"Soon indeed," thinks the GM.

I would say I am scared, but, well, it's pretty much normal here; especially now with possibly ending up on -1 Stability after the current vote, which would be...bad.

Also, why no love for the Megaproject Support? :( We need 3, maybe up to 5 Wonders as soon as we can. Without this policy, it will take literally....up to 500 years to do all of them, assuming no emergency happens?

This still requires Econ as well as actions, and so we wouldn't be able to maintain two turns of solid megaproject construction regardless.

Edit: Actually, this isn't quite true; a good enough mysticism stockpile would let us blitz the Library, because that doesn't require econ per action. Still.

*does some quick head math*

...

Yeah sounds about right on the time. I would have been okay with that winning, not what I voted for but I would have switched if it got above twenty votes.

The core misunderstanding here is that ctulhuslp I don't think minds letting the True City status go. If we switched to Mega support and then just focused on that, the True City would have popped and then we would have two megaprojects complete in short order. Valid thinking which I don't happen to subscribe to but *shrug*.

Emergencies are always happening. At this point they're more of bi-turn anti-holidays.

No, the core misunderstanding is that I'm not talking about the True City.

We've got 8 econ left, and most of the megaprojects we'd want to build cost 5+.

We'd have to switch back out of Megaproject Support between projects anyway, so we might as well keep the True City up and running when we do it.

Oh. Well in that case provinces on Megasupport will still do Expand Econ if we start getting low. So something like Expand Econ (Main via Law), Megaproject Main(2 Secondaries), Secondary to do something else with.

Your participation tends to be a great mix of funny and insightful (with a side order of acerbic, but oh well), so...yeah.

We still need, to varying degrees of desperately, Library, Temple and Palace to deal with our Mysticism tax, with our need for census and government centre, and our need to preserve ideas.
Games and Place to the Starts would also be good (Games, in particular, would probably be appealing to Northern Provinces, and PttS, well, prologue to more Math and/or Calendar which are all great), but not actually needed.
Even only those 3 above will take 14-20 Main actions. Without MP support, that's 15-20 turns - aka 300-400 years.

Even if we can only take, on average, 1 MP support action per turn with the policy on (which is a low-end estimate, mind you), it's still 8-10 turns instead of 15-20. Which gives us 150 more years to do other stuff, with bonuses from each one appearing that much earlier.

12-16 econ worth of stuff. We've currently got 8 econ and 6 econ slots.

What you want is physically impossible.

Huh.
Yep, you are right. We need either True City slots or to expand here. I'd prefer expanding to the east because nobody really wants the hills and there is only so many people you can stick into a limited land, but that actually makes having a City on more appealing that before. My bad, thanks for pointing it out.

Although...it's 11-15 now because we've already done 1 turn of Temple. Doesn't really deny your point though.

I prefer 'unfestival', thanks.

I think golden age and true city have a lot of synergy, if we can manage it.

Hey, I awoke this morning to find that occupational was back in the lead, and instead of switching to my Ancient Sumerian Darktounge character set to type out what came to mind I just calmly, quietly, bit off a finger at the second knuckle.

Perfect.

I hereby propose that for anytime shit goes tits up we declare a new infestival. We already have the Military Fuck Up to draw from so that can be the first Infestival.

Seasonal infestivals can be improved via salt gift.

Oh, good you folks cleared it up. I'm bowing out of this discussion on megaprojects now. To Infestivals!

And this appears to be the option we are going for!

[x][CA] Xohyssiri
[x][Clan] Roll back, institute occupational administration within Valleyhome (Possibility of stability loss)
[x][Main] Great Temple
[x][Secondary] Build Vineyard
[x][Secondary] Enforce Justice
