Proofreading :)

Black Soil - There are many places that could benefit from further black soil, but making more is starting to take up more resources than it is currently returning
Are these diminishing returns based on the fact that our lands are already fertilised? Will it change if we integrate more territory that really needs black soil, like our vassal?

Build Glassworks - A new material discovered recently, new luxuries and trade goods could be made from relatively cheap materials
*S: -1 Econ, +1 Wealth, +1 Art, small chance of new innvoations
*M: -1 Econ, +2 Art, increased chance of new innovations
Eventually this will stop being recent... but for now I guess it's still true.
Spirits - Builds temples
Should this policy be renamed?
Distribute Land - By reworking the distribution of land, the king can improve tax income and reduce pressures administrative overhead
Looks like there's a missing word here; maybe "reduce the pressures of administrative overhead"?
Expand Economy - Encourage the growth of food producing activities such as farming, pastures, or fishing, depending on where focus is placed
I don't think we place any focus when taking this?
More Carrion Eaters - Keepers of sacred and profane knowledge, the Carrion Eaters thread a dangerous path
Should be "tread"
New Settlement - There are a few new sites that could have new settlements placed on them: northern Blackriver, far north-eastern Redhills, south of cataracts
* S: +1 Econ next turn, increases number Econ Expansion depending on environment
Should just be "increases Econ Expansion depending on environment"
War Mission - You can send raiding parties against groups that have declared themselves hostile.
Should probably mention the existence of defensive war missions, especially since they predominate.
Extended Projects- Extended Projects are major infrastructure projects that take more than a single Main action to complete but aren't as all consuming as megaprojects
"all-consuming" should be hyphenated
every 2 salterns or expansions increases the per turn Diplomacy by +1
Hasn't this changed to Wealth?

Also it should probably mention the extra demand from Trading Posts
Mega-Projects - Mega-Projects can require many generations to complete, take an unknown amount of time to do so, and drain Econ while active,
They drain other stats too.
Once chosen, the occupy the Main Focus slot until either completed or stopped early.
"they occupy"

Could also mention the option of handing over to provinces on megaproject policy.
The Games - Physical competition and prowess are becoming a popular pass time and way for warriors and militia to train.
"pastime"

Bungie's Regional Examination Show!
Episode 3!

Wow I've gotten good ratings on last episode! Yay!
As always this will have tons of innacuracies and generally be one persons attempts at being very stupid!

Oh also! We have a guest speaker here! Introduce yourself!

"Halloo! I am Mr. Skull! This other guy is a dipshit." *clacks the skull on the seat near Bungie*

Haha yeah not funny. Dipshit.

"No you."

No how about you.

"No U!"

Nuuu!

*dustpile*

Ahem. We have sorted out our differences now. Onto what happened in Palace decisions.

We finally sorted out what to put in the Palace. And the Clerks will rejoice and make merry! For we have shrines and Libraries and Storehouses! All they could want to start out. Many happy thoughts were had and there was a great collective sigh at the idea their overworked states might lessen.
"Like they would be so lucky. PTSD-chan is going to cause admin headaches out the ass."

Yeeeep. They are only just beginning to see how fucked with work they really are. Poor People. WE NEED POPPIE HEADACHE MEDS!

The king is also hilariously happy that shit is over with.

As to the Palace itself it's supposed to be all the Bling. Literally all of it.
We can only hope Palace-sama stands up to our hopes.

"The Stallions have been doing great as amateur archaeologists!" Give it a few more centuries and we'll be seeing Indiana Jones's popping up left and right! But all the arguments it's spawned.

...

Though... "What?"
Are we sure they didn't spring a curse instead? "Oh shitsicles..." *Mr. Skull hides behind it's master* "Save me! Save me! I don't wanna get my ass pounded by Murphy!"

Hmm... Yeah it ain't looking good on this front! We just got a burst of ridiculous luck when the Hathatyn found sapphires. I must assume Crow, Murphy and Takei are all chomping at the bit to rip us a new asshole with our luck.
"~whimpers~" Oh come off it you coward. We should be fine! *surreptitiously lights a candle in a convenient ritual circle*

"It hurt the last time Murphy came through!" I know! I was there you dingus!

Anyway.

It's obvious that the Khemetri, the other part of our lucky break, are working on something. If we aren't experiencing market shock. But! That aside! Several good suggestions have been made!
"Sapphire Lazers because of bullshit GA rollz! A sudden need to pit overly muscular men in pose offs as they fight over a stone mask!"

My personal favorite is that they might be trying to use them as eye astringent when ground up. Ow. Bluer != Better.

On the other side back to the Stallions, they've requested study materials for poking limestone. Do you folks know what that could mean?! Mortar!!!

Glorious glorious mortar! Eeeee! CASTLES! CONCRETE! FERTILIZER!

ALL THAT AND MORE!

Our Trees shall grow big and and and alkjfbaoiaugfuaygauygfvauvf! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! *lightbulb breaks*

Ahem. No Mr. Skull you stay right there with that broom, I am perfectly in control of myself. *the being fastidiously dusts off their cravat*

On to other things!

While all this was happening, our domesticated nomads cooked something up in their little Orky heads. Tactics! HOLY SHIT TACTICS!

YAS please!

"AAAAAHHHHH GIB! GIB ME MY COMBINED ARMIES! AHHHN~~ STAAAHP AN!"

