Wait... how does bringing up WPN tie into helping Homurs social again??

Seems sorta abrupt.... I think I'm missing something with how fast posts go in this quest at times.

So... Let me summarize.

You're Akemi Homura. You just watched Kaname Madoka kill Walpurgisnacht all by her lonesome.

A hundred loops later you still can't do that.

Madoka never seemed all that strong. She was Mami's kouhai, not an incredible warrior.

So what does it mean that you're still weaker than her, after all this time?

And cut, break that by revealing that it's not strength that's been letting Madoka best Walpurgisnacht (and just carefully omit that at this point she could best Walpurgisnacht on strength alone because we're not revealing the potentialbomb).

Keep it wholesome
Right, so. In light of the recent stuff, I'm going to remind everyone to keep it clean. C'mon, guys, these are teenagers. From now on, I'm going to start actually handing out threadbans if the rest of the Staff don't get there before I do.

I include, by the way, imagined cruelty to the characters, because... come on. Is it really funny to imagine making teenagers upset? I'm not particularly happy with that sort of thing, either.

Keep it wholesome.

@Raiseth in particular, though: You've been around for long enough to know better. You're currently on threadban, but consider yourself on warning, going forward. One more incident, and you'll be eating a much longer one.

Doesn't Mami have a canon character sheet stating her favorite dish? Just like how we know Homura's is cream stew?

Madoka is the only character with an officially listed favorite food (and well Nagisa I guess). Homura's favorite was decided upon by Firn due to it also being Madoka's favorite. Either because it's a happy coincidence that shows how meant for each other the two of them are or because Homura's comfort food would naturally be things that feel like Madoka and reminds her of Madoka's happy world. We know that in previous loops, Homura has been to the Kaname residence. IT's trivially easy to imagine that Tomohisa's favorite cream stew is the first warm, homecooked, made-with-love meal she's ever fucking had oh my god what the fuck we need to hug Homura immediately I HATE this universe.

Kyouko's favorite food is "edible". Sayaka's is suggested to be hot dogs and other fast finger foods (which matches her voice actress like Madoka's). Mami's I actually got stuck on a bit; weirdly enough she's the character who touches on food imagery the most besides Kyouko herself, but she always is serving food to others rather than indulging herself. And Kaori Mizuhashi's favorite food is french fries which just does not vibe with Mami Tomoe, sorry.

We know she's a total weeb for anything Italian, and official materials suggest she has 'feminine' tastes; stuff like tea, light and cute things that won't hurt her figure. But these are about her presentation. Her image. I would imagine her favorite food, if I had to asspull... is Lasagna.

It has Cheese for Nagisa-cute, it fits all the data about her tastes we have officially provided, it's something she might be self-conscious about for being a 'heavy' dish and that would fit her character, and also it's something she might get comfort from making because it's involved.

Also Kirika's favorite food is pancakes. Oriko's specifically.

Um, how do teenagers usually act? Also, as a reference to see if such is inappropriate, what is the age of the individuals in this thread. For instance, I'm 24, but starting frequenting this site when I was between 13-16 years old, and I remember that this thread existed even back then. What is the possibility that others might also be here that are pre-adolescents?

It doesn't matter. These are site rules and a request by the quest runner. Please respect both.

Either I misunderstand what you're saying or you're arguing against the QM's ruling and need to stop. Like, seriously, defending posting suggestive content and sexual innuendos in a thread where OP is uncomfortable with it on a site that has to walk the thin legal line is such a bad take, I am almost sure I am misinterpreting something. In case I am not, however, I will say this:

STOP.

Edit: I apparently got ninjaed...

Just a reminder that the main cast are literally middle schoolers. Like 14/15 year olds (well Homu's brain is still at the developmental level of a 14 year old because the looping doesn't affect her physically, and Sabrina is technically an infant).

Don't be creepy.

Anyways here's something wholesome, if slightly blursed

I thought she had a thing for apples in particular, or is that just fandom flanderization?

Adventure time fusion universe, huh? Homura kind of fits Marceline, with a tragic backstory that frequently causes her to push everyone away, but Madoka-Bubblegum and Jake-Kyubey are strange hybrids.

