Wait, that's possible?
And would it be compatible with Gilded Age stability loss?
Wait, that's possible?
Not nearly enough to invite them to the games though. There's still limited contact iirc. I can't see our traders entirely abandoning such a source of gold.
Normally I'd say not, but...gilded age bonus.
I thought that a Gilded Age is sort of like the roaring 20. Huge wealth being spent in a irresponsible and unsustainable way. Having a large amount of babies can be part of that.Wait, that's possible?

Gilded age bonuses are not infinte. They stimulate things that are already there.
It's actually based on the idea of having a ton of wealth without any of the foundations needed to support it. Below 3 stability but max wealth means that people feel there are unaddressed issues, but they also see that people are making a ton of money.I thought that a Gilded Age is sort of like the roaring 20. Huge wealth being spent in a irresponsible and unsustainable way. Having a large amount of babies can be part of that.
If we can get a Diplomat Hero, I'd actually see if we can use him to stabilize our subordinate situation and/or diplomance the Harmurri even harder.
Up to and including diplo-annexation to get that sweet, sweet ocean access.
Going to the Khemetri seems a bit like a waste to me. Lets first shore up everything closer to home. And handle that no doubt epic fallout from the levies.
We have no idea what happened to the Khemetri, as far as I know. All we know is that they abandoned their northern colonies when the plague hit in a bid to quarantine themselves. Not nearly enough to invite them to the games though.
And keep in mind Trelli died and all trade was cut off for a lifetime. Any ties the traders had likely died during the plague.
AN told us that they were still around, but they'd pulled back to their core, abandoning their colonies and even some of their southern territory. We have no idea what happened to the Khemetri, as far as I know. It might be a good idea to send a sailing mission to the Khemetri, if only so we know what happened to them.
From the sounds of things they are still around but have retreated from the north into their core, and possibly whatever southern colonies they have been suspected to have. Whether they are considering reclaiming their northern territories is unknown.
Starting the boundary passage might be very helpful.
Gilded Age. Not Golden Age.
no, gilded ages are when theres a veneer of prosperity and stability at the top level, but underneath is growing social tension. the mechanic is named for the period of US HistoryI thought that a Gilded Age is sort of like the roaring 20. I think you covered the main points, but here are some other possibilities:
I don't think that the age will end until after we get an innovation choice, and that's post-reform, so...hard to say where wealth will be at.On the Gilded Age, we should be falling out of it at the mid turn, as our mercenary companies should unhook from being supported from Econ and counting as part of our Military score to prevent it from massively overflowing.

We've got spite quests because those factions are mad at "us." The spite quests are not the only way this anger is represented in setting, just the explicit one.
I don't think that the age will end until after we get an innovation choice, and that's post-reform, so...hard to say where wealth will be at.
And there's something to be said for happy factions when the new government system is about to give them a truckload of power. And there's something to be said for not having to worry about an action hijack when we're still trying to put ourselves back together in the aftermath of this war.
Don't our mercenaries auto-detach from being paid for from Econ to being paid for from Wealth to prevent overflow. As a result, our Wealth should be lower, at 19, and overflow Martial at 35. Econ will also be different.
Iirc @Academia Nut said that with alyx around being in red martial for another partial turn wouldn't hurt anymore than the levies already would, so the mercs are staying in for the main turn incomeOn the Gilded Age, we should be falling out of it at the mid turn, as our mercenary companies should unhook from being supported from Econ and counting as part of our Military score to prevent it from massively overflowing.
As a result we'll lose six Wealth and fall out of the Gilded Age.