<.<

You gross motherfucker. *wields conveniently handy broom at the hyperventilating skull*

"Hey you had the same reaction back when you first saw them." *Nathan Fillion can't deny it.gif"

*picardpalm.jpg*

Dammit let's just... get on with the show. "Sure!" *glares* Anyhoo. The HH have out done themselves trying to out do the Red Banner. Hmm, tangent! Are we sure they don't have a version of Best of the Best inherited from us? Off tangent.
So yeah a chief took a look at young men, and women, throwing sticks and spears at poor animals and an inner part of him said "My ancient human instincts remember doing that about 1000 years ago! THIS IS A GREAT IDEA! Let's outfit them!" And thus we got javelin skirmishers, who honestly sound like a nomadized version of Roman Velites. I can't find any problems with this by itself, but what this chief did with them then was nuts. He's started thinking about combined army maneuvers. Blocks of infantry and archers supported by flanking skirmishers. Holy Crow that is like classical armies right there! Eeeeeeeeeee I think I may explode! I mean imagine when these concepts expand to cavalry support!

"Calm thyself sir. I know it's shiny but..." *smack!**Mr. Skull goes flying* Nein! Neit! Neen!

This is huge. This is how we fuse the high speed drive by warfare of the Steppe and the onrushing doom of the Red Banner. I want this so bad.

"Bleh, stone dust in the teeth, pshhheeh... Anyway as a final note from me the people we have taken in have been a bit of a bag of dicks." Sad ain't it. "Yep. That's inconvenient to say the least."

And as a last bit of news the Nomads still haven't shown up.
I-I mean what the fuck guys? Are you shy? Having difficulty rustling up the courage to shove thyself deep into our hilly bosom? DO YOU STILL LOVE US!?! DO YOU!?

Truly, a mystery for the ages.

Also it's rather mum on the front of literally everyone else. I truly wonder whats up.

And that's all for now. "Later you poor bastards!" *kicks skull into the rafters*

"WHEEEEEEEEEEE!"

As always this is meant to be stupid.

A/N: Glad I didn't forget! Thanks for reminding me @Lilithium! On another note I am feeling the urge to draw again. I think... yes that one will do...

Say, I was just reading through our civilization overview, and noticed a couple of things:

- Technological and social advancements from refugees only come with the higher amounts (the ??? options):
and technological and social advancement by absorbing especially large numbers of people,

So, if we want CA to evolve and get more efficient, or maybe fuse with something and gain extra effects... Yeah, I'll likely be voting to bite that bullet whenever possible.

- The benefits of copper age law suggest that Iron Age law could be a pretty awesome upgrade. Extra province action bonuses maybe? Improved Enforce Justice? Something new and even more interesting?

Actually does anyone think we can integrate the Stallions next turn? They completed their temple (their source of pride) and by that time we'll be at diplomacy 12.
Integrating the Stallions MUST wait until all of the following are true:
  1. We have built the Palace, and therefore won't risk exploding from the admin strain of one more province.
  2. We are at positive stability, preferably 2-3, and therefore won't risk exploding from red martial.
It would also be highly preferable, albeit not strictly necessary, to be at a time when the Stallions aren't busy fighting a war, since they won't be happy to see their provincial power reduced from two mains to less than a secondary while they are trying to kill things.

I brought it up mainly because I'm pretty certain that our diplomacy will start overflowing after next turn, which is a major waste. We don't have a lot of big ways to bring up our diplomacy and considering we're going to need at least 30 diplomacy to integrate all of our various territories and our vassals it looks like a bad idea to waste our diplomacy on overflow.
First of all, diplomacy overflows into Art, which we really need right now; that is absolutely not a waste.
Second, we probably don't want to integrate everyone simultaneously anyway, so the passive stat drip should probably be enough to manage. If it isn't, then we can use the Econ -> Wealth -> Diplomacy overflow pipeline; particularly effective since integration already gives Econ.

Yep.

The first one has been known for a while but I am of the opinion that even the smaller waves help, and we know from the example of Dromthun the Iron Man that CA is helpful in our technical innovation just by itself.

I was thinking along similar lines for the second one. Harmony evolved into Symphony on the update right after the Law finished so I think they are connected.

  1. We are at positive stability, preferably 2-3, and therefore won't risk exploding from red martial.
Alternatively, we offload Martial, eg to our vassal, with Support Subordinate, and boost our tolerance by increasing provinces.

Integration also drops Centralization, which allows trails, and main trails gives Diplomacy.
But yeah, we can collect enough Diplomacy for an integration every three turns with just our passive income.

While possible in theory, that would take a LOT longer; Support Subordinate only really drops martial one or two at a time, and it drops econ and takes actions at the same time. Increasing Provinces is equally slow, if not slower.

No. Much better to just up our stability.

Did we ever trigger the ??? that came from absorbing everyone?
I didn't notice anything from our mid-crisis wave, but that might not mean anything. Could be that we got a roll but didn't succeed, could be that there was something subtle. Has to have put some evolution pressure on, though.

While possible in theory, that would take a LOT longer;
Yeah, well, the fast way is to make more mercs, which I don't think we want right now...

No. Much better to just up our stability.
Having a war to send them to immediately could help, too. It's when they're just sitting around that they cause trouble.

And I don't think we'll lack war for a while :|

Feels like a no-brainer to me.

Well, the Expand Econ option would definitely help the megaproject along.

But with such attractive development options, we will have Centralization space, and we know we need the trails. Could theoretically save the Cent room for a double main, but with the Palace and the war, that's not happening soon.

Hey, do we know if the bonus Martial from We Have Reserves affects our cap in the same way as regular Martial? Because a bunch of farmers with some basic combat training aren't going to pose a threat in peacetime; they'll be busy farming.

And I suspect that some of the Stallions' Martial comes from WHR.

If I recall correctly, beyond what Kiba said, we got the Village Fiasco when we were only partially capped.

In other news GIMP is super fun for art stuff. I'm going to be super busy with drawing some things for this quest.
