I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... And my arm... even my fingers... The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you?

Six Grontis that can combine into the arms, legs, head and torso of a giant Gronti.

A Gronti that pilots a bigger Gronti, which then pilots an even bigger Gronti, ad infinitum.

A Gronti that's programmed to build a Gronti bigger than itself, including programming that next Gronti to in turn build an even bigger Gronti, for a self-sustaining chain of ever-growing Gronti.

The Thronebearers have completely brunette beards? Not even half-grey or silvery, but outright fully coloured?

Doesn't that mean that the Thronebearers are not even Longbeards, let alone Elders, but freakin' Beardlings?

By implying that the Dawi would deploy Beardlings as Thronebearers, the artist of this heretical picture has surely earned a Grudge.

Modern Warhammer Dwarfs are not in a good place.
 
Ithilmar actually seems to have a few similarities to how we are approaching Gromril-refinement. It needs more to actually bring out it's true potential, but the additives don't seem to find their way into the final product, instead being used in working and purifying it.

Also, I believe the setting people are looking for inspiration from in regards to Dwarf-built City-mechs is Dragonmech. There was a recent sale on it where everything sold for about $11, but that's over so it's more like $110 for all the books. Sold digitally here, for whoever needs inspiration.
