Our Ministry of Silly Hats is VERY SERIOUS. The Royal Society for Putting Things on Top of Other Things is remarkably happy with them though, and most agree that the temple looks better with its new addition. A silly little hat was just what it needed!

The pyramids were once cover in white limestone, but it was all stripped off and used to build other things with.

The Pyramids of Giza Were Originally White

I'd like to not be assholes and ruin such great works tyvm fam. If it's not built of skulls, in including those of often, and probably chaining the souls of the weeping dead to the Earth? Why do something so disharmonious as destroy it?

Ymaryn are not built to be bloodthirsty wreckers unless it's nomads or literally a negaverse run civ that decides to actually go through with the internet tough guy talk. And then some. If Kemetri is anything like actual Egypt then they're pretty okay guys by all counts. Hopefully they don't get infected by the Trelli.

But if we wreck Trelli the demons of Xoh might jump ship to Kemet, which worries me. Growing up from a young girl with a nice book about Egypt and Mummies has endeared me to them greatly. I'm not sure I could handle seeing them be perverted like the Trelli did.

Yeah, I'd prefer to just fight them until we've established we're King of the Hill and they can't have our lands. They'll probably be back for another go, but we'll also have the ability to build trade ties to avoid that.

I think that's inherent to losing KotH? Like, if one of our neighbors exceeded us in prestige, even if they didn't declare war on us to take the title, i think we'd face a choice similar to this one, only (probably) minus the lose of land and thus one of the stab choices

I mean...we've built a good number of wonders since we were told they were ahead of us...and we got 12 prestige literally just from the 3 wars around the time of the Xoh, and for that matter fighting off nomad hoards got us ~10 prestige even just since iron i think? Add to the fact that they sound like they're also pretty isolationist, but with a reputation of strength instead of a reputation of weakness, so its not likely they had a lot of "weaker foe attacks and gets stomped" like we've had. I think it makes sense for them not to have as much prestige.

Really? I'd think if we did it soon enough they'd back down due to us proving ourselves stronger than the Khemetri.

Now that I think about it, we're uniquely suited to generate prestige like crazy.

We Wonder Spam, which gives a ton of prestige on it's own.
We are seen as weak due to CA while bordering Nomads, which means that they will always try to fight us, which means they become a prestige pinata.
We are pretty tech focused, so we usually have better weapons, armor, and logistics than our opponents (especially true for Nomads)

So everyone basically would try and take a swing at us and then get beat back when no one was expecting them to, giving us a boatload of prestige.

But don't you see? Your quote proves that they're going to wreck the pyramids. They're going to take the limestone cladding. They're going to melt down the Silly Golden Cap. They're going to let it fall into decay, forgotten in the desert hinterlands. They're going to let generations of thieves strip it of any relics of cultural value. We, on the other hand, will protect it, make sure it makes it in all its original glory to the modern day!

We're not stealing it per se, we're preserving it!

What, you think we're going straight from driving the Khemetri off to manufacturing a casus belli vs. the Trelli?

We probably could do that - the Trelli don't have enough control over their pirates to avoid giving us an excuse - but I don't like what it might do to Ymaryn culture.

I suppose we'll see.

Oh, I didn't mean that we should try to start an aggressive war, I'd be against that actually, just that if they start a war through excessive raiding or conflicts between our colonies we should consider taking advantage of it.
