Yea, no need for SCIENCE! involving active witches at the moment. We got what we needed out of the barrier enterance (it extends into a direction orthogonal to all of the direction in the surrounding environment, aka, the fourth spacial dimension), and probing any further with familiars than we already have is too risky until we can figure out some way to protect against feedback and have others helping us if things go wrong. Furthermore, there really is nothing else special about an "active" witch that we really need to understand at the moment.
That said, we should totally add barrier creation and familiar creation to our SCIENCE! list, now that we have gotten some info from probing both of them.
It's possible that witches that don't appear in every timeline include girls whose witchouts are somehow dependent on variations in the actions of the main cast. As such, this glass witch may be a magical girl we can save. If we can save this girl, we need to try.
Also, as I said, if Kyouko doesn't want our charity, we can offer to hire her. She may be more interested in that.

Doesn't seem very likely, until you consider that Homura lists her today, and presumably doesn't hunt during night or school hours - which means something like 6,25%, or effective three weeks of year(using it as how long the girl would live if we help her. Yes, am aware this makes Sabrina help like having cancer) for spending 30 minutes (out of 8 hours) on searching.

Also, y'know, I'm kinda viewing Kyoko as someone close to witch as long as she keeps farming familiars. If we establish a seed trade, I want her to start killing them.
