I don't know if we are going to decide to explain everything or not this update, I just want to write up a hurried and babbling explaination that Sabrina might give.

"Hold up, I'm going to try and get everyone up to speed so we all can stop dancing around each other like a group of blind ballerinas.

Alright, First off everyone here knows Oriko is a pre-cog, however she is not infallible and it sorta drives her nuts that she isn't. There are a couple things that throw off her pre-cog, stuff like, time travel, outer dimentional beings, and Kiraka tickling her, and whenever something starts messing with the future that she cannot fully predict she gets panicky and tries too hard to get everything under her control herself (since she is too damn prideful to ever say "I don't know." {seriously it is not that big of a deal, I've been mostly flying by the seat of my pants this whole time I would understand the issue IF YOU WOULD JUST TALK STRAIGHT!}) currently there is a being out there that actively blocking her pre-cog that we have dubbed Feathers that we are about 90% sure is actively malicious since people usually die when they show up in her visions. So whenever something screws with the future she gets all worried like this. In the end though, she wants to be a hero and I'm trying to help her do so.

Homura came from the future to save Madoka Kaname and ensure she lives a happy, safe, and fulfilling life. Sorta like the T-1000 from Terminator 2 except more conscientious of property damage. She doesn't like Oriko because in one timeline Oriko panicked and ends up killing Madoka in order to "save the world" (it doesn't actually save the world). I wish her the best and are secretly shipping her and Madoka together.

I am almost certain I never existed since around a week ago. While I am not sure how I came into being, I do have many theories mostly involving another magical girl wishing me into existence. The reason I know alot about Magical Girls and the system is because whatever brought me to life inserted the memories into me while I emerged from my cocoon of Magical Girl VHS/DVDs, Anime Paraphernalia, Physics Textbooks, and microwaves. I've been trying to get everyone safely to their next birthday, but SOME PEOPLE keep making things difficult.

The Incubators are attempting to end entropy by using this Magical Girl system. Whenever a girl makes a wish, they take the excess energy from the wish to (If I remember correctly) halt the deterioration of stars (I believe ours is placed just behind Bettlejuice on the waiting list), They also gather energy from the creation of Witches, Whenever a Girl dies from Greif, used Greif Seeds, and more recently, my Greif Marbles they have a system to ensure that neither Magical Girls, nor Witches will overpower/outpopulate one another and are directly responceable for the creation of every Witch we had to fight. Kyubey attempting to create "The Most Powerful Witch" in order to harvest the most energy ever. However for the "most powerful Witch" to be created, he must contract "The Most Powerful Magical Girl" which is Madoka. That is why Homura is trying to keep her safe, happy, and away from Kyubey.

Now, any questions?"

I'm going to guess, Oriko means that events are occurring with no events preceding it to justify the occurrence. So reality warping, misplaced timeline etc. etc.

Basically what we were guessing the whole time.

edit: or it's Cras's idea of a part of a future timeline was brought to the present.

You know I wonder how we could test that. I mean, asking Oriko is the fastest and easiest way to get a good idea of the situation, but I bet that there's a way to really see if that's the case based off of observing other aspects of reality.

Then again, it's also true that we have no idea if there even are multiple timelines, much less how they interact. Making a working hypothesis is probably a really really poor decision with the lack of data.

Some observations:
Oriko told us that her actions had ensured that Madoka's death from the upcoming threat was "vastly less likely"... except that now that prediction is called into question because some timeline changing being is messing with things. So Madoka is still at risk from the threat. That's not going to make Homura happy.

When we outnumbered Oriko 3-to-1, Homura was more relaxed. Now that it's 3-to-2 (and Homura considers Kirika to be extremely dangerous), Homura is on edge again. Is there anything we can do to get her to calm down again?

