OK so we've got 8 econ incoming from refunds/delayed, mills will actually give us less econ than doing nothing at all. I need to consider further, but right now it's between stability and government upgrade for me.

Those won't kick in until the end of the turn.

We just dropped 10 Econ, and we're at 9 now. If that happens again we're going to start starving.

He stated that assassination is the only real way for him to get taken down (or shitty disease roll) and that if it happened before he became king it would likely set off a civil war...
Nah, he meant if a Ymaryn faction assassinated him, like some too-ambitious patrician. If HK agents were discoverered, we could probably do the equivalent of a triple-kick without even losing stability.

Heaven's Horse got rekt, but MoS held strong. Also, the Blood Rain were deployed there as it was a less 'hot' front and had a more defensible point, and they actually did quite well for a change!
Hawks turned to Horse?
Also pretty much ideal ground for a crossbow banner. Just sit there with killing grounds for you to shoot downwind
I just imagine the sound of a plane lifting off but louder and more of them at once
Deeper and lower pitched I think.

@Academia Nut - is the 10 Econ -> Martial conversion normal, or was it only this high due to how exceptional this turn was? And is this conversion a turn, or each phase?

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if we should expect to lose another 10 Econ to levies right now, or if we are good (for the moment). Could you clarify?

Whelp, I stand entirely corrected on this not going well. Those are some buuuuuullshit rolls, son.

Doing anything other than what this man says is straight up shooting ourselves in the foot.

I dunno, econ or something. Subject to change pending analysis.

I think the martial overmax penalty might negatively impact stability in a big way, and that the narrative of the festival stability helps us avoid bad narrative consequences from doing a bunch of restore order and enforce justice in a single turn, and could even help the narrative of the overmax penalty directly.

Holy fucking shit. Yes, we must king him, he is both gifted as hell and has a good attitude about it.

Okay, so that was a thing.

And we get to control eastern mountain passes to Lowlands. Perfect.

Honestly, this is a pretty good narrative moment for the festival and we do want to bring our stability back up. Hopefully the mass levy doesn't drain our econ again, but we've got some econ coming in this phase so we'll survive.

Come on people, lets give this guy a Fist Bump to end all Fist Bumps!!!

So, I was of split minds about what to do with our armies. On one hand, I can see the merit of laying down what is likely to be a March in the Horse Mountain. On the other hand, I really don't like taking extra territory, and besides, we are on the clock right now - if we spend our forces on the Horse Mountains, I'm not sure if the Harmurri will be alive by the time we get to helping them. And an extra stability would be really useful right now...

Then I remembered that Geniuses are functionally indistinguishable from magic, so if our Genius tells us to take the Horse Mountains, we take the Horse Mountains.

Err, no offense, but that was mentioned in the update post:
AN: You may notice that the Econ and Martial on the front page has changed. Levies will eat up Econ through logistics disruption and disease in the camps, but they can also convert Econ to martial. Your Genius general won so hard that a massive amount got converted this turn, along with other issues. Also, Tech dropped to keep trade going, but since Wealth is already at max a min of 2 was converted and then overflowed to Diplo.
So 10 econ->martial (and presumably the free light cav) were from a genius getting double crits, so i dont think we can expect another conversion of quite that scale. I'd personally expect only ~2-3 a phase without the genius, maybe 4 or 5 with the genius, assuming no more ridiculousness

@Academia Nut i dont suppose at this point we'll get a legacy for destroying civilizations? We've got 2 direct (Forhuch and Xohyr), one we actively contributed (Hathatyn), one we contributed (Pure, by way of fighting them and getting them to catch our plague), and one we kind of accidentally-ed (Trelli, who iirc died because first our economic policies crashed their economy, and then our bioweapon program produced the plague that finished them off) :p

That's a good point, though it's hampered by the fact that we're either at or almost at the end of the turn (this is the second half-reaction). The mills give us the same econ at the end of the turn, so it only matters if we both get a massive conversion again (noted to have happened only due to a very unusual set of rolls) AND we have more phases this turn.

I feel kinda bad for the yeomen though. So close to getting their quest done, but it looks like it isn't going to happen.

Hmm

@Academia Nut what is the likelihood of events playing out so that we lose all of our econ?
