Oriko foresaw the Souju arriving on Monday.
Right, back before her power changed, and Sabrina butterflied enough since then that I'm not confident in the reliability of that prediction, or at least not confident enough to risk her friends lives on it. Tomorrow (Sunday) Sabrina has the big meeting in Tokyo with the memory-tamperer and then the council, and while she's away... yeah.

Better hunt that down tonight maybe?

I still fully expect Kyubey to selectively memory wipe people in a way that fucks everyone over.

On that topic, Kyuubey isnt ALWAYS deceiving... but everything it says and does is carefully calculated to get a specific outcome, and that outcome is generally very, very bad for meguca. And kind of the rest of humanity too really. So either way, don't blindly accept whatever it tells you. It's really really good at indirect lying because it ALLEGEDLY can't lie directly.

Unfortunately at that point it may well try to fuck you over by going "o yeah ur friend is fighting for her life, better get over there if you want to help" and if you dont go then it was a real emergency and your friend dies, but if you do go then it turns out to be something they had plenty under control and when you get back QB has arranged for something horrible that wouldn't have been possible if you were present. So you're kind of fucked either way when it comes to information about current happenings because itll try to guilt trip you either way. That would be completely in character for Kyuubey.

I expect that our current alliance with all of the friends we've picked up should be more than enough.

I mean, not only will the Mitakihara hometeam be there, but Yuki and her mercenary pals can get there within a moment's notice thanks to her powers.

We don't know where to hunt. We've got most of Monday blocked off for trying to find them because we can at least be pretty sure that they're going to be in Mitakihara at some point during that day, but unless they're walking that doesn't narrow down their location on Saturday a whole lot.
Can Oriko's current powers help? I forgot to mention that part sorry

We might not be able to hunt the Soujos down, but can we at least, finally, warn the people in the surrounding area about the fucking serial killer coming into the area? I don't think we've done that yet.

The question isn't weather we can't beat her under the circumstances of her attacking while we're away. If we're truly paranoid about it, even though a host of magical girls sounds much more powerful that a single girl, we can always bring Homura along with us while out of town so that, if the alarm is raised, they can contact us and we can use za warudo to get back there instantly.

The real question is what we do with her after we subdue her.

Put her on Yuki prison time for rehabilitation? Rip her soul gem away and put her body somewhere else? Outright destroy the gem?

That third option seems the least likely to occur, and I don't think we can reach her through prison time. She literally kills for sport, as soul gems have absolutely no use for a normal meguca. That leaves gemming her indefinitely.

Stick her in the freezer until we have a functional national-scale organization that can devote the resources necessary to safely rehabilitate them. It's harsh, but if there's any canon meguca who warrants that treatment it's them.

I personally have no idea how we'd fix their particular brand of insanity, but I'm fine with that.

We have done that yet for the Animators, Shiogama, Fukushima, and our immediate group. Kyouko might not know, the keywords I checked didn't turn her up.

We did tell Kyouko too, I ran into it in my rereading yesterday.
Okay then, glad to know it's been dealt with. That's just been my one knee jerk thing I always bring up since I first heard of them like a year or two ago, and it always got pushed to the side for whatever the latest more immediate problem is, even when it would have taken like 10 seconds. If the alarm bells have finally been rung I guess I can stop bringing them up every opportunity.

I don't really know for sure but exactly how bad was Kyoko's family's food situation? We're they surviving but with limited food or was it worse than that?

Actual scenes include several days of Kyouko lying to her sister that "The apple store is closed again" and yelling at her that a bowl of water is "soup" and she should eat up, and taking her into the woods to forage for wild strawberries.

It was BAD.

I feel like I should make a return to monke joke in here somewhere but it would be in poor taste... but even then maybe they'd get to taste something.

Now I'm morbidly wondering what would happen if you put a Fae and Kyuubey in the same room together,

Also can I have some clarification on how Homura's shield pocket dimension can do? I know it can store stuff but how much, what can it store, and so on. Some things I vaguely remember is that it can seal Kremlin grechten/Makodoka witch, in a joke series it's possible to enter the dimension, and apparently not sure if cannon that homura can keep the stuff in her shield safe through time traveling.

Also is it possible to store the mega witch walpurguis in the shield?

I'm going to have to ask where you're getting some of that information, I don't recall the slightest evidence Homura's shield can hold Kreimhild Gretchen. Or anything other than inanimate objects (though it does not appear to have a limit on what it can store in there since she pulled several stories worth of weaponry out of it in her canon fight with Walpurgis Nacht).

Pretty sure the holding Gretchen thing comes from Wraith Arc, where she can use it to travel back to the previous timelines but Gretchen is there or something like that.

The most interesting revelation we've had about what Homura's shield can store and take with her across time is Grief Seeds. She explicitly has Grief Seeds from Sayaka's witch in there.

Can we transmute stuff? Such as making iron to carbon?
Also thank you all for answering my questions

We could, but that would involve dangerous high energy physics that Firn warned us against messing with lightly due to the risk of a bad end if we botch it. We've been extremely careful not to exploit the full potential of our powers due to the risks of collateral damage that can be seen from space.

...right, kind of glad I was late getting caught up. It meant I didn't have to watch someone say something that got them sent to Horny Jail for their sins.

Anyhow, the whole point of this quest is to get characters to break out of their typical roles, you say? Relevant music, both for the Homusocial, and arguably for the story as a whole.