But, that's the point of the soul gem. The body is just a meat puppet, and it flops down when there isn't a soul gem to connect with, because it has no soul. Put it up there with how electricity works in time stop, I suppose, because somehow energy that should be time-frozen is still being transmitted.
Note that the body is not just a meat puppet. When we were healing Oriko, the magical "heartbeat" in the soul gem was affected by the state of the body and we had to heal the body before the soul gem would work properly again. Also note that we still have not yet done the experiment to test whether our 100m range extends from our soul gem or from our body or both.

Before we start explaining, shouldn't we let Mami know that this involves some of the things we were referring to when we told her we have more scary secrets that she deserves to know but we don't know how to explain? The secrets that she said she doesn't want to be told.

May as well let her know and then ask if she still wants an explanation.

Maybe different phrasing? The wording as it currently is sounds relatively more Gung Ho and Pretty-Cure-esque.
Added a line.

Ehhh, this isn't really related to that, and is something she needs/deserves to know about too.

Homura's eyes snap to the seer, staring at Oriko. Sea green eyes meet faded purple ones and hold each other's gaze.
I kinda wondering, if this is an "I'm gonna murder you look." or an "Oh, you hate the furry little rat bastard, too." look.
Oriko hisses out a breath, her eyes twitching sideways in a lightning fast glance at Mami. "Yes. No. Yes, if you mean it bears similarities in action but not in form," she says.
Oriko is also pretty good at saying this stuff without revealing anything Mami doesn't know yet.

Does Mami not know about the Kyubey telepathy thing? Or is it that she doesn't know about the term "Incubator"?

...shit, that technically ties in to the witchbomb, doesn't it? At least looked at from a certain angle.

Might want to see if this is an isolated splice, or something larger. Check with a couple of the other future events we'd asked her to look into, such as the Soujo sisters and Asunaro. Not sure we have any other events that are still in the future that we can check on.

Basically, is this a full-world timeline splice, or is it localized to connections with perhaps a particular person?

Our fears about Feathers aren't one of our scary secrets?

Also, right now Mami just knows about Kyubey being an asshole. The concept that it's actively malicious is still a secret to her, and the only reason for WHY it would be actively malicious is the witchbomb....... I'd say that qualifies as one of our scary secrets too.

The Kyubey incubator thing is a can of worms, but I think Mami understands that Kyubey's evil- since it tried to get her to murder Homura.

Still no harm in reminding her that we told her that there's things we know but haven't told her, just to help lessen any of her panic that's caused by feeling out of the loop.

I don't like that last line. Mostly because Homura won't either.
There's a lot of circumstantial evidence for feathers being Dedolere, or at least heavily linked to us.
Linked to us? Yes. Dedolere? No. Oriko specifically said "It's not a witch. A witch you can kill" (Am paraphrasing, but she was quite clear that it wasn't a witch)

So does that make Feathers the magical girl analog of Cthulhu, as a comparable entity to Madokami's role of god and Homulucifer's role of devil?

Could be. Could be some alternate future us, Homucifer, somebody's dog...

We really don't have enough information to decide.
Homura won't but we do need to do something about her itchy trigger finger.
I don't think reaffirming our trust of them will do that. Remember: she thinks we trust them too much. Go ahead and say "we" because that's more vague and will cause less problems, but don't go including Oriko as a group member right in front of Homura. That will put her right the hell on edge. Remember how we pissed her off earlier? That was when we were trying to get her to trust Oriko a little.

Didn't we establish that Sabrina was the squid in "Angels, Devils, Squid" already? So wouldn't feathers being Megucathulu mean that she's Sabrina? Obviously, this isn't the case (unless it is), so Feathers can't be Megucathulu.

Nah, the Incubators fit better as the Squid in that trope. Magical Girls, Witches, and Incubators.

Oh god...... Does that mean that Feathers is a Madokami/Homulucifer class entity formed from an insane Incubator that made a contract?

Agreed.

Sorry Ugo. The vote needs a bit more work.

So Meguca are good, Witches are evil, Incubaters are Chaos and we're order? That seems... off.
