Did we end up deciding who is going to teach sealing to the Hagoromo student?
I was under the impression that the only two currently available teachers were Hazou and Kagome and since the Hagoromo will do their level best to set Kagome off in an effort to get us killed that really only leaves Hazou.

Has the Yamanaka technique, plus a couple other stunts (including a proposed almost-fighting-style).

Haru is not eligible for a fighting style aside from Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough, as he lacks any particular advantage over the average ninja aside from the Pangolin Conditioning Jutsu.

[X] Training Hazou: Yamanaka Resolve

Haru is not eligible for a fighting style aside from Youthful Fist of the Mythological Beast That is Really Strong and Tough, as he lacks any particular advantage over the average ninja aside from the Pangolin Conditioning Jutsu.

It's not a fighting style because:
  • It requires part of your action economy, needing a Supplemental.
  • It only works once per encounter, on one enemy.
  • It doesn't give you +AB on your roll to activate it.
It's considerably weaker than a true fighting style (which is reasonable, since as you say Haru has no special advantage), but is still a neat trick that brings mechanics in line with fluff.

[X] Action Plan: CHAOS Control

Something I noticed (a bit late, sorry) is that Hazou's clones only last one hour now, so 'one clone spend a few hours with the skyslider team' doesn't fully work out properly.

"Did you decontaminate the specimen before removing it from the controlled environment?"

"I'm not familiar with the term," Hazō said warily.

"No matter," Orochimaru said lightly. "We can consider it a test of leadership for the boy in the tower."

Hazō could feel himself starting to sweat.

"What is decontamination?" he asked.

"The process of purifying someone or something of potential corruption," Orochimaru said, absent-mindedly scritching the octocat behind the anterior tentacles, "lest the taint adversely affect the surrounding environment or those within it, or interfere with measurement accuracy. Failure to properly decontaminate a specimen is the second most frequent cause of death for chakra beast researchers."

"What's the first?" Hazō asked despite himself.

"Chakra beasts."

I mean... Do we doubt that she could if she put effort/thought into it? I, personally, believe that to be, while not in character or plausible, entirely possible/within her power.

Absolutely, love isn't a magic brainwashing power and Naruto is not an idiot. Not only it's blatantly obvious what Ami would want from an S-ranker, Naruto was also trained by Jiraiya and Hiruzen to become the Hokage one day. Especially when Ami biggest flaw is the fact that she is subtle as a hammer on what she is.

By the way, something that I just noticed a couple days ago is that the Yamanaka Training Jutsu, taking 20 CP away from the available pool on a given day, would interfere with the max number of Shadow Clones a person can summon.

Currently Hazou has CR 26, Keiko has CR 27, and Akane has CR 30, enough for 4, 4, and 5 clones respectively. However, with the YTJ penalty in effect, they have effective CRs of 24, 25, and 28, enough for 3, 3, and 5 respectively.

The reason why this is a bit of a problem is that Keiko has the Resolve to do training with 4 clones, and so that's what we've been having her do, but she doesn't have the CR for 4 clones and the YTJ at the same time.

There are a few possible solutions to this:
  1. Assume some small amount of chakra purchasing/donation is going on, so that after Keiko goes from full to empty she gets refilled enough to use TYJ for that day.
  2. Assume Keiko has not been using YTJ and scrub those XP payouts from her sheet.
  3. Assume Keiko has not been using 4 clones and scale back her XP payouts.
  4. We vote in one level of CR for Keiko and it is back-dated fluff-wise so that we can say she always had CR 28 for the 4-clone YTJ days.
  5. We grandfather the situation in for now but once we resume a valid state of affairs we're locked into staying within the actual parameters.
  6. We grandfather in all past payments but from this moment on insist that Keiko follow valid parameters.
For now I'll keep going as-is but once a decision is reached I can help figure out any changes that might need to be made, depending on the option chosen. The situation is sort of stable without a ruling, though, since between the various possible explanations there's more than enough room to imagine the situation making sense, so there's no need to feel pressured about this.

I think Noburi can just refill us? If we go on some mission without him, then we might want to not use the technique.

I don't think Noburi's been sent on any missions, so I think that number 1 would be the most expedient solution. However, number 4 might be the most "rule abiding" solution. Guess it depends on what the QMs rule?
