On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

it IS a pole-axe. It is also a hand-axe and a great-axe depending on Skarri's wishes.
Hmm, Rune of Shifting Steel, for one. Not sure about which other Runes he uses on the weapon. Maybe Rune of Morgrim?

Good for him tho.

As for Karstah... yeah, good for her to expand on her specialties too. Also, jokes on Bara, she'll be indebted to us once we crack Windsight!

they're actually talented enough that they'd be an interesting conversation even if I have no intent to go beyond a working relationship with them."

"Oh, that's the worst sort," Karstah concludes with a knowing nod, "A mouth with a brain to back it up. I don't think I could go a day without punching that kind of man."

She doesn't mind doing it, partly because the Brotherhood members often bring gifts, and more so because she doesn't have to worry about tip-toeing around the existence of Adamant with them,

Seems to me that Karstah, if she ever finds love and marries would have several requirements

1. Is someone whose character and nature is intelligent and thoughtful, and careful in speech.

2. Is someone Karstah can build a strong working relationship well with enough talent to be worth her consideration.

3. Is likely someone Karstah doesn't have to tip toe around and can speak in trust to regarding certain secrets, most prominently Adamant.

Odds seems likely to me that Karstah, if she finds someone would likely be a fellow Junior member of the Brotherhood of Dron in the South, that she is likely currently pen pals with, of the right character and a strong history of working relationships with.

[X] [Rune:] Rune of Stonemass [Weapon]: Inscribed upon item is heavier for anyone that isn't owner
[X] [Rune:] Rune of Shifting Steel [Weapon]: Allows weapon to transform into another tool/weapon of similar size and mass
[X] [Lesson:] Armour: Improve specialty Armour Runes

[X] [Rune:] Rune of Charcoal [Structural]: Removes mundane impurities from metal in forges inscribed with or within rooms incribed with this Rune
[X] [Rune:] Rune of Tin [Structural]: Structures and rooms bearing this Rune have metal being worked on within made more malleable

I have seen Laag argument for Rune of Tin, and Mallebility manipulation seems to be a very interesting direction. So I am approval voting this, because it probably opens interesting doors to material science research for Karstah.

I had this funny thought about what happen if the ancestor gods could speak to Snorri.

Gazul/Grimnir/Thungni: You have the right idea kid but you are too eager with your goals, but at least you is able to pull it off up until now.

Valaya:

WAZOK!

I'm pretty sure if we don't do something to advance the Ancestor God quest soon Yorri is just going to kidnap us to remove the choice. Or die of a mixture of fury and confusion.

He is right that there will always be something else to do though.

Specialties are harder to raise than traits. I'm going for the forging runes but any of them are a good choice imo.

I want to take note of this from the turn update:

The Rune of Shifting Steel and Rune of Binding Form are making the rounds thanks to that one Drazh Runesmith

Rune of Shifting Steel is apparently spreading across the Khazagar right now, so its quite possible that this is not the only opportunity for Karstah to learn this.

Let Karstah be the one that make the Ultima gronti.

thank god.

because the lack of dwarf pollaxes is something that has always annoyed me - it's the *ideal* dwarf weapon. It's got a pointy bit, a crushy bit and a slashy bit and it actually is long enough to make up for the height difference. It opens tin cans, armoured enemies and dragons with equal aplomb... and canonically it gets completely ignored.