Hard to say. We usually see her eating convenience store junk food, but when she decided she was going to try to reach out to Sayaka, she brought a whole bag of apples instead and offered Sayaka one.
Did she bring something special for a special occasion or was that just what she was able to steal the most of that day in order to split it?

Something goes horribly wrong with Homura's shield and main cast is transported to the Land of Ooo.

While the quintet is pondering if there in some sort of bizarre Dungeons & Dragons campaign, Kyubey....

[X] Hugs and follow-ups , now that the major portion of our talk is over with.
[] A few mostly unrelated points we wish to go over.

Here's my addition:

[] Suggest calling in Sayaka to fully brief her on the time loops, then sit down to discuss Walpurgisnacht and Kyubey.

Edit: Changed vote.

This will allow Homura to put the lesson she just learned into practice in a relatively safe manner and provide a smooth narrative transition from Homu lessons to secret sharing to future planning.

Apples are her symbolic food but not necessarily her favorite one. She's not shown having a preference but apples get you all that Christian symbolism and such.

Favorite foods? Mami's favorite foods? Well it'll take me a while to get through everything everyone's eaten in PMAS but as for lasagne/lasagna we've had it twice in PMAS. Once in Apprehension and once just now! And would you look at this:

"Maybe something Italian?" you suggest to Mami.

"Good idea," Mami agrees, her face darkening a little. "Homura definitely liked the pasta, back when... well."

"Hmm, yeah," you say. You reach for the cupboard, hunting for the pasta. "Spaghetti?"

"Well, it's not too late yet, so we have time for something a little more elaborate..." Mami notes. "Lasagne?"

"Ooh, sounds good," you agree. The blonde gives you a warm smile. "We should have some of the lasagne sheets somewhere."

Sabrina suggests something Italian like they had during the Timestop Hunt (Pasta pomodora) and then suggests spaghetti and then Mami says that they can make lasagne and she even has some pasta sheets for it.

You take a few minutes to decide, ultimately settling on a lasagna, which Mami happily seconds. Homura does hesitantly go for the T-bone steak, to Haruka's firm approval. The waiter is summoned to take your orders -with some appetizers on top at Ichiro's insistence- and departs quietly.

Mami only orders it after her girlfriend does.

Aura might be on to something.

I just realized something this is probably one of if not the longest running quest on SV/SB/QQ. The only two that I can think of them might come close our ignition and ninja ninja tactics over on SB and QQ respectively. NNT is wrapping up.

Kyuubey: Actually, you get to keep it.

You know I'm pretty sure the concept of an apple in particular being the Forbidden Fruit isn't actually in the Bible.
It isn't in the hebrew or greek no. But the latin word for "evil" is also their word for "apple". So guess what the fruit of knowledge is?

What denomination even is Kyouko, anyway? She doesn't sound catholic, because it said her dad spread teaching that were controversial with the original church, so he must have split off and formed something else, right?

You just described Protestantism in a nutshell. Protestants split into new churches based on ideological differences all the time (I was dragged along in two such splits growing up), so her father would not have gotten the scorn he did for doing so unless he was preaching something so vastly different from the norm that it was considered a cult instead of a new denomination. For context, Mormons are sitting on the border between a cult and a normal sect, so he would have to be more weird than them to get this reaction. That means they probably were Catholic or Othrodox, because those guys care a great deal when their priests start saying things the main church think are heretical or just plain wrong. And his followers would have cared as well.

I'd like to know what he was actually saying, actually.

Was it just stuff like "hey maybe homosexuality isn't a sin", or was it like that preacher in The Backwater Gospel ?

I've seen some speculation that her dad was actually anglican given he was married and had kids while appearing to be a priest. Granted i've heard that the Anglican Church nowadays is pretty progressive.

What were his unorthodox teachings anyways? Being gay is okay? Old Testament and New Testament God were separate entities? Jesus was a lizard man?

If the former, then he was almost certainly Orthodox, as those guys are the greatest sticklers for the rules and would have picked up the biggest fuss (They're defined by using the original versions of the mass to this very day, where Catholics and later Protestants were updating the wording and translating it into new languages). If the latter, then it's no wonder Kyoko's wish didn't end well.
