On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

As a Runelord combines the roles of master craftsman, high priest, and guildmaster, technical skill seems likely to be a necessary but not sufficient qualification to be recognised by your peers as being fit for promotion.

There could be a lot of master runesmiths with equal crafting skill to Runelords that have neither the inclination or the ability to take on the sacred or temporal responsibilities that come with being one. Some Runelords may prove to be derelict of those duties after their elevation, but that's probably something that the existing Runelords try to watch out for in potential candidates to avoid.

[X]Find out the dark secret of Yorri, once and for all. Get to the bottom of the mine shaft, no matter how deep. Leave no stone unturned (and for Dawi, that's a lot of stones indeed). (Cost: 20 actions) Journeyman of the Odd will proc.

This is not something soulcake ever said, but there are some hints sprinkled throughout the story that we get to go to Yorri's secret hideout once we finish all the locations of his journal.
durning incurion he says this to us
I spend half a century waiting in the woods for you to figure out the clues I left in my journal and find me

So Edit(it probable) something waiting for us their, either way the sooner we find out the better

Snorri is a special case.

Just because there is one ancient being present who predates the entire country does not invalidate your countries tax claims.

If anything, his friendship and cooperation proves you are doing something right.

Or at least that is where we will be at in a generation or two.

I think that was the clues to his location. The amount of effort he's put into erasing his history is a pretty clear indication that he doesn't want anyone to know that, let alone deliberately leaving hints.

But even if lives there no longer, finding his former abode might still give valuable insight.

Even if I don´t think him foolish enough to still wait for us to find the time, he has seen how much is on Snorris plate.

Yah the quote says that, something meant something or him, I think he gonna give us something though, and in that quote I wasn't speculating on his history

I looked it up and lexciuam say this In a hold, most of the territory is owned by the King

Short question. How do Golden Age Dwarfs handle internal grudges? I am sure that the Ancestors are doing everything in their ability to prevent the Clan Wars from reoccurring, but we know that they will be gone soon.

Do they already have something like a group of independent judges to clear up grudges set in place?

doesn't Snorri like predate the establishment of the Royal clan of Kraka Drak and in turn his ownership of the Land would be older than the Royal dynasty itself so how would they be able to clime ownership of Snorri's land with a straight face
The thing is the hold had governance even before the king was selected, presumably once Otrek became the king he inherited all of the holds pre-existing land ownership.

From some of the scenarios that GW published, they go to war.
