how a phenomenon that makes our chakra substantially more efficient could interfere with our ability to cast or chakra boost until we had time to adapt.
@Velorien @eaglejarl @Paperclipped would that make sense in-character or does chakra not work like that?
It might not have made a difference to someone with his shaping skills, or it might be something you get over quick enough that it wasn't worth noting. I can think of a bunch of reasons why it wouldn't be noted.
Alright even more edits made, the chakra science has been cut from the plan and it now focuses on exterminating the chakravores entirely.[x] Action Plan: Another Golem's Den?

Orochimaru has Orochimaru biology, and also he visited this cave years ago, and also there's a sliver of possibility that he lied to us for some reason. For all we know, the cave water is currently full of poison (edit: actually that'd be excellent; poison potent enough to affect ninja? hell yes).

I don't think any of this is likely, but it just seems prudent not to immediately feed the entire team some weird substance we found, even if a credible source claims its effects are purely positive.
It'd be worth it if we needed every edge in combat we can get, but we don't, do we?
Mari and Yuno have damaged chakra coils (OOC: Medium Consequence) but are recovering quickly with Noburi care and should be fine in a few days. The full team is here with you.Massive edits to the plan in light of recent revelations about the continued existence of the chakravores
@eaglejarl @Velorien @Paperclipped
Any word on Mari/Yuno's injured/uninjured status? What about total numbers of party members in the grotto? Yuno at least accompanied us down there.
Chakra boost is extremely simple from a user perspective and will probably be fine. HDK about casting.I could easily see how a phenomenon that makes our chakra substantially more efficient could interfere with our ability to cast or chakra boost until we had time to adapt.
@Velorien @eaglejarl @Paperclipped would that make sense in-character or does chakra not work like that?
This feels like information I'd have like during planmaking. Ah well, it's not like I had much time to participate anyway.
Yeah, all three of us have been either away or low spoons for a couple days.Doesn't matter now, I guess. Although I echo the concerns of my fellow posters. Wtf
