Reminder to everyone that this choice is going to more broadly influence our governing philosophy going forward. If we're just making the choice for how to run the bank, Stewardship looks pretty appealing, but...do we really want to hop right back on the "silly barbaroi, Ymaryn knows best" train again at the first opportunity? 'cause that really fucked us over last time. People going on about how it's "traditional Ymaryn culture" are missing the fact that it is the specific element of said culture that caused our collapse in the first place.

Ymaryn (SV voter base) DOES knows best.
Provided votes are weighted 1 instead of being lopsided.

You know, I'm just waiting for the Philosophers we're sending to Not!Germany/Austria to cause them to unite and become our greatest enemy in Europe (not outside it though, that'll probably stay the Not!Dutch or Not!Portuguese...)

Just because I'm pretty sure that's one of the more likely results of this...

@Academia Nut just to clarify, what are we doing by sending the angry philosophers at the Not!HRE? Are we just sponsoring people to go talk about these ideas to the lower nobility and peasants? Or are we going to be sponsoring a civil war?

You are taking your most radical preachers and scholars and pointing them at the worst collective violation of the idea of a social contract between nobility and peasants around and giving them funding to go talk to people about the Inherent Rights of Man, and maybe also money to buy guns.

Do we still make Gardening based Innuendo!?

Somewhat, but much of the more deeply layered innuendo has faded with changing circumstances. Gun and cannon innuendo is popular, and in recent years all the talk about the bank has spurred discussion about 'growth' and 'financial instruments'.

how are the Highlanders these days?

Isolated, somewhat bitter but also having developed the social-cognitive bias of "The rest of the world sucks, we don't want to go outside anyway"

....yeah, it's "Germans send Lenin to Russia" on steroids. He, at least, was not supplied with guns or even funded all that much.

Well....I guess it's natural for Ymaryn to get on with the times.

Are they going to sit there until the start we are orbiting goes red giant/supernova?

I'm not against sending philosophers to places, but I'm annoyed that we're about to subsidize yet more people. Can't we at least make them live off the land?

You're probably also assisting the North Sea nations to cause more trouble than what they are already doing.

Ah, so we're basically doing everything to torch Europe short of actually starting Seven Years War.

Would the thread like the results if we did fan the flames, in your opinion?
