There's a lot of circumstantial evidence for feathers being Dedolere, or at least heavily linked to us.

Linked to? Definitely. Of course, based on what Oriko has seen, it is also probably linked to Madoka and Homura and Sayaka.

But "Feathers" being caused by Sabrina/Dedolere? This is not likely. Oriko just said:

Both "Feathers" and Sabrina interfere with precognition. But Sabrina does so by changing things when she acts (i.e. being immune to Fate), whereas "Feathers" truncates and splices. These mechanisms are very different. Despite our earlier fears, Sabrina was not the cause of this situation. And Dedolere is currently inert and our witchout would signify a Bad End. So in order for this situation to have been caused by her, Dedolere would have to be capable of affecting the present from an alternate timeline or from a possible but not guaranteed future and doing other things that Sabrina is incapable of doing (splicing timelines, creating objects that don't feel witchy, blocking precognition, etc.).

It is theoretically possible that "Feathers" is Dedolere, but at this point it is much more likely that "Feathers" is something else, most likely Homucifer. The whole "timeline splicing" trick could also explain how Homucifer and Homura could exist at the same time and how Homucifer could exist at all (i.e. the previous timeline that Homura described should not have caused Homucifer to be created in the first place, but a spliced in Homura from a different timeline would explain the discrepancy).

If you use the Order<->Chaos scale, then we're clearly Chaos and the Incubators are clearly Order. Remember that neither Chaos nor Order is inherently good or evil.

This is possible and scary. I have suspected before that the Incubators make contracts with their insane. And an Insane incubator may attempt to game the system like we did. However ...

Maybe. However, concept-level threats (like the above) are so far beyond us, it's ridiculous. If that's the case, it's basically toying with us as there's nothing we can do to stop it.

I really think referring to Oriko in such a way that she's an explicit member of the group will exacerbate Homura's annoyance and distrust of us.

I kinda think we did, actually. We told her all the salient details at the time; there was nothing particularly sensitive about what we didn't tell her. (... Or wasn't up 'til right about now, anyway).
She didn't want to hear details, we didn't think there was anything relevant about them, and then things happened.
 
You know, for all that Sabrina supposedly has a perfect memory due to being able to re-read back over the thread, the reality doesn't really live up to that.

I'm just saying, you can't both be right, and actually finding out sounds too much like work for anyone to really want to do. Especially since it involves reading back over discussion posts, not only just story posts.
 
From what I understood, we weren't really trying to hide feathers from Mami so much as wait until it was more convenient to bring it up and then that never happened. It's a complicated thing to explain. But we have mentioned a threat. We have had no problem with letting Mami know that the threat involved feathers or Oriko's visions being blocked. Those were just details we never got round to mentioning as we didn't think they were relevant at the time.
 
The narrative literally just prompted us to come clean with information. If we don't do so right now, we'll permanently damage everyone's trust in us.
