On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

[X] My Home: The smell of baking stone bread, the cheer of dwarfs working hard and coming together. It is what pushes you forward. Great weapons to arm them, great armour to gird them, great knowledge to teach them, great stories to tell them. The reason no elder will ever tell their juniors why they tolerate their faffing nonsense.

Wow, having a vote about family on here being a landslide, what a shocking result....

[X] My Work: You cannot deny there is a thrill to being a Runelord, to the crafting to the research to the simple act of teaching. There is always more to learn, to explore and discover and pass on. Every experience, every action is always ripe for opportunities to improve and discover. If you could help it, you'd be learning and exploring until the world itself came undone.

I am surprised we didn't get any good items from our kills this year.

Considering we are already going to be commisioned to make the sets of Armor, I think the 2 cloaks and the trinket are a good use of our apprentice action. Just thematically, I mean. I am aware we can't have her do more than half the actions of a commission, but I just like the idea.

No can do, boss. The special commissions would be difficult requests, and apprentice actions can only go into simple ones.

These commissions may be a good time to explore not inputting the rune choice directly. We've gotten too into the mindset of using known runes from the army books or rune list as opposed to going with the idea of "there's a rune for that" for the no doubt countless myriad lesser runes that aren't in the army books.

Eh, the real benefit is from traits, connections, and observing the works of our fellows and superiors for insight, epiphanies, and ideas.
