Not that we'd do it, but aren't the Nomads a viable target for Nemesis Fashion as well as the Trelli?
I'm pretty sure I'd hate any of the nomad values even more than I hate Rule Of Gold, but I'd still like to know for the future. If the nomads don't count, it might actually be viable to break Nemesis Fashion by beating/killing the Trelli and running out of enemies with compatible values.

Nemesis is the CURRENT delenda-est candidate. The faction we as a whole believe should burn for X reasons.
The Nomads we collectively consider to be annoying but not really anything we can burn out.

Doesn't change that their ALSO hypocrites for accepting our aid, I mean damn make up your mind, either hate us and reject us or don't, don't bite the hand that is LITERALLY feeding you.

Their not idiots to recognize the neighbouring civ besides them was driving their demand and profited massively from their suffering and toils. They were afraid and wanted to self rule rather then fall under our dubious aegis.

They are NOT idiot. We are idiot for not fully thinking through the consequences.

I even asked the question of what the ??? will be and got the answer. The thread for whatever reason decided to go to war.

I mostly wanted to not commit suicide, so I voted to stay home, or at least that's how I remember my last vote.

The slaves aren't all collectively disliking us. Some appreciate the help and believe we're doing it for our gods, others cynically believe we're doing it for a land grab.

In this case they are, because there is no way they were winning without our aid, and they would have starved without it to. Were feeding and fueling their rebellion, without us their rebellion would have been fucked.

Slave rebellions, especially in the case of chattel slavery, are often a case of pure spite. They know they're going to lose and die horribly, the system ensures that.

They also don't care, as long as they get some payback

That's true, I can only think of ONE slave rebellion that actually succeeded...
 
This was a clusterfuck and the Trelli will see us coming from a mile away now and we made ourselves look like opportunistic vipers to the world(Khem).

Pretty much. The People can't be allowed to benefit in either territory or tribute in this war if we want a chance to unfuck the diplomatic clusterfuck.

Defeat the Trelli, free the slaves. And GTFO.
 
Which the thread won't do and not doing so will tank our Diplo narratively for a dozen turns. Hell most of our diplo score is going to be people to scared us us to make an issue

They did accept our aid but they would rather die fighting for themselves to be free then fall under our rule, its that simple.
